Review from Ashlee F.
Anchors Above is open in rain or shine, and everyday of the year! I went with a large group and most of us (actually, possibly all of us) were zipline virgins. Some of them were actually scared of heights! All of the staff were great; they answered any and all questions we had, and were super nice! It actually felt like we had a few extra friends with us :)
There is about a ten minute hike to start; make sure you dress appropriately. One ride does consist of two "zips". There is a long line of 1100ft that goes straight across, and then a shorter one of 900ft that declines back down to the parking lot. One ride is $30.00 per person; $25.00 if you come with a group; which is over two people! If you want to go for another ride they only charge another $10.00, but you can go as much as you'd like for only $60.00, I think that is what I'm going to do next time!!
If you are going with a group reservations are suggested, but not required. -

First off, if you go, get the full day deal! It's unlimited ziplining for $60.
Sure, you can shell out the $30 for one go ($25 if you come in a group) but why not pay double and make a day out of it! If you leave Halifax early enough, you can get in a few runs before lunch, grab a bite to eat (perfect picnic opportunity) and then get a few more runs in before heading home.
It's not all just ziplining though: expect to do quite a bit of uphill hiking. Wear appropriate shoes. No, seriously, you'll be walking up a steep hill on a rough path. This is not the time for stilettos. No matter how much you want to re-create a scene from Priscilla.
Staff are kind but have this wonderful laissez faire attitude towards the actual ziplining that, on the first go, is a bit disconcerting. I'm not entirely sure it isn't well-crafted to add a bit of fear to the proceedings.
As much as I enjoyed my time; be aware that there are only two lines and there's only the hike between them. If you're looking for a more adventurous course, drive the extra hour or so to TreeGO in Moncton (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...).
