Al's has been in Bells Corners for as far back as I can remember. My parents first brought me there when I was young for a nice dinner just before Christmas. And that is what this place is for, nice dinners with friends or family, or business yet it isn't a snobby place to go. Walking in it's a weird feeling. I'm always reminded of the '70s when I go in there. Maybe that means it is dated, or maybe it means they have kept the atmosphere they want without compromising. Whatever it is, it sticks out. walking in the door there are a few photos of noteable people that have stopped by the restaurant, like Jim Belushi (not that I'm a fan) and others. The food is pretty much what a Steakhouse should be, good steaks and good seafood. Nothing specific jumps into my memory of anything negative involving the food. The drinks flow freely, with some decent wine on the menu. Parking is plentiful, and it is located in Bells Corners, so as long as you don't try to go there during rush hour, it's a pretty easy place to get to. The atmosphere is either classic or dated depending on who you are, and that is the only thing that might change your mind about this place. As the saying goes, there is only one way to find out.
