You've always wanted to be artistic & creative as an adult, but:
    1) You didn't have the time or money or room in your schedule in college.
    2) You didn't have the time or money (or maybe the motiviation) in your 20's.
    3) You don't really want to go back and take Drawing 101 in your 30's, do you?  You just want to make something awesome.  Now, please.  And maybe you'd like a hobby outside your occasionally demanding job?

So, here's your solution!  This is art and creativity INSTANT GRATIFICATION!

The process of creating a mosaic is so cool because it's really multi-modal.  You really don't have to have formally-trained art skills to create something truly great.  Believe me on this one.  You use visual, kinesthetic, and just your gut instinct skills to make whatever it is you like.

Amber has loads of class, color, & style options for you.  You take ceramic tiles or pieces of broken stuff (plates, colored glass, & other interesting pieces) and you glue them to a surface: a shape that looks like... something (a turtle, a "welcome" sign, or a stepping stone) and then you fill it in with grout.  It's kind of like an advanced pre-school project in technique, but you feel much cooler...

Amber is there with you every step of the way.  If you want help selecting colors, you got it.  When it's grouting time, she'll show you, help you, whatevs.  If you want to get deep in your meditative groove, she'll give you all the space you need.

Her class prices are inclusive of EVERYTHING:  instruction, studio time, materials, her tools, etc.  So, it's very reasonable when you price out everything.  The atmosphere is supportive and fun, whether you want to be social and giggly or pensive and internal.  It's all good.

I've had work parties here and friend parties with guys and girls and gone on my own.  The best part for me has been that I've discovered an art modality in my adulthood that I can do without slogging through Drawing 101!

Check out a class.  You cannot help but have a good time.

Looking for a good creative outlet in a low stress environment? Take a mosaic class from Amber, and you'll have a fun time with a great finished product as a bonus! Amber is a patient and welcoming teacher who is comfortable dealing with students at all levels. Her own work is excellent, and it's great to be able to tap into that talent in her classes.

Amber's class was fun and informative. The beach themed table top I created for my baja beach house is wonderful and I get tons of compliments on it. I hope to do more classes with Amber in the future.

My friends and I took a table top class from Amber and found it to be relaxing, fun and creative. She is a wonderfully patient teacher whose sense of humor helps her students really enjoy themselves. At the same time, she is very knowledgeable about the" how to's" of mosaic, and creates wonderful pieces herself.  We each designed and completed a beautiful table top that we now enjoy in our homes. Try a class!

History

Established in 1998

Amber's Artistry was established informally over 20 years ago.  Amber has been a working muralist, mosaic artist, and instructor during that time.  However, in 1998, Amber formalized the business name and opened her own store front teaching classes, selling her own artistic creations, and representing various local artists on the cutting edge - art that challenged the norm.

Currently, Amber has a class studio in La Mesa and continues to create art for retail sale as well as commissioned art, which is held by collectors around the world.  Come and check out Amber's website, cruise the class descriptions, and decide if you are ready for some artistic meditation (TM).
