I love this place! Delectable goodies are crammed into every corner. They have gourmet cookies, pastries, chocolates, breads, everything! My favourite part are the baskets filled with different types of shortbread that they bake there. They have plain, chocolate, brown sugar, lemon and maple. Delicious! At the back of the store you can buy cakes, pies and fresh crispy flatbreads. They have a to-go section where you can pick up pasta, skewers and other stuff for dinner. The freezers are stocked with frozen pot pies, cookie dough, ice cream sandwiches and pizza. They also have a fresh cheese section, that has some pretty good brie selections.

Charming! Delicious cupcakes and other desserts. I really like their in-house prepared dips and cheese selection. My only complaint is that they are overpriced to the point of being ridiculous!

Gourmet tastings all over the store--- and they were all superb.

Clean, lux and tasty food, what could be better?

We walked away with a sack of hand-picked home made cookies, but could have easily cleaned them out of house and home (or store and shop as the case may be).

What a great little shop!  They carry all kinds of goodies from high end places in the city, in addition to their own store made goods.  They even have a selection of chocolates from Soma in the Distillery district!  My friend treated me to a holiday gingerbread person (my own non-denominational, non-sexist cookie term) and it was truly delicious.  How can a little gingerbread person be so delicious?  It was not overpowering in ginger spice (remember her? her singing career bombed after leaving the Spice Girls), it was buttery and he/she melted on my tongue (sorry for the crude imagery. non-perverse review, uncheck).

I also tried Stollen for the first time, a German cake containing dried fruit & marzipan covered with powdered sugar.  I've never been inclined to try Stollen, since I always thought it looked like a dry loaf of fruitcake-type bread, and I hate fruitcake.  Boy, was I mistaken!  Here, it was a joy to experience.  It was melty, sugary, nutty.  The bread part tasted like the insides of a soft baguette.  The dried fruit was not candied maraschino cherry crap, but good quality dried raisins and berries.  All together with the smooth powdered sugar, YUM.  I would buy a loaf of this!

Also of note: bags of sesame cheese sticks at the cash counter.  Salty, buttery, crispy, wonderfully addictive.  Expensive though at nearly $10 a bag!  Yikes!  But you do get about 25 Pocky-sized sticks in there.

We used All the Best as caterers for our company's 10th anniversary party yesterday. Excellent value, food quality and presentation. All the guests were raving about the food. Everything arrived exactly as ordered, on time and ready to serve. We will definitely use them again!

Can I say I am a fan of All the Best Fine Foods?

It has such a great website with what they have cooking for the 3 weeks.. so you can really plan what you want to serve before you even step inside the store...

I would say this is a dream for someone that too busy to cook, too lazy to cook, and too bad that she cannot cook (ok! that's me!) The Family Supper is an excellent and quick way to feed your family a decent dinner and the only skill you need is to know how to heat them up (hey as long as you read the instructions that comes with it!)

Of course as long as you have a deep pocket or you really wants to impress your guests with all these Gourmet food/Prepared food/desserts... All the Best Fine Foods is the way to go!

I could almost copy & past my McEwan Gourmet Grocery review here.  Walking towards Petite Thuet, I almost wanted to skip it when I saw this distinct quaint shop that stood out from the condominiums, 2 storey shops and the parliament-like building next to it.  It drew me in like a Farmer's Market calling out to me.

Gourmet Food, Prepared Food, Cheeses, Breads & Pastry, Desserts line this small shop that I would say has the same as the McEwan Shop I went to but this I would fall in love more simply because it felt COZY although lacking the overwhelming variety McEwan provides.

    I will copy and paste:

A Window Shopper, Culinary Student, or a Foodie can spend some time looking at some of the interesting items here, although actual purchasing might not occur due to PREMIUM cost of most items.

3.5'd because it was something intangible that I liked more than McEwans.

Baked Gnocchi and Gruyère with breadcrumb topping.

I repeat: Baked Gnocchi and Gruyère with breadcrumb topping.

I couldn't draft up a tastier flavour combo in my very own dreams! The lasagne-like dreamboat was served by weight (who knows how much 100g yields? Not me. I instead asked for "enough for my dinner tonight") and came out to just over $5 for a one person serving. You can judge for yourself if that's expensive or affordable, but I sure as hell was satisfied. It tasted exactly like it sounds - pillowy gnocchi baked in a gruyère infusion and topped with herbs and breadcrumbs. I never wanted it to end.

As one of the Five Thieves in the Summerhill/Rosedale, this place sells all sorts of breads, croissants (the pain au chocolat was quite good/substantial), cheeses and (un)essential oils. The star of the show is the food to go; from the options housed in the glass case you can cobble together a very hearty meal. They also sell an accompanying cookbook with recipes from the store.

I have officially fallen in love with this store. A few weeks ago I bought some All the Best cheese sticks from another store, which were THE BEST, I mean THE BEST cheese sticks in life. i crave them to this day (this may explain my chronic headache - withdrawal pains I say). I happen to stumble across the store, and it didn't hit me until I stared dead centre in the store, what I really came across.

Other then the cheese sticks, which at this store they sell per weight - and rather pricey - they have cookies, desserts, frozen food, over the counter food, bread and other bakery/pastry items. Price wise, it's pretty expensive I won't lie. I haven't tried anything other than the cheese sticks. But if the cheese sticks are any indication of the taste of their other food, then I can only imagine that everything else would be good.

They have a lot of samples in the store, so you're lured into buying something you didn't plan. I resisted from trying anything, I knew, oh I knew. This store is temporarily relocated, it's a little bit squished and busy, so just have patience.

I've had the Sesame Cheddar Cheese Straws (don't know if that's the same as the cheese sticks raved about in Lynda W.'s review) at All the Best, and they're okay. They're actually better than okay, but I lose part of my appetite when I think about how much they cost--$9.66 for a 230g package. That's more expensive than steak! At that price, the little sticks should be laced with hash or something.

The store itself is a little blah, considering the neighbourhood and the prices. But at least there they have a discernible excuse. The current location on Scrivener Square is temporary, as the storefront a few doors down is being renovated so they can move back in style, flush with cheese straw profits.
