HighEnd Limousine, doing business as Aerocar, are a relatively new provider to and from Vancouver (YVR) Intl Airport. They also offer other transportation solutions within the city, however my review is directed towards the Aerocar service.
I have been using it as a test trial going to and from YVR, both late departures/arrivals. Compared to a taxi which usually runs 28$ from Yaletown to the Airport, their rate of 43$ plus Tax is not too terrible, in the end however you still pay double than the cab fare.
Do I need a fancy schmenzy ride for 25 minutes? Probably not. But do I want to take the Toyata Prius aka Car aka Taxi apart to fit myself and my Rimowa XL luggage in there? Definitely not! Despite I can't stand it when people who drive are talking on the phone or listen to loud, exotic music. Both of which cabs are notorious for. (Eek!) So I usually rather take the Canada Line or in this case (as it was a leisure trip) Aerocar.
The service was very reliable, the Sedan arrived ~5 Minutes early and the driver was very friendly, We reached the Airport in a breeze with a good feeling of comfort and in happy expectation of the trip. On the return the car was ready, warm and with the same friendly service. Satisfied!
If you don't mind spending a few $ extra then this service is absolutely for you.

* New name, new company, almost the exact same service! *
Old reliable LimoJet (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) lost the contract at YVR and raised its prices by almost doubling them for a transfer to the airport. So I was searching around and found out HighEnd took over the contract.
I wasn't impressed when calling for a reservations, as apparently their dispatch system just isn't working well yet (being the new exclusive YVR provider I guess overwhelmed them).
But the car turned up a bit early as LimoJet always did, and got me to the airport in the same comfortable way.
Speaking with the driver it sounds like most of the old LimoJet drivers have switched over to the new company as well. So it was a pretty seamless and painless transfer for me as a customer too.
So there is a new $39 provider from downtown to the airport. Considering a taxi normally runs someplace between $25-$32 depending on traffic, this is a great deal:
- They are on time, instead of the potentially missed taxi connection if the taxi doesn't feel like showing up on a busy day, or just ignores a pre-booking, or has a 30 minute hold to connect on the phone.
- The car is a nice and comfortable sedan, instead of a ratty taxi.
The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 for now is the booking just isn't as efficient. So far it doesn't seem possible to book on their website like you could with LimoJet, and dispatch on the phone was a bit confused. I hope they work out these bugs soon, as they are now the primary game in town!Listed in: Travel is the spice of life

From the time I called late at night to reserve my early morning car, I knew I would become a fan. The woman who took my reservation was talkative, kind and sympathetic to my early bird time. My car was waiting in the right spot (not like most taxis) and a real person (the driver) phoned me when I was a minute late. He helped me with my bag and insisted on opening and closing the door for me. Yes! Chivalry lives in a few little spaces...
Sure, he was a bit more talkative than I could handle at the crack of dawn and it was pricier than a cab, ($43 + tax to the airport), but being on time and jovial at 5:30 am makes this worth the splurge.

Established in 2009
Aerocar Service was formed in 2009, when our parent company was awareded the contract at the Vancouver International Airport. Our parent company, Highend Limousine, rebranded the Aerocar division of the company to specialize in airport service.
At YVR we are the exlusive provider of curbside service and we also offer a full Meet and Greet Service for those who prefer to be met inside the terminal.
Meet the Manager: Angela M.
Angela Mackinnon completed her education at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Entrepreneural Leadership and a Diploma in Marketing Management.
After completing her education, Ms. Mackinnon entered the transportation industry with Highend Limousine DBA Aerocar Service. To date, she has been in the transportation industry for almost three (3) years. In this time, she has assisted the company in it's growth from the 8 car fleet in 2009 to the 60+ vehicles in operation today - becoming one of the largest fleets in the Province of British Columbia.
Ms. Mackinnon has worked with various organizations such as Suburu Canada, VANOC and Fitness World and uses the skills and experience obtained from her combination of education and experience to manage the Marketing and Business Development Activities of Aerocar Service.
