    Soggy and greasy pizza. Tomato paste had an unpleasant overpowering taste. Toppings seemed fresh but they weren't cooked thoroughly.

    The pasta was one of the worst I've had. It had an unpleasant slippery texture. It was devoid of any flavor. The sauce felt very artificial. Very sour-tasting tomato sauce. It was very watery as well. There was hardly any effort or care in the food, let alone sophistication or passion.

    The worst insult is the price. It is very overpriced. Even if the foods are decent, I would think twice about paying the prices they are charging.

    Revised Dec 10th.

    No longer one star - revised to two (2) stars as the corrective action by the staff met my expectation. The restaurant was apologetic and delivered two (2)  sandwiches (without the cheese) and declined to take the uneaten ones back. I will give these to family as they are untouched.

    30 Sec Summary
    ----------------------
    - The sandwiches were 7/10. Not bad but not the traditional veal.
    - They cut the veal into strips to fast fry them in order to re-make the order.
    - The sauce was excellent as was the bread.
    - Aside from the major mistake in the order - my only complaint was the length of time it took to get the food.
    - it took nearly 1.5hrs to get two veal sandwiches + salads @ cost of $25.00 including taxes - Not good value.
    - I could have gone to Woodbridge (7 & 400) and find the same identical product, ordered, paid and eaten the food, done some shopping, grabbed Costco gas and gone home in the same amount of time....seriously this is the last time I buy something from Ardente

    EXPENSIVE MISTAKE 2 - I WISH I HAD CHECKED YELP FIRST!

    Folks this was the former location for Dante's which has moved.

    1. Come an order 2 (two) veal sandwiches + salad = $25.00 - confirmed I did not want any additional toppings....no cheese (repeated this one so many times) and the owner still went on about all his toppings....
    2. Waited 30 minutes
    3. Advise them to hold hold yes...hold the cheese...extra sauce please.
    4. Watch approximately 5 customers come in after me and leave with their PERSIAN food (I wish I had ordered that instead)
    5. Takeout....result.....THEY ADDED THE DAMN CHEESE...sorry folks I am pissed right now....I asked repeatedly no toppings and hold the cheese.
    6. Waiting right now for a delivery guy to bring my replacement order....
    7. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is no a Pizza/Persian food place...but this really bites especially considering the price. I really miss Dante's...The veal used to be $7.00 with no sides required. $25 is too much for too little and the wrong order.
    8. Seriously I am starving right now....

    UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!

    I hate to waste time, money and get absolutely the worst result.

    EXPENSIVE MISTAKE -Ardente Pizza has the worst delivery service I have ever experienced.  The order finally arrived an hour and a half after it was placed.  The delivery guy was shocked that I needed a pen to sign the visa slip and was annoyed when he handed one to me.  As I went through the bag I found that they hadn't put any cutlery in it.  I guess this wouldn't normally be a problem but I wasn't home and had no cutlery.  I called the store back right away.  I spoke with a lady who very nicely explained that the restaurant normally does catering and as a result they don't put cutlery in the bag.  I explained that I didn't have any and assumed that a small individual portion of food wouldn't be mistaken for catering.  She put me through to the manager at my request.  I spoke to Nick who identified himself as the manager/owner.  Nick began the conversation by raising his voice and telling me that it is not his problem but if I want him to have the delivery guy return with cutlery it will cost me $10.  Confused I explained that I had paid for my food and delivery and I won't be able to eat it.  He said he's not going to be out the cost of the delivery which he stated was $10.  Nick asked me what I expected and I said I expect that he would absorb the cost of the delivery so that his customer wouldn't be out the cost of the food and be able to eat the food that was delievered.  He told me I was unreasonable.  Nick yelled at me and interrupted me as he continued to tell me that this is not his problem. I told him that I would be making sure that no one I know ever buys from his restaurant and that's when he hung up.
