Out of all the times that I've been to white oaks mall, I have yet to have gone to Applebee's, so on this recent trip to the mall I decided today would be the day, and stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. I was not very impressed to say the least. Upon enetering the restaurant we waited at the door in confusion for a couple mind wondering if someone was going to seat us or not, when we were finally seated and handed menus the waitress didn't come back for at least another 10 mins to even take our drink orders. The service was terrible and the restaurant was like empty so I don't see why the service was so bad on this day? Not to mention the decor looks like an outdated American chain restaurant from the 90's (which it happens to be anyways!)

After looking over the rediculously overpriced menu I decided to try the $13 Philly cheese steak sandwich with fries. The sandwich itself was pretty gross, the steak tasted like meatloaf and it was very bland, the bun was also soggy and not too good either. The better half ordered the combo appitizer platter which you get to choose 3 different apps for about $16 which is also drastically overpriced! She got some pork wonton tacos which were actually the highlight of our dinning experience at applebee's, and the sauced up chicken bites were pretty good as well.

None the less I will never return to applebee's ever again, the service was terrible and the food was on the same level and way too overpriced for what it is! Avoid this chain crap and go anywhere else! I mean the quality of food in the food court is hands down better.

A colleague and I had a midday meeting in London today.  We had a late lunch afterwards nearby at Applebee's in the White Oaks Mall.

We were hungry so shared a couple appetizers ... Mozzarella Sticks (golden-fried and served with a tasty marinara sauce) and something that resembled kettle chips with a cheesy dip (I don't know what they were called).

We both ordered Ultimate Trios. Steve got Steak Quesadilla Towers, Chicken Bites and Pulled Pork Sliders.  I got Riblets, Chicken Bites and Pulled Pork Sliders.  At $17 each a trio, they were kind of expensive. In general, we found the food kind of blah and not very tasty. It seemed to be mass produced frozen food.

Steve loves what he calls "lunch dessert" and ordered a Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae (a warm chocolate chip cookie, topped with vanilla ice cream, covered in hot fudge, Oreo cookie crumbs, and chilled whipped cream).  It looked good.

Neither of us were impressed with the food.

Our server was Brianna and she took good care of us. She was very friendly and as helpful as she could be considering she was new.
