I have been a client of Veronica for over 10 years and she is an amazing aesthetician. I have had many different services from her (waxing, facials, eyelash tinting, etc.) and the result is always flawless. In addition, her technical skill, professional demeanor and warm, winning personality make every procedure a pleasure. She is a true perfectionist and seems to care about the results, particularly with facials and eyebrow shaping, even more than I do! Thanks to Veronica I can never leave the Bay Area.

Yelpers, I was right to trust you about Veronica.
I thought I had genetically unfortunate eyebrows until she worked her magic. The graceful arches she created really changed the whole look of my face in the most flattering way. Veronica is an artist, and on top of that she loves what she does and welcomes you with a warm, friendly personality.
Her services are very reasonably priced. I liked her cozy treatment space filled with the scent of organic lavender oil, with a garden balcony outside the window. -

Wow is all I can say. I left her office with a glow that I hadn't seen in years...and it's still there. Her facial was the best I've ever had and the products she used really brightened up my dull skin.
I typically get microderms somewhere else but was given a gift certificate from my boss for a facial. I am now a devoted Veronica fan. She is a gifted aesthetician who knows her stuff! My husband commented a week after my facial that my skin still looks amazing. Thank you Veronica for working your magic! I'll be back! -

If you looked at my eyebrows now you would never know that they were a female version of my brother's furry oddly pointed brows.
Veronica is really an expert in cleaning up and shaping brows. She spends a considerable amount of time making sure everything is shaped right, even, and clean. I never feel rushed. The first time she worked on me I spent a lot of time at home in front of the mirror so happy with how my brows looked.
She has also helped me keep my persnickety skin in check. I was already using Jan Marini products but just picking stuff off the internet based on reviews. She fine-tuned my skin regimen and now I have the best skin I have ever had. She is not pushy about product either and gives me advice on what to prioritize, which I really appreciate because I don't have a lot of $ to spend.
I am pleased I spent time poring over yelp and ending up as a client because aside from being great at what she does she is a really nice lady and I look forward to my monthly appointment. -

I found MY aesthetician to perfect my eyebrows!
Unfortunately, I was born with my Italian Grandmother's eyebrows. Bushy, thick, and out of control. I need an aesthetician to groom them at least once every 3 weeks.
I bet your thinking WHOA freaky brows - Frida Kahlo in the house. Ummm...yeah, no comment.
Anyways, I have been all over this city searching for someone who is
not so painful, close to home, and a perfectionist. I found Veronica. I hesitate greatly to share her with you. But, she deserves the praise.
She is extremely gentle. Let's just say I manage to doze off as she waxes and manicures my brows to plucked perfection.
She is the ultra-perfectionist! You won't walk out of her office with a single stray hair.
She gives the most amazing facials. I've tried the Deep Pore Cleansing Facial ($95) twice. Her calming energy relaxes me into a hazy state of bliss as she cleanses and exfoliates. My face always feels fresh and renewed.
Overall: Energetic aesthetician = Excellent eyebrow shaping, invigorating facials, and reasonable prices for quality service. -

When people compliment me on my skin, I lie and tell them its from my beer habit. But in reality, I've been seeing Veronica since 1999 for all my beautifying needs. I even followed her from her original location in the Lower Haight all the way to Sacramento Street!
Her facials are incredible, and I walk out with such a glow it seems that I have full makeup on when in fact, it was her deft hands and amazing products that leave my clean skin looking so dewy. And her attention to detail when it comes to my brows makes me use my one-eyebrow-raised look ever so much more. -

I have to say, I had never had a facial before coming to Veronica. I had a few failed attempts at waxing in local jack-of-all-trades salons. You know the type, they cut hair, do nails, wax, tan, facials, you name it.
Finally a glowing friend recommended me to Veronica. I walked in, terrified. She quickly put me at ease, with soft lighting, relaxing music, a quietly bubbling fountain. She left the room while I put on a soft robe and climbed into a well designed bed (support at the knees, gentle heating pad underneath).
I have been going to her every month or two since and I always look forward to it. She is very hygienic, intelligent, and working hard to keep developing the business to the next level. I've had some great talks with her, but she can also tell when I don't want to talk and just want to enjoy the pleasure of an hour long facial!
Even the terror of waxing (brow, lip, bikini) seems like nothing when you have the soothing atmosphere of Veronica's suite, and a facial to look forward to!
Lastly, she is so flexible and accommodating. I often don't know my schedule until a week in advance, and she will squeeze me in in the morning or at night.
I would recommend Veronica to anyone needing waxing or skin care, ESPECIALLY novices who are afraid. She is so confident and comfortable with what she does. -

I can't say enough good things about Veronica. I'm new to writing reviews on Yelp... but I've been going to Veronica for 6 YEARS. That's a happy customer. Her lash brow and tints are fantastic and her facials are amazing. She gives you this wonderful face massage when you get a facial that leaves me so relaxed and happy. Veronica is the best!

Ok. I am not one to beat a dead horse, but this time I have to. It just doesn't get any better. If you live anywhere in the greater United States--you have no excuse to go anywhere else. Veronica is the best. No doubt in my mind.
My mom is visiting and after recently enduring a horrific round of chemotherapy--she needed a little pick me up. Veronica did an amazing waxing job on her newly sprouted unsightly hairs and gave her some beautiful tinted eyebrows. She spent (as usual) WAY beyond the amount of time expected to be sure everything was plucked, smoothed and beautified. She even texted me this morning to be sure all was great. This woman is amazing! Heart of gold and wax of a magician.

I have been going to Veronica for over a year and love her work! I moved to SF from NY with overly waxed eyebrows and no idea how to reshape them. Veronica worked with me and the shape of my face to get the eyebrows of my dreams! Plus, after each visit she explained her process and where I should let them grow in between visits.
I originally set out to get "Salma Hayek eyebrows", but within 6 months I surpassed hers--sorry, Salma. Plus, I recently went out for a first date and halfway through it my date said "I can't stop looking at your eyes". I wasn't wearing much eye makeup, but had just had my eyebrows waxed by Veronica that afternoon--I knew she had worked her magic yet again! I'm a customer for life. -

Veronica is the best.
I met her for the first time after reading so many rave reviews and she is great.
With age, I learned that its possible to grow skin allergies. Thus, was the main reason why I saw a dermatologist and Veronica for diagnosis and treatment.
Not only is Veronica extremely nice and knowledgeable but she makes you feel right at home. I went in for my first back facial ever and she made it look wonderful. She wasn't the type to push products on you either. She knew that I was under the care of a dermatologist and just gave me some home tips and tricks of how else to help my skin look its best. And even mentioned going back to using Dove (for Sensitive Skin) to help clear up any possible minor irritation from other bath products I had been using. So going back to basics should help, and has helped!
I see her again this Friday, after 4 weeks. I'm excited to show her that the combination of her treatments and skin care advice, along with my dermatological topical will show huge improvements.
Her office is also the place where she performs her treatments on you. Its small, extremely clean, and has a nice view and airiness to it since she's decorated the fire escape with nice foliage. So when the sun shines into the room, its a beautiful sight - and not to mention, private.
After reading the other reviews, I just might have to see her for brow waxing and other skin care needs! -

If I could, I would give Veronica 10 STARS. I HIGHLY recommend her for facials, waxing and eyelash-tinting. Read my story if you'd like to know why:
I came to Aesthetics by Veronica on a recommendation from a coworker who has been going to Veronica for over 10 years. I had been seeing another esthetician who gave me horrible advice about an acne flare-up. She advised that I stop using the acne cream my dermatologist had prescribed and just get facials from her every 3 weeks. After 4 sessions, my acne was so bad it started to affect my social life. I was miserable. I had an really important wedding coming up in 2 weeks when I first went to Veronica. She assured me that she could help clear up my skin in 2 weeks. I was very skeptical - but of course wanted to be hopeful. I know we've been trained to be wary of quick-fixes and being sold expensive products with no guarantee that they're going to work. And for good reason - they often aren't as good as they are purported to be. So I was so grateful when Veronica gave me a few samples of Jan Marini's skin care line to try before buying: a face wash for day, one for night, bio-clear treatment for the acne and an anti-inflammatory cream. These products were UNBELIEVABLE. The best products I have ever used. In two weeks my skin looked good enough that I felt confident to attend this event without hiding behind my hair or avoiding people! I highly recommend Jan Marini's products because they really work. They are are amazing. Even more amazing is Veronica's kindness, compassion, professionalism and skill. She is one of - if not the - best practitioner I have ever seen. -

I found Veronica some years ago after trying a few different eyelash-tinting services--all of which were disappointing and sometimes painful. Putting chemicals near your eyes is tricky business and should not be attempted carelessly!
Veronica outshined them all with her professionalism and meticulous care, and I've been a loyal client ever since. Her space is serene, her table is comfy and heated, her hands are gentle, and she takes great care to provide safe, pleasant service. I always enjoy my appointments and have never had any of the problems that can occur with eyelash tinting. Her facials are a magical experience, too! -

I went there for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. Veronica tailors the facial to what your skin needs and really gives you great advice/suggestions. She doesn't try to force you to buy her products as she is not into wasting the products you already have. So she'll try to work with your products. She also gave me samples that I could try before making the investment in any of her products.
I can't wait to go back! -

I have been going to Veronica for so many years, I actually can't remember since when and nothing compares to her facials. I have had facials as gifts from people but Veronica has to be the best. Her new set-up on Sacramento St. is so relaxed and inviting, but still professional.
Her service is outstanding, she's attentive and her products rock. All my friends say I don't even have pores! Need I say more. -

I received the deep pore cleansing facial this past weekend & absolutely loved it! I've been going to her for my eyebrows for about 4 months now, but finally decided to give her facials a try. The technique & Jan Marini products she used left my skin visibly clearer & smoother.
I had been going to another esthetician for years who would leave me with wounds from extractions I prayed would not scar. With Veronica, she took me step by step through her process & explained to me the importance of a balanced skin care regimen. Veronica is amazing at what she does. After sitting in her chair for one hour and experiencing the most invigorating facial, you will walk out looking and feeling like a million bucks. One of my favorite treats is her excellent eyebrow shaping--it is painless and relaxing. She is amazing and you should check her out.

I've always had trouble with my skin; you think you're going to grow out of it after high school, but unfortunately that doesn't happen for everyone! But a visit to Veronica is like a complete fresh start. My skin is always so much better after I've seen her, and overall it's clearer since I've been getting facials from her, since way back when.
Like some of the other reviewers, I've been seeing Veronica since the Maire Rua Body days. I'd follow her anywhere, because she is just that wonderful, but her new place is fabulous: bright, clean, comfortable, and sunny (or, as sunny as you'll get in SF).
Oh, and don't even get me started on the eyebrows. People have literally stopped me on the street to ask who does mine, and once my dentist even paused in the middle of an exam to ask about them! Also, Veronica will always squeeze me in for a quick eyebrow job at the last minute, whenever I realize out of nowhere that I can't let them go another day. -

I have been a loyal client of Veronica's since 1999. Through the years my skin has gone through many phases. She is always attentive to my needs, customizing my facials for exactly what is happening on my face at that time. If I'm extra dry from the caustic effects of air travel, she amps up the moisturizing during my facials. When my T-zone is volcanic because I have been drinking and not-sleeping like a 23 year old she uses balancing products to try to calm the area down. What makes Veronica stand out is that she learns your face and really takes an interest in how to make your complexion as healthy as it can be.

I started seeing Veronica when she worked out of a salon in the Lower Haight. Even back then, she managed to transform a small, plain space into a sanctuary of warmth and relaxation. On her own, she found a teriffic space - calm and clean. Veronica is a master with her hands, be it during a fabulous deep cleansing but relaxing facial or as she maneuvers through waxing services. Friendly, pleasant, diligent and quick, Veronica is a fantastic esthetician and delightful person.

Veronica is just amazing at what she does! Simple as that! I started seeing her for treatments about a year ago, and the transformation in my skin is unbelievable. Its just healthy and clear, and is continually improving. Her new location in Laurel Heights is fabulous too. So serene and calming - I've fallen asleep numerous times on her table!
Veronica is highly knowledgeable and professional, along with being a really great person. She explains everything so well, that her overall approach to skincare makes perfect sense. The Jan Marini line she carries is super stuff.

Veronica is experienced, knowledgeable, genuine, wholistic, and reasonably priced; everything you could want in an aesthetician. I highly recommend her for all aspects of skin care and waxing. Her combination of getting results and being a good person make her very unique. I started going to her eight years ago, tried to go elsewhere once, but have come back because it doesn't get any better than this. I even travel from the east bay across the city now because I trust her so much.

Just like the other Yelpers on here, I didn't really want to write a review for Veronica since I'd rather keep her a secret! I've been going to her for a few years for eyebrow and bikini waxing and she's just the best. I love to recommend her to my friends who are scared to get waxed, because her technique is as low-pain as I can imagine waxing can be. She's also extremely accommodating and now plucks my brows for me since I use medication on my face. I love her services and love to chat and catch up with her too. She is truly a gem!

So far the best eyebrow specialist Ive'd had. After investing a good amount of time on YELP reviews, I gave her a try. Her price is reasonable compared to all those fancy Brow bar. Very comfortable, personalized and most importantly HONEST. She starts with a mini consultation and takes her time, waxing minimally. I can tell that she is very patient answering all my questions. She was able to point out all my concerns and tries to correct all the mistakes that the previous people did. Gone are the days that I will get my brow wax from those nail shops who butchered my brow. She's my fairy-god-brow-mother. Make sure to come early, parking is a bit challenging.

I have big thick eyebrows and have never had anyone shape them for fear of getting an overly *dramatic* look. Yelp reviewers are right, Veronica did not disappoint! She squeezed me in with a same day appointment and was very personable and prompt--completely professional. She even indulged my chatty mood! Needless to say the brows look fab and the whole process was a real pleasure. Her office is totally across the city from where I live, but nonetheless, I'll be back for more pampering soon! A friend of mine who has beautiful skin recommended Veronica to me. After several months of procrastination, I decided to make an appointment and I was glad I did. She is definitely problem solving. When I walked in her place, my skin had been so irritated from the many products I had been using, all which claimed to treat sensitive skin. My skin is dry, super sensitive and I have mild rosacea to (especially in the winter months) and she was able to whip me back into shape with her exclusive Jan Marini line. It's the only line she carries and she backs it up 100%. It is far the best I line I have used to date. As you age, what your skin needs changes, and it needs the right combination of products that go along with the change. She adjusted products for my skin accordingly. She is not a product pusher and she will give you samples to try at home before committing to anything, unlike other places. I am so happy I met her and I've already booked an appointment to see her again within the month. Although, I don't have any issues with acne, my skin does need her TLC that I can't treat at home. She is also reasonably priced. I highly recommend her.

I've been seeing Veronica for over six months now and I have to say, she does miracles! I had been trying to grow my brows out for over a year after over plucking them and was having a horrible time at it, but she's shaped them amazingly and they look SO much better! I'm actually a bit proud of them now. She is so friendly and kind and I can't believe she doesn't charge more money because I would gladly pay more for her services. If you're looking for someone to help you with your eyebrows she's your girl!

I began seeing Veronica when I was 19 and living in the Lower Haight with my dad during the summer, now 10 years later I still go to her for everything involving the skin! I have received countless comments on my brows over the years because of her. She has helped me as my skin problems have changed from season to season, year to year; from breakouts to wrinkles - she has a potion and a facial that will make you feel fabulous! She makes waxing as painless as possible, in a wonderful atmosphere. In fact, it is like a mini spa vacation every time I go to get my brows done! I could not recommend her more.

"I'm never going to be able to find the perfect esthetician in this city".....oh yes, that use to be what I would say. Now its more along the lines of "FINALLY!" with big smiles! Moving to SF from Boston, I almost cried the last day leaving my esthetician of 7 years....I didn't know what I was going to do. Eight months later of looking and looking I found someone just as wonderful.....thank you Veronica! Her space is very clean and cozy. Her expertise is a ten! I am just so happy I have found her! If you are looking for that perfect brow wax, try Veronica, you won't go anywhere else!
