If you know me, I can't stand crowds. I shudder at the thought of going to Scotiabank Theater on a Friday night when a popular movie first comes out (unless its the screen where you can book your seats, but even then..)

The other reviews of this place are TRUE! When I am looking for movies, I always see if this AMC has it, despite living 10 minutes away from Sheppard's Cineplex and Empire Theaters at Empress Walk. It is quiet and not many people come here, especially if you are seeing a movie that has been out for some time. Granted, it is busy on Saturday night's, but it's not the same downtown traffic.

The only thing I would caution you is sometimes, this AMC doesn't have the most latest movies, but that doesn't matter to me. Ample seating space and quietness is all I ask for when watching movies. You have to come here if the above are important criteria!!

By the way, I am a loyal AMC fan so I have the discount card which means you get about $2 off per ticket price! The card is free to sign up so do it! Each of my family members have this card!

Have to agree with everything Charlotte said.  Perhaps the Agincourt area it is located in has less movie patronage due to lower income or perhaps it just has too much competition, but this is a great place to see a movie without a hassle.

While they don't have a lot of decor or frills, the screens are very nice and very large for the relatively intimate sizes of the auditoriums.   Sound was good too.

In the land of $9 movies, I don't know how AMC gets away with charging $13 a head.  With a seniors discount, you can pay the usual $9 entrance fee.

My only explanation are less crowds, and their "love seats" (e.g. the arm rests are adjustable so you can lift them out of the way).

With that said, this theatre is well-maintained (again probably because of less crowds), the staff are always friendly, and it is some place you can go to have a relaxing and enjoyable time at the movies net of chaos.  I guess it depends if you value less crowds enough to fork over another $4.

I am appalled to find that no one, not one single person, has bothered to review AMC Theatres at Kennedy Commons.

This is by far my FAVOURITE theatre in toronto. Not because it's relatively close to my house and it has lots of parking and food nearby, But because it always, and I mean always plays the best selection of movies.

This is where I first saw Lost in Translation, and where I recently saw Black Swan.   Sigh.

I've read over the one other review and I totally agree that there needs to be more reviews of this location.  Never a crowd and always great movies.  With their customer loyalty card, they have the best prices.  Also, I like the fact that the arm rest can be tucked away.

I love this location. Especially for the A.M.Cinema on the weekends. Always a ton of movies playing, especially ones you can't find anywhere else. The prices for concessions aren't as expensive as Cineplex. It's never crowded and the entire place is immaculate!

I like that I can fold the arm-rest up on the seats there once I finish with the drink holder. It's more comfortable and less constricted by the arm-rest handles when I can slouch back to relax over a movie.
Also the selection there is always great. For whatever reason the people are always quiet and  respectful during movies there.
Anyways IMO this is the best theatre in the West Scarborough neighbourhood. Don't forget to get an AMC MovieWatcher card for $2.50 off each movie:)
$13.00 per movie with no discounts :( a bit overpriced, but still worth the overall experience
