*To the tune of Fresh Prince of Bel Air*
In Whitehorse Yukon born and raised
Out in the woods is where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin a hockey puck outside of school
When a local guy
Who was up to some good
Started up a Northern Airline in my neighbourhood
I got on one little flight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're flyin solo third class, are you prepared?'
I whistled for a cab and when it came near
I realized I was nine and I had no fear
If anything I can say this kid is rare
But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'I'm off in the air'
I pulled up to my Aunts house bout 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes see ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally gone
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Yukon
*Epilogue* Air North is still one of the only airlines in Canada that offer free food during its flights! WORD.Listed in: Adventures in the Great White…, Fly like an Eagle

Review from David W.
While I did not note anything exceptional about the service of Air North, I am eternally thankful that they offer service at -50 C (hallelujah) when Air Canada stops flying for "safety reasons".
I enjoyed my time in Whitehorse immensely, but looking over at the other stranded passengers who fatefully chose the other airline, it made us appreciate leaving mid-February all that much more. Naturally there's always that moment of hesitation when you pause and ask yourself perhaps there's some sort of reasonable explanation for not flying at significant sub-zero temperatures...
You have to hand it to these bush companies that start with a single one prop Cessna and grow into one of the leading 'North-North-West' flyers.
Founded in 1977 the company flies to 8 destinations in BC, Alberta, NWT, Yukon, and Alaska. With five 737's (two 737-200's) they offer everything you would expect from a large modern commercial flight company like Westjet... except I think Crystal said they still feed you.
Interestingly, or not, they handle all the ground operations for American Airlines at Vancouver International so at least you know they've gone their act together.
