FIrst it smells, it is small and has been around for a long time. It needs some updating. We came as it was part of our City Pass and were pretty disaapointed. We felt this was a filler to make you think you are getting a better deal on the city pass.
This would be a good place for small children. -

Went here yesterday with the kids. Didn't have high expectations and this basically met them. It is pretty small, 30-45 minutes would be a long time to go through all the exhibits. I mean I thought the one at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas was small for the money. This one is quite a bit cheaper, but much smaller too.
No Penguins when i went, which to charge full price and have a main attraction missing is pretty lame. The Seal show was good, but make sure you're up top, kids can't see the stage through the water which is above their height. Other exhibits were a bit small.
They do offer a discount if you have season pass to Buffalo Zoo, which might make this worth checking out, while you were up in the falls. But not much of a destination point in itself. -

I'm Sorry but This Aquarium is Horrible.
I took my nephew there yesterday who is 3 years old and LOVES fish and all animals!
The place smelled horrible, was dirty, allot of the fish were missing, it is really small (it took my nephew only 15 minutes to get through it which is hard to do...he likes to take his time normally), I could go on and on.
There website is TONS more exciting then the actual place and on the site they talk about a "big renovation" that was completed....which had nothing to do with the inside or outside of the aquarium...it has to do with a building that you have to walk across the street to see which is about the area and about Niagara falls...we didn't even bother going there.
Huge disappointment.
Costs $6 for kids, $10 for adults.
I'm sorry to be so rude about this review but they should shut the place down and donate the animals/fish to other aquariums.
Even the fish and penguins looked bored. -

The place is small and doesn't have too much in terms of water life, though it does a pretty good job of scratching the surface. Be sure to check out the electric eel, the piranhas, Lake Erie exhibit, the sea lions, and the Magellan Penguins!
Five stars for the great penguin exhibit- cased in glass, looks like a real South American Pacific coast line, and looks like at least 15 penguins. When I was there, they had a keeper show us the 3:00pm feeding. LOL those penguins seem to know when its feeding time- many of them seemed to be waiting for something or someone!
The gift store was also small but has A LOT of stuff. Penguin shot glass for 5.00 made a great souvenir!
You'll probably end up spending 1-2 hours here. Its okay to take photos, but you cant take photos of the live squid. Something about it being sensitive to the flash lights. Of course, the penguin exhibit seemed the most popular, though the girl working at the counter said the sea lion show was the best.
Before I forget....
The only downside- daffy tourists who are rude, have no manners and no sense of American and Canadian culture. Then again, many American and Canadian tourists were the same way. Don't let these bastards ruin your day. I didn't.

I Found Nemo!!!
I can't say enough about the Aquarium of Niagara Falls! It has lots of (OK - some) fish and eels and sharks' and turtles an penguins and seals lion and sea horses and soveniers. Be careful, tho...the building is round and it was about an hour before I figured that out. I thought they just had lots of penguin exibits. They have an awesome seal lion show where they do tricks and you can also see them outside in theyre pool before you go in to see them. Or after if you missed them on the way in. There's a community room and in summer you can go out on the roof and look at Canada. It looks alot like America, only a little colder.
PROS: Gramma likes the sharks.
CONS: Smells like the fish market.
