Whether you are looking for a place to have some classy drinks, or a meal that is better than pub food, the Alcove has you covered.
When I've dined here the atmosphere was always great, service friendly and professional, and the food was amazing.
The price might be a little steep for students especially if you plan on buying alcohol, but for a special dinner it is definately the place to go.
Hot Hint: The vanilla bean cheesecake is to die for. -

We enjoyed a fine dinner at the Bistro. We shared an appetizer of scallop cakes which we agreed we could have meal out of. They were that good. We both had thin crust pizza which were tasty and made with fresh veggies. Topped off by fine bottle of wine made for a good dinner on a rainy night. Our server Leanne was prompt, courteous and pleasant. What else do we want for a meal out?

Stopped here on the drive back to Halifax from Cape Breton. Good size and tasty salads. Good seafood chowder. Pizza for the kids. Kind of hard to find (many turns off the main drag) but a good lunch.

The Alcove is one of the best restaurants in Antigonish. The menu is always interesting, and the food is delicious. It has a very nice feel and is decorated well. The dishes are reasonably priced, for the quality. The serving staff are very friendly.
