This company was recommended to me by a friend who looks after high end properties. She says that this is the only company she will call to clean her clients' houses. I gave this company a call plus a few others whose reviews I had read of. Aero was the only company to bother calling me back!
I wasn't sure if they would be interested in cleaning my apartment--it seems like such a small job compared to the houses that they would clean for my friend's properties, but they were interested in my business. I have about 600 sq. feet of wall-to-wall wool carpet.
The guy came on time (some reviews I had read said that they had experience no-shows with other companies!) and was professional. He gave me a discount because I had moved the furniture myself. I guess that they will move the furniture for you or clean around the furniture if you can't do it yourself.
I didn't think of it, but next time, I will get them to clean my sofa and chairs too at the same time.
And when the guy left, he gave me a small bottle of spot remover and instructions! -

They price their service by the accessible square foot (i.e., they don't count the square feet under the bed, for instance). A little pricey: Their minimum cost is $225 with ScotchGuarding ($150 without).
The fellow who came in to do my carpets was friendly enough (why don't carpet-cleaning people remove their shoes when they do work?) but he didn't move any of the small items out of the way. For instance, I had a very light, small bedside lamp. He just cleaned around it. I didn't notice until after he'd emptied his tank and taken things apart. I kind of wish he'd have asked me to look at the work BEFORE he'd shut everything down. At this point he said it was too late, he couldn't clean that area because it would make him late to the next appointment.
He also didn't have the ScotchGuard I'd asked for on hand (he said he'd given his supply to a colleague earlier in the day). So it required a second trip back to ScotchGuard the place. He also, at my request, cleaned the carpet under the items he didn't move.
He did, for the record, immediately clean up some fresh cat barf, which was probably outside of what he needed to.
I'll probably find another vendor for carpet cleaning in the future.
