I wouldn't say I shop religiously at American Apparel, but it is definitely where I go for:

    -Socks
    -Tights
-Hoodies to lounge around in at home
-Various articles of clothing that I wear once and realize I look like my mother in the 90's and it ends up at the bottom of my closet

The staff here aren't bad but they aren't amazing. I prefer to shop without the help of strangers anyway, so I don't care. I like to browse and find what I'm looking for on my own. If they want to sit behind the counter and text, I couldn't care less as long as they help me if I need it.

The sucky thing about AA is the quality of the clothes themselves. A knit sock will unravel, other garments come apart at the seams, and no matter what you buy it... it will almost always shrink in the wash or become so distorted you question why you ever shop there to begin with (and I always take great care to follow care instructions). With that said, it's a tad overpriced... but a follower of fads, I shop here anyway.

So..I walk into my local American Apparel in search of a plain white T-shirt or maybe some retro shorts for summer...no need to really describe the setting as if you have been in one American Apparel you've been in then all....

I started slowly working my way through the store..I passed 2 employees..no hi..no how are?? So..I keep looking..I pass 3 more that are tending to a display...no acknowledgment what so ever...so finally I'm walking with 3 items in hand making my way to the fitting room..4...that's right..4 more employees are standing by the fitting room unpacking stock...I stand there..I stand there...I clear my throat...NOTHING...I could have lit myself on fire and the little hipster wannabes wouldn't have even pissed on me to put out the flames...to make a long story short..I walked out...

What happen to todays generation?? When did it become acceptable to "work" in a store and be acceptable to disregard customers?? Like..I should feel blessed to even be allowed in their greasy..tight jean..mint sweat shirt..more 80's then the 80's environment...

To summarize...I hate the American Apparel customer experience...but I do love a good plain white T-shirt not made by underage children..so I am forced to shop there..but I don't like it...
