Simply the best place in new west for brunch / breakfast. You just have to be patient for your food!

This is the perfect Sunday brunch place. I always expect to be there for two hours as the service is on the slow side but I don't mind at all as the coffee is great and refills keep coming. You can see the Fraser river from certain seats so it's a very pleasant wait. Just pick your company wisely as you'll be chatting for awhile.
The Dutch menu items are excellent and I consider the portions to be on the large side. I struggle to finish mine most times. I usually never have this issue.
I like the warm atmosphere as it's a small family run business. They're a vanishing breed. I love the photography hung on the walls. The photos were taken by one of the family members. It's a nice touch.
Remember to take a credit card for parking. -

This is where you go for a leisurely brunch on a sunday. The place is unassuming, kind of got a home-diner feel, and the food is great.
Yes, the service is slow, but it's brunch, what's your hurry? This place is awesome for sitting down with someone and having one of those good conversations that lasts for hours. They keep the coffee coming, and the pancakes were fantastic.
No, don't go here if you're in a rush, it's a busy place with few tables and not a lot of staff.. but if time isn't an issue, this place is a fantastic brunch spot.Listed in: Brunch Love

Such good pancakes. They put stuff in the pancakes - like bacon and mushrooms - and it's amazing. So yummy.
I didn't notice the service was particularly slow - but then again I went for breakfast at 7:30am on a Saturday morning - not the usual brunch time I guess!
The server/owner(?) was also really good with my nephew who was 2 at the time... she brought him a whack of little toys that distracted him while we got him to eat his pancake.
If I didn't live in Kits, I would go here way more often. -

Angelina's doesn't promise, but always over-delivers. This place has friendly service, delicious food, inexpensive menu, and a fabulous location that keeps you coming back time and time again. Highly recommend the panekok's. They are to die for! Add a side of fresh fruit (extremely fresh and delicious) for a few extra dollars and it's the perfect meal!!

May 8, 2011, Sunday, Mother's Day. Right off the riverside boardwalk, next door to The Boathouse Restsurant and close to the riverboat - a small place with a patio. The server seemed a bit disappointed perhaps when she asked , "Two?" and I answered "One." But she put me on the list. The place was full and us late arrivals (9am) sat outside. Not raining and a cool breeze but what a view of the Fraser River. Then the sun retreated and I asked to be moved inside, which they did without question.
Angelina's serves Dutch style breakfast, and the menu talks about panekoeks, etc. The coffee is so good - deep and dark and rich! And it arrived promptly and they kept it coming. I sat down at 910 and waited for my order until 950am. 40 minutes for pancakes - but they are very good. Thin and the size of a griddle pan, with mushrooms and bacon inside and cheese on top. (See pic.) They brought syrup too. . I saw some of the other food on other tables and it looked good too - pancakes with bananas and whip cream (there was a special on pannokoek with fruit and whip cream for Mother's Day). The kind of the place where you can sit and drink coffee and natter with your friends. They do not give you the bum's rush.
The bill was $16 for the large pancake and coffee.
They are only open for breakfast and brunch, according to the sign on the front door. -
