You were right yelpers. This is it! Love. I am in love. And it's all thanks to you.
I got hitched last year, which was great and all, but more importantly, that meant I could start getting massages covered by health benefits. I had only had two massages in my life. Once right after we got engaged (good, but it was at a spa, not a proper massage clinic), and once by a student at Makami College (it was the worst). After yelping it, I found Alberta Momentum Massage had a ridiculously good 5-stars and many of you couldn't say enough good words about the place. That was good enough for me! So off I went to book an appointment through their handy-dandy online scheduler (thanks for the tip).
I got in to see Jenn just a couple days after I booked. She was very friendly, handed me the "new patient" form to fill out (very thorough), then took me in for my massage. The office is bright and welcoming and everyone seems cheerful. Very clean, too.
My shoulders officially feel amazing. They had been pretty sore for the last couple of months and Jenn fixed them right up. She really listened to where I needed the most attention and was very communicative throughout the whole appointment. She used the exact right amount of pressure, but checked to make sure it all felt OK.
The price is right, booking an appointment online is my new favourite thing, and the massage was fantastic. Thanks for the suggestion, yelpers - I'll definitely be going back! -

A massage therapy place that's open 7 days a week, including evenings? That's what you'll find at Alberta Momentum Massage! Not only that, but they offer the convenience of scheduling your massage online, you can choose the length, the date and the therapist with just a click of your mouse.
Before finding AMM, it was often difficult to schedule massages on dates and during times that were convenient for me. Now not only am I am to choose the date and time I want, but I can schedule a standing massage with my favorite therapist.
The therapists here are skilled and friendly, and I would highly recommend any of them to anyone looking for a good massage therapy place! -

I have been to several places for massage therapy, including mobile massages at my own home as well. Alberta Momentum is by far the best. It is conveniently located just 10 blocks from my place. and I really like to online scheduling bacuse that means I dont have to play phone tags!
The place is very clean with a relaxing atmosphere. I have been to enough massage places that I can tell if the therapist is being "impatient" or "lazy/tired" during the session. The RMTs there are very professional and always ask how my last treatment was and what how what issues I like to be treated today. I am confident to say that I have never had a bad service from them.
I have always had Jennifer and Michelle and they are both awesome. Once time, I actually forgot my credit card and (I think it was Michelle at the time) did not show a single bit pressure and told me to phone her back when I get home and do an over the phone transaction. She then emailed my receipt right after.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The one down side is that, it is very hard to get an appointment because they are always fully booked. To get in, you have to at least book 1-2 weeks in advance. -
Review from Linda N.
Started going there for regular massage appointments relatively soon after they opened. Really liked the place and the people and was very happy for a couple of years. Recently I started feeling that the place is getting a little too big too fast, as I haven't been as happy with some of the newer therapists working there. Since it is also hard to get an appointment without booking weeks in advance (especially with my preferred therapists), I started going elsewhere instead. Would recommend the place but not all the massage therapists.

I started going to Alberta Momentum Massage Therapy because of the easy convenience of being able to book my appointments online. Little did I know that I would find a massage therapist I LOVE, in a great location.
My RMT's name is Tia and she has been able to work on numerous problems in my back/neck/legs but doesn't leave me bruised up for a week after like some of my other RMTs. I like that she always sits down with me beforehand and asks about what issues I'm having and how I reacted to the last massage. She is conscious of all of the sports injuries I have and all the activities I do, which is always much appreciated.
The spa itself is very nice and clean, very quiet and with some newer renovations. I like that they have a large staff and lots of massage therapists available - the reason I have switched RMTs in the past is because I have had issues getting an appointment! But not here - booking online is fast and easy. And there are lots of timeslots available. Evenings, weekends, even holidays.
Pricing seems quite reasonable to me - an hour long massage is $80, which is about $15 cheaper than the other places I have been going. There is lots of free parking behind the building, which is a nice plus.
If you are seeking out an excellent RMT then you will definitely like Alberta Momentum Massage. -

RMTs that know when to lean into the knots and when to be gentle as well as when to chat and when to let the silence be.
Beautiful location.
Peaceful space.
Reasonable price.
Very nice peeps.
Our RMTs are Volya and Amanda, hubby and I think they are fantastic. Daniel at the front desk is very nice to chat with if you arrive early for your appointment.
Online booking, too....but evening and weekend spots can be hard to come-by unless you can plan ahead. Maybe that isn't a bad thing - you shouldn't wait until you are in agony before booking a massage - it should be part of your regular routine. See your dentist and see your RMT, only more often and leaving much happier. -

Great place. Volya is excellent. She makes sure you're comfortable and that the amount of pressure is just right. I'm a giant pile of knots, and although I didn't leave cured, I was feeling much better. She also gave me some things I could do at home to help with the worst of my knots. (The worst one is gone now!)
The atmosphere here is both relaxing and professional. You can book appointments online through their website, and I believe they've hired a number of new staff to keep up with demand. Book ahead.Listed in: Mmmassage...

I've been to a few massage therapy clinics in the city, and this is by far my favourite! What attracted me first was the convenience - booking appointments online and the extended hours are fantastic services! The fact that I ended up with a friendly, conscientious RMT (Michele) is a bonus.

The best massage ever! I am someone who will visit many practitioners before I find one that suits my needs. At Alberta Momentum they listen to your concerns and your needs and go from there.
I feel healed and refreshed after my appointment! You should go! -

Went for a massage a couple days ago and Volya was wonderful. We had a discussion beforehand about pressure and trouble areas and what I was hoping to get from the massage. She's got a lot of power for being so slight and she kept checking throughout the massage to make sure the pressure was ok. It was very relaxing and soothing, and she gave me tips after on how to relieve some tension in between appts. I'm a plus-size girl but she made me feel very comfortable and there was no awkwardness, she was very professional and respected my modesty. I will definitely be booking with her again.

Review from Daniel M.
After finding myself in Edmonton for a few days, and with muscles knotted like wet rope, a friend of mine referred me to Alberta Momentum, and am I ever happy she did! The service was extremely friendly and professional, but most importantly, the massage left my body feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated.
I was visiting from the US and didn't realize how comprehensive most employee benefits are in Canada. Volya (the massage therapist) explained to me how many Canadians have coverage for massages in their benefits, so many of her clients barely pay a thing for her services. Pretty cool! I happily payed though, and will definitely be returning on my next visit. The 90 minute massage is worth every cent.
Highly recommended! -

Ok well I wouldn't say it's quite a 5 but it's pretty high up there. I decided to go on the recommendation of the Yelp crew. I know they said try Volya or someone else they recommended. But no one said they tried Michelle. Of course I looked up all the people's locations and being the homer that I am, she was from the T-Dot. So you knew it was over. ;)
What I found interesting was on the questionnaire they gave you a choice of chatty, not so much or quiet. Ya not the exact wording but you catch my drift.
While she gave me a massage we talked plenty but I felt relaxed. I knew I had some kinks to work out since I hadn't gone for a massage since December. I got to ask her some questions regarding massage techniques, the choice of oils, and how often to really go for massages. I think she was the most comfortable RMT I have ever received a massage from. Since we talked a lot, I think the next time it will be much quieter. Who knows?
I guess I was kind of put off though by being asked if I can book another appointment right away. I was relaxed so I didn't want to be pushed into another one right away. So that's where the one less star comes from. -

My favourite place for massage therapy. Volya has helped me with simple soreness, when I fell and hurt my back and also when I just want to relax. Volya is a true caregiver, that is, she is always asking me how things are going, how I'm feeling, etc, taking all of that information in so she can provide a personalized approach to help me feel better. I can't wait until my next appointment!
