This is an interesting alternative to the internet cafe. As the name indicates, the primary focus is gaming. It's mostly computer gaming - the only console game they have is Rock Band.
The computers are designed for the ultimate gaming experience. Each station also has headphones with microphones. I'll admit I'm not very well versed in the newest multi-player network games, but for those who are this is the place to be.
Be sure to check out the website for theme nights. They offer Anime night on Sundays and have student night on Wednesdays. They also host tournaments and have groups you can join if you're into specific games.
This is a unique concept for Edmonton. It's a hangout for gamers. There are a couple of arcade games - the ones where you put coins in and play. There's a spot to sit and read the latest gaming and computer magazines.
I was tempted to try out Rock Band but resisted because they have it set up right in the front window. Besides, I'm not so sure it's a great solo game.
The prices are reasonable and they offer memberships for purchase which can save you even more. They have wireless access available for $4/hr as well.
This is an all-ages place as far as I could tell. They do not serve alcohol. In fact, they don't even serve diet cola! It's all about sugar and caffeine at the confectionery aside from bottled water.
It's a great place to check out whether you're an avid PC gamer or new to the scene. They even have a promo - "Bring a Noob and both get an hour free."
