Review from Peter R.
I can't believe this will be the first review for this AKIN location. This is the second location in Chicago that opened almost a year ago. The original location is in University Village on S. Halsted by UIC.
This place is not just for "sneakerheads" and hipsters. If you are looking to cop some nice kicks or exclusives then this is a definite spot to hit up. They also have original tees and fitteds that are mighty nice.
I don't buy sneaks with as much frequency as I used to, but this is one place I would go cop a pair. They carry hard to find brands like KIKS TYO and have the Jordan releases.
Chicago is well represented in the shoe game with this store. Big Ups to AKIN North. -
Review from Alan A.
Rancho Cucamonga, CA
As a sneakerhead this is a nice place to pick up shoes. The layout is very clean and the design of the place is awesome. They also hold cool "sneaker release parties" where instead of waiting in a line, you chill with friends until it's midnight and sneakers are finally released. I knock off two points because their workers can be pr*cks. They are generally uninterested and one time during a sneaker release party, one of their workers blew me off after he told me he didn't have my size and "pretended" that I wasn't there and couldn't hear me! So unless you're "cool" with the people there don't expect the best service but you'll still be visiting a legit sneaker shop!
