This place is a true knitter's knit shop. The owner was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Her selection of yarns perfectly balanced high-end drool-inducing yarns with extremely well-priced utility (but not gross) yarns, good selection of fair-trade products, a decent selection of notions, quirky button system, and an over-all very cozy space. Clearly the owner knows her stuff, and orders products with real knitters in mind.
The thing that most struck me about Ariadne Knits is that it is very clean and organized without seeming sterile and unwelcoming. Its a difficult balance to strike, and this place does it beautifully.
