Anita Market is a Middle Eastern grocery store that carries everything from Middle Eastern candies and desserts to pickled goods and produce. They even carry Orchid's line of pastries. The boxes are beautiful and the pastries look DELICIOUS.
At the back of the store, they also serve food. They've sell Shawarmas, Kebabs, Donairs, and Grilled Eggplant & Tomato sandwiches for all you veggies out there.
The service is good and there is NO WAY that the desserts at the front of the store wont have you salivating at first sight. -

Anita's is a small Middle Eastern Market just south of Chinook Centre in a stripmall on MacLeod Trail. Inside, I was greeted with a smile and felt welcome to browse their selections.
The layout of the store is half market and half deli counter. The market side was highlighted by fresh baked Middle Eastern breads and hard to find spices, as well as canned goods and regional sweets. The deli counter side served prepared foods - shwarma is the speciality of the house. They also have a large bulk nut section, with a wide variety of nuts on display in bowls, for sale by the pound. So if you're preparing your own Middle Eastern masterpiece, or just hankering for some authentic shwarma, drop by Anita's Market.
