Artegelato does the trick in satisfying my gelato needs.

They have a good selection, and I love seeing the personal touches of flavour clues on top of the containers.  For example, bubble gum flavoured gelato has actual large gum balls on its surface; vanilla has vanilla beanpods...

As for the taste... I had the very dark chocolate, mint, and Bacio, and all three flavours were rather yum.  Especially the rich dark chocolate.  The flavour just kept going in my mouth.

After ordering, I noticed even more flavours, and even some lactose-free versions of some popular options.

    Would I go back? Yes.
Recommend the place to discerning friends?  Yes.
Service was: friendly, genuine, basically all that I could want from a gelateria.

Super = you can order as many flavours as you can reasonably fit on the medium size...  maybe even the small one.  Felt guilty about my portions though; might go for the kid size or piccolo one, next time.

The patio is pretty good if you're heading there with a baby in tote.

Try the "cafe" gelato, sooo good.  Actual bits of coffee beans make it super rich and delicious.  My other favourite gelato here is the plain vanilla.  Combine the 2 flavours together and you've got a little taste of heaven!

We always take ours to go. They have 3 sizes of take out containers, we always get the small for 10+tax which is always more than enough gelato for 2 people.

My favourite place for gelato so far!
The small size is actually quite large for the price.
We had Skor gelato, guava cheesecake gelato, coffee gelato, and chocolate peanutbutter I believe.
The Skor one didn't have enough pieces but it was creamy. The cheesecake one was soo good! And we each got a cookie in our gelato for free.
The server was really friendly, he offered us water while we were eating and checked up on us. We later took advantage of the cheap coffee there, and the server designed a cute little star into my foam. : D

I love the rainbow changing lighting on the ceiling! Can't wait to come back some evening.

Recently, I visited Artegelato with my baby and friends. The gelato was terrific! I wish there was more coconut in the coconut gelato but the other flavours were great. Also, there wasn't a change pad table or even a little table to change baby diapers. I'm not sure why not since kids love Ice Cream! A helpful employee put two chairs together for me in the washroom for me to change the babe. I am really hoping they will open their patio soon.

While I was eating my quarter chicken at Sardinha across the street... I saw Arte Gelato... and I know where I would be going next!

Though it was getting a little chilly, but I know I want gelato before winter really come!

The girl that served me was super friendly and I found out she was the one that made all these delicious tasting gelato!! I was offered some tasting and then I got a small ($3.50) which is a size of a medium at any other places!

My small cup was jammed with 3 flavours.. they tasted so rich, smooth and creamy and I hope they were not too fattening? Gelato supposed to have a lower butterfat content lower than ice cream.

When I asked for a glass of water, I was served with sparkling water with no extra charge...

I love gelato! I love Arte Gelato!

I've been watching like a hawk all summer for this place to open. They really dragged their feet renovating and only launched on the final weekend in August. Of course, I was away that weekend so my long awaited FTR got scooped by a 3 liner. No big deal though. Legitimate score for Raghida.

When I returned from cottage country and caught the glow of Arte Gelato's open sign I knew it was time to try. Truthfully, I'm all Baker Botted out and was up for something new.

Arte Gelato's owner was friendly and advised us of their dairy-free sorbet items. He mentioned that all the gelato is made on site and more flavours would be coming soon. I wasn't blown away by the watermelon flavour, which tasted very sweet and a bit artificial. What really did it for be was the pistacchio. When you get gelato, you should always get a nut flavour is something I've learned with time. Usually I go for nocciola (hazelnut) but I was feeling adventurous and I liked the soft green colour.

The best part about Arte has got to be that they don't limit you on the number of flavours you can get. Just choose a size and pick away. Once you choose your flavours, they make it up for you. Make sure you say the one you want the most of first, because you'll get the biggest portion of this one, filling the bottom of the cup.

Then, in a break from Toronto gelato place tradition of modelling their business practice after a late-night gas station, making you pre-pay before you even decide what you want, at Arte you get to pay AFTER you've got your cone. Amazing!

Bye bye Dolce! Don't think I'll be wasting the energy to walk down to College for your over-priced, mediocre gelato that requires pre-payment.

Cozy and clean!! The coffee is good and the gelato is great.  So many flavours.. too many to choose.  The price is right for the amount you get - bring a few friends and share a few flavours... service is impeccable.

Only 2 reviews?? more people should know about this place!!

Very friendly staff, and they let you have unlimited flavours within one container! I had the coconut and the pistachio. The coconut one was amazing and I couldn't stop eating it. Pistachio was also good, very smooth, and is on par with all the other gelato places I've tried in town.

Would love it if they sell gelato cake and if they had more unique flavours.

I am not the gelato critic but my partner is and he loves this place.  I finally went today and had the pistachio and hazelnut.  Very good...though I think the pistachio was better.  I'd say it's as good the place on College street I like but I think it's cheaper.

My son had the vanilla.  Prices are great.  they have kiddie cone prices and reasonable prices for the size.

Very clean too. He's renovating and putting in a pizza oven. If his pizza is as good as his gelato,my partner will be there every night!

Worth checking out if you like gelato.

Boldly leading the way in the gentrification of the Ossington neighbourhood, this is a cute little place with tasty home-made gelato. Their Pistachio is amazing.
