This is the best "hidden" chocolate spot in Toronto. It is tucked in between a pet store and PicNic on the south side of Queen Street.
Chocolate selections change with the season. My favourites are:
Hazelnut
Scotch Whiskey
Gran Marnier (special for Valentines Day)
Easter brings chocolate bunnies filled with passionfruit and
eggs filled with almond and pistachio (get them while you can)
In winter nothing beats the spiced hot chocolate (no powders here) flavoured with orange, cardamon, cinnamon. I love it as an intense shot without the milk.
Summer brings a variety of house made iced teas and ice cream.
Baked goodies are always available. I don't eat muffins anywhere else, but if the apple raisin bran or cranberry/orange is available I enjoy them.
They make great coffee and offer you a free chocolate with your coffee. I don't live near by but this place is worth the daily trek. -

This is a little hidden gem of a place in south riverdale, which I only discovered after being gifted some of their amazing wares. Like another reviewer, I am a huge fan of their Whiskey truffle as well as their beautiful salted caramel and surprising lemon-flavoured chocolates. Look beyond the non-descript storefront and enjoy the magic that goes on inside!

Spicy Hot Chocolate ($3.50) on a cold winter day...mmmmm..heavenly!
Ambiance Chocolat is small cute chocolate shoppe.. the store owner so friendly and nice, welcoming me in on a cold winter afternoon.
The hot chocolate here is rich, creamy and oh so fattening.. in a good fulfilling way, worth every calories and no skim milk please!Listed in: A Day in Riverdale!, Chocolate Shoppes in GTA!

Small but wonderful selection of chocolates. Plus, they carry my wife's favourite selections of tea. Score!
Friendly staff are willing to clean the display after I drooled on the glass. -

This is a small Chocolate store in Riverdale, in a room with only a few tables and showcases. Decor is tasteful, a combo of brown and yellow hues. Fresh flowers are on the different tables here. Service is very helpful, and went beyound my expectations as a customer.
There are a few offerings here, mostly small cubes of chocolate, $1, each. I swear by the Scotch Whiskey... Beyond the cubes, there appears to be specialty coffee, and hot chocolate.
It's true that the hot chocolate is from another dimension - it's from heaven. I could suck back cups of these well into my first coronary. One thing they don't advertise is that they do offer spicy hot chocolate, and trust me, it has a good kick. -

My favourite chocolatier in Toronto. Their quality of chocolate and the care that goes into making it comes out in the flavour. Try their amazing truffles. My fave 3 are: caramel with sea salt, lemon, and pistachio. They're out of this world.

Yum! Yum! Loved their chocolates so much that I used them for my wedding favours. :) Caramel chocolate with sea salt is my favourite.

I tried to access Ambiance for the longest time - over a year transpired before I was able to actually get to the store when it wasn't closed (I always make the mistake of assuming coffee shops are open past 9-5 business hours). When I finally got past the front doors, it was worth the wait to try the heavenly hot chocolate that had been long recommended to me by many friends. It was absolutely decadent - SO dark and rich (apparently it's made with 55% valrhona chocolate and 35% cream, which makes for QUITE a lethal combination, in a good way) that it most definitely leaves chocolate stains on your lips. An amazing indulgence!

so i went back and left feeling quite pleasured. why? i tried, more like moaned after having tried, a jalapeno pepper and lemon caramel chocolate. spicy, tangy, chocolatey and rich. i had the rightly named "cream of hazelnut" chocolate both in its regular format with bits of hazelnuts on top and in its diabetic friendly without sugar format topped with a chocolate covered roasted hazelnut. and then one more with 72% dark chocolate mousse. all were great coupled with my mochaccino - basically hot chocolate with a capp. most of those chocolates are 95 cents each, but worth it. better to make the few you have mindblowing than a whole bunch of mediocre ones.
