Review from Zakk D.
After craving Chinese food for the past 5 days, we found Amami on the top floor in the Whistler Village.
The place was pretty crowded with people, and the wife and I still got a cozy little table straight away. Nice local guy was our waiter and his recommendations were spot on.
One thing I wasn't a fan of was the crunch noodles in the chow mein. Not sure if pan-fried noodles as the basis of chow mein is a California thing or what, but it was the first time I had crunchy noodles like that.
The hot and sour soup was very good, and the gyoza was top-notch as well. I didn't try the fried rice, but the table next to us did and I wish I had ordered that instead of chow mein. -

Food was so so and the staff was very friendly. I ordered a beef teriyaki with onions ramen and gyoza. The beef was tough and the gyoza was ok. My wife had fried rice, and that was pretty good. If I come back to this place I would probably order their fried rice.

One of the regular spots when I'm in Whistler. Definitely order the fried rice and the crispy chicken (appetizer). I usually give 5 stars to all my regular spots, but I think the food could be better. Still, its probably the most authentic Asian cuisine you'll find in Whistler.
