One of my fave locations. Gets 4 stars because it was so crowded there was nowhere to sit to try on!

Loved that the new pumps came with stick-on treads for the bottom, and the woman helping me gave great tips on how to apply (use a blow dryer afterwards)!

Snagged a great pair of black satin peep-toe heels with a bow on sale for $40 for my company's annual gala. Sweet.

Also (shhh... don't tell...) got a pair of grey legwarmers on sale for $6. Even sweeter.

When did Aldo's become the shoe equivalent of Le Chateau? Cheap mediocre Canadian commodities that are expensive, uncomfortable and essentially disposable after one season! If you are looking for a shoe to go with a specific dress or an event and don't want to spend the time looking for nicer shoes at Winners, by all means go ahead, but you've been warned... these mass-produced puppies are ridiculously uncomfortable (even the flats).

Sadly I was having a shoe emergency and Aldo's was my last resort. I got stuck in a downpour with my flats, which rendered them stiff, smelly and generally unacceptable to be wearing in public. Luckily Aldo's colour palette was just the right shade of electric blue. Not only was the price a bit outrageous for plain blue wedges $90, but they didn't have my size in the colour I wanted.

The sales associate offered to have them shipped to my door for free, but I needed them right away, so I asked her if one of the 5 Eaton Centre locations had them. Funny enough, none of them had any!  I ended up having to go to their First Canadian Place location who, get this, had 10 pairs in stock! The allocation department should honestly hang their heads in shame.
