I work right around the corner from this money vacuum. I remember going there on a lunch break and then I saw the egregious prices of Adrienne's pizza. Adrienne what do you have to say about this, you money monger? Shaaaame!

This pizza is not lunch break friendly. Lunch is meant to be $10 or less. It is usually meant to be brought from my kitchen and very cheap. As in a hard boiled egg, prepackaged oatmeal, carrots, an apple, and a greek yogurt. That's cheap breakfast and lunch. This is not. So I left. Besides, who wants to eat expensive empty carbs anyway. I am totally justified in my decision. Financially sound and fit.

    GLORY BE TO GOD!!!

My office was throwing a meeting "pizza party" for some organization that talks about the welfare of the world n stuff like that you know? Saving the world. Captain Planet type of sh** Even better? They ordered way too much pizza.

It was the best cold slice of Sicilian cheese pizza I ever had tasted yummo mmmm yes.

Thank you corporate expense card, and a special thank you to those of you that I work with who help save the world, and my wallet.

Friday night - recovering from work - pizza urge.  10pm prowl.  Someone recommends Adrienne's.

I get a pizza, salad and a glass of apple juice.  Bill?  $32.  THIRTY TWO DOLLARS for mediocre pizza that came lukewarm and soggy in the middle.  I can't believe I got snookered by another trendy feeding trough of mediocrity!  Shame on me.  $32 for pizza for one...oy yoi yoi.  I won't be back.

Adrienne's makes awesome pizza!  Taste really good.  Must dine in, don't take out.  Just a bit pricey, but I'll still come back once in a while.

If you are going for lunch on weekdays, better get there by 12 noon sharp to avoid waiting in line.  One time we got there at 12:10 and it was completely full, and the next time we got there at 11:55 and we got seated promptly, and witnessed the place got filled up in just a few minutes.

Friendly and efficient staff.  Saturday night at 8 pm, place was pretty packed. I didn't think the pizza was anything special to me.  The crust was too thick for my liking.  I think the best one we had was the pepperoni pizza.  Don't think I'll be coming back.

Great pizza in a great area.  Stone street is so charming and so new york - I love the tables they put out with a tent over it - and Adrienne's is delicious NY pizza.  If you're in the area, it's a great spot to check out.

the pizza is great here! fresh toppings , Sicilian thin crust is the way to go. Its fairly expensive for pizza but its located on stone st. with outdoor seating on a cobble stone road during the spring and summer.

This place is located on Stone Street, which happens to be my favorite street in FIDI. It's the most charming street IMHO in FIDI.

I went with my Frugal Gourmet meetup group a while ago. We were seated towards the back on one of the counter height tables. I didn't find it that comfortable.

My favorite thing at Adrienne's was the antipasti that our table shared. I love love love antipasti. I couldn't even tell you what was on it because it was a mix of all these delicious things. I do remember cauliflower and asparagus with a vinegar taste. I can just have the large antipasti by myself as a meal. I actually prefer the antipasti over the pizza here....speaking of.......

You can't get pizza by the slice here so this place caters to groups. They only have one type of pizza, square pie. The pizza crust is not as crunchy as I would have liked it. It was okay and a bit on the expensive side. The pizza didn't WOW me.

I didn't notice til later that they had other food there such as baked pastas and salads. The group ordered for me so I didn't really pay attention to the menu until later. Still doesn't impress me. The only option here for someone who is lactose intolerant would be the salads and antipasti if you tell the waitress that someone on the table has allergies to dairy. Not sure if they would listen to you though. I always have a problem with my lactose intolerance. They definitely don't have vegan cheese here...non dairy cheese.

It's really LOUD and really CROWDED in Adrienne's ALL THE TIME. It was pretty difficult to have a conversation. There is a full bar also in Adrienne's.

It was okay. Would I run back to here.....not really but it was okay. I guess if I was on this block and we were hungry and it was right in front of me...maybe.

Adrienne's Pizza Bar is one of several places I've visited multiple times, only to realize I left my camera at home. One recent weekend, I finally remembered to bring my camera with me on this pizza run.   Adrienne's Pizza Bar is located on a busy, cobble-stone lined stretch called Stone Street, in the Financial District.  On warm summer nights, the bars and restaurants on Stone street open their doors and after-work crowds take over the tables and benches that line the street.  Now that it's chilly, the after-work crowd has thinned; however, Adrienne's still serves its delicious pizza.

The first thing you'll notice about the pizza is that it's not your typical pie - yep, it's rectangle pizza, whee!  Called the "Old Fashioned" style, this pizza is a welcome canvas for a variety of toppings on the menu.  This time we went with sausage and mushrooms, a classic combination.  The pie was served bubbling hot, with ooey gooey cheese and copious toppings.  Although I was dining with only one other buddy that day, we put this pie away pronto.   If finishing a pizza is wrong, I don't want to be right.  Especially when Adrienne's is concerned. Ha!

Mouthwatering pizza in a trendy setting.

Food is 3 stars.  Service is 1.  The rest of this review may not be the most helpful in deciding whether or not you should eat here, but I feel it raises critical moral questions that need to be considered.

I ordered the 10" Round Barese Pizza which is described as having "sausage, fennel, and onions"

My pizza had sausage and onion on it.  It did not have fennel.

I asked.  They told me *the sausage is made with fennel*.  Sausage is made with many ingredients - Emeril lists 11 in his recipe - but when you are reading a list of toppings on a pizza, you do not expect to see sub-ingredients of an individual topping also listed.  For example, you would not expect the description to say, "sausage, fennel, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, cayenne, anise, parsley, red wine and onion."  I dare say that would be absurd.

The person I spoke with insisted that the menu description was accurate, even in the face of my clearly flawless logic.  We had quite the unpleasant discussion, and here I hadn't even asked for anything other than acknowledgement.  I certainly wasn't expecting a free meal over this, but for him it was more important to win an argument with a customer.  That is a topic for another day.

The bottom line is the Barese Pizza is deceptively described as having three ingredients when, in fact, it has only two. And as we all know, the number of ingredients on a pizza is almost always a key driver of how much a restaurant charges for a pizza.  So it is almost assuredly intentionally deceptive, and that should not be okay with any of us, my friends.

Mariah Carey can never say no to bagels and I can never pass on pizza.

Adrienne's Pizza Bar is a popular spot for drinks and gourmet pizza. The restaurant is dimly lit and cozy as a result. No wonder it's always busy (lunch, happy hour, dinner, you name it!).

When I come to Adrienne's, it's about the fresh toppings and coming with a fun group of people. Do everyone a favor and order anything but a plain pizza pie. No personal pans or individual slices because SHARING IS CARING SO GET FUNKY WITH IT -- DIY a pizza pie (which is rectangular instead of circular here) with your friends and even accommodate the vegetarian in the group.

Just minus one star for the slow slipshod service.

Sorry... I was completely appalled to see the bartender grabbing wine glasses are "pre-poured" and standing hidden under the counter next to the wall, and behind empty bottles.  The bartender served them regardless if I said I wanted a Pinot or a Cab. I deliberately tasted both and they were exactly the same,  So as a test, I asked for wine straight from the bottle: The bartender made as if confused by question.  Turns out: the bottles listed on the menu are all empty.  The glasses are pre-filled for a reason, obviously and to me, that reason  is extremely unhealthy and unethical.  As I left,  I saw a woman sharing her spagghetti and meat-sauce with her children. After witnessing what I just did about their wine, I found myself wondering how her meat sauce was prepared and what the cooks were using..  The thought made me want to throw up.

I'm sure if that restaurant is doing it that the neighbours are possibly  just as questionable.  For this reason, i now stick to places like Club 7eventy 5ive, Fika, and restaurants that are ueber-clean and clearly do not seek to hire the cheapest kind of staff they can find..

My boyfriend and I ended up here for dinner on a Saturday night after our other plans fell through.

It was pretty crowded, and we had a little trouble finding a host/hostess to put our names in with. They told us it would be about 10 minutes, but we were actually seated right away. A little noisy, but not bad. Cute decor. Lots of couples on date nights, but also lots of small groups. I think it is also possible to sit outside out back, but we sat inside.

Portion size was fine. We split the arugula salad and an old fashioned pizza with extra garlic. We are past that awkward stage of the relationship where you don't want to look like a fatass in front of your SO, but we still had 4/10 pizza slices left over. Which are currently toasting and will soon be eaten for brunch :)

The food was SO good! I was honestly not expecting it; we were just looking for the closest pizza place with the highest rating. And boy did we find it! The arugula salad was a perfect balance of flavors, good dressing in a good quantity - it wasn't soaked in the stuff. The pizza was awesome, too. I thought that their sauce had just the right amount of acidic tomato flavor, without a whole lot of sugar - just minimal sweetness for balance. I could tell the cheese was of a good quality, and the crust was fine, too. My favorite part was how they spread the cheese out more than the sauce, causing the crispy crusts to be sprinkled with cheese like little cheese straws or crackers or something. Or a cheese bagel....

Our drinks were fine; not cheap, but not exorbitant. I wasn't horribly impressed with the house white, but hey - it's not supposed to be special. that's why it's the HOUSE white.

Service was great. The waitress was helpful and attentive, but not pushy.  Really friendly.

Great for a date, or if you're out with friends -- when I lived in the area it was a definitely go to -- and anytime I'm back, I feel like I would have a win suggesting this with friends.

I don't know why people in my firm keep ordering pizza from this place. The stuff is salty, the toppings are not very generous, the combinations unadventurous and boring, the dough is too thick (for my taste at least) and it's kinda expensive.

The old fashioned pie is great to split with a group. But not too big of a group, because then you might spend your whole lunch hour waiting for a table. The warmer months are fun for people-watching on Stone St. but it's otherwise nice to get cozy and warm inside with pizza and beer.

They also make a mean tomato pie for the lactose intolerant in your life.

Yummy. I live in the neighborhood and enjoy Adrienne's. It is a little on the loud side but the salads are generously portioned and delicious, and the pizza menu accommodates vegans. This restaurant isn't what I'd call destination dining, but if you live in the area or happen to be in the Financail District it's worth a try.

Best pizza in FiDi hands down. Not traditional slices, this is a gourmet $$ pizza, but it's really deeeeeelish.

The proscuitto & arugula pizza is my personal fave, but I have yet to try a variation here that disappoints. I also thoroughly enjoy their bread - it's perfection.

The only thing that's keeping me from giving this stone street gem a 5, is the rude/nasty/unpleasant/unaccomodating staff. And also, FYI, never order takeout, it's only good when you eat it there.

Bonus: in the summer, stone street is lovely & you can eat outside on the cobblestone streets. It feels very Parisian, and very exclusively local. A safe haven from tourism, if you will.

In New York City pizza is what BBQ is to my beautiful state of Texas, king!

Now I've had my fair share of pizza in NYC, from the cheap 99 cent cheese slice on the street corner to the the infamous Grimaldi's with it's line of 2 blocks and of course Lombardi's, the first pizzeria in NYC.

I would say Adrienne's definitely falls on the top half of that spectrum. If you're in the FiDi area this is the best pizza hands down! The old fashioned square pizza is made fresh to order, with generous amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. We had ours with pepperoni on all of it, and half with extra cheese while the other half with hot peppers. It was delectable and was more than enough to feed 3 people with still some slices to take home!

We also enjoyed a carafe of the house red which is actually a liter (more than a bottle of wine, for those of you looking to get a little happy). It's may not be the best wine I've had, but have to admit that for a red it was surprisingly smooth, light on the palette and not very dry. I didn't come here for the wine so I can't really judge the place on that. Everything is exceptional, food, service, timing, cleanliness, etc.

My only suggestion would be to make a reservation if you plan to go after 7 or 8 pm any day as it's a pretty popular spot.

PS: Summertime is the best, you can sit outside under the warm sun with your pizza and an awesome pitcher of Sangria!

Best pizza in the Financial District if you're looking to buy a whole pie (they don't sell by the slice).  Get the 'old fashioned' square pizza.  This is the only restaurant in NYC I'd recommend going this route.  But trust me on this.

They use better ingredients than most places and you can tell.  My favorites are prosciutto and eggplant, although not together.

The dining room is decent but gets ridiculously cramped midweek.  You'll have the place to yourself on the weekend.

Harry and Peter from Ulysses and Harry's did it right when it came to tasty thin crust pizza.  They have an assortment of regular round pizzas and create your own baking sheet sized Sicilian pizza.

Opting for the fresh tomato, basil, and heavy on the garlic slices variety, I was pretty happy with the freshness of the ingredients.  The crust was a little doughy (something inherent when Greeks come up with pizza).

Prices were pretty good comparable to other artisan pizza spots.

    Not too shabby.

Adrienne's is great with a couple of caveats: dining in (either inside the restaurant or outside on Stone St. in nice weather) is way better than takeout or delivery and the pizza is what you're ordering.

Service is decent even on a busy Fri night; no need to reserve a table unless you must eat immediately upon arrival or you have a party of 5 or more. Tables turnover pretty quickly, the longest I've waited is 15 mins.

The small antipasti is a great option; big enough for 2-3 people to share with salami, sopresatta, provolone, parmesan and a variety of pickled and fresh grillled veggies plus a bruschetta piece or two and great lentil salad.

I find the large rectangular pizzas to be less consistent than the round, thin crust pizzas.  Personal favorites include the arugula and prosciutto pizza (generous amounts of meat) and the sausage, fennel and onion pizzas.  If you really want the rectangular, thicker crust there are tons of toppings to choose from.

It's casual but nice enough if you're going on a low key date.  Solid wine list and a few cocktail options with a full bar.  Desserts are good but I tend to stick to classics like the tiramisu.

I will never come back here again!

The staff and manager were so rude. We were eating outside and ordered two pizzas. While waiting I went next door to the bar and grabbed two bottles of cider. Ten minutes later someone comes out and tells us we can't drink them because we bought them at the outdoor bar next to them. (Which I found ridiculous since we were a foot away from the seating of the other bar.) Anyone who has been to Stone Street would find this ridiculous. There is no separation between the bars & restaurants. We have enjoyed drinks from the pub next door while eating pizza on different occasions with no issues.

Still, we complied and asked if we could take the pizzas to-go. She said yes. Five minutes while waiting someone else comes out and tells us to get rid of the drinks. We said we know, we are waiting for our pizzas and we would be leaving. The crazy server actually grabbed our drinks, and told us to leave. I saw another server with our pizzas boxed in hand and she told them to go back to the kitchen. She refused to sell us the pizzas over two bottles of cider! I was furious and spoke to the manager about the situation. The manager was just like his staff and totally rude. He spoke to me with a "I don't need your business swagger". He actually told me to bring my business else where! I will never come back here again!

I have never been treated like this anywhere. See my other yelp reviews they are all very positive. This place is horrible. If I could give it a "zero star and I wish it would close down rating" I would. Please take your business to any of the other great places on Stone Street.

    THE SAUCE IS THE BOSS!

Want to know what makes this place such a big deal? Without a doubt its the sauce. The old fashioned pizza is how classic pizza is done. Top it off with the pepperoni and it brings back memories of how brick oven pizza is done the right way. My wife even went so far as to surprise me with an old fashioned with pepperoni and a caesar salad delivered to my office. I have to tell you that the tears that came to my eyes were more than for any cake for any other birthday.

And how do I know for certain that the sauce is the reason for their greatness? Because I have had the misfortune of working late at work on quite a few nights, yet had the good fortune to order Adrienne's for dinner.

Some of my favorite dishes include the cheese ravioli with tomato basil sauce and the meat lasagna. These are basic staples of any corner pizza shop, but what makes these classics so right is the sauce. In the past I've also ordered other classics like the stuffed shells and the eggplant rollatini and I've never been disappointed with any of their red sauce dishes.  I don't care if pizza or these dishes are things that you can get at any other Southern Italian restaurant, all I care about is that they do this food right.  So many places make the same dishes and make them taste so ordinary. Adrienne's makes old fashioned and old-style taste like Italian food was meant to be!

Today was my last day at work for my company.  My fellow employees took me out to lunch here.  We sat outside and the food was great, but the service was absolutely horrible.  The servers pretended to ignore us when we needed something (as simple as water) and had a really bad attitude the whole time.  It was more like we were a nuisance to them than anything else.  Because of this, I will probably not recommend this place to anyone else.

This place is not that great and slightly overpriced.

It's called a pizza bar so we ordered 2 pizzas, one with prosciutto and basil with potatoes.

The potatoes made it too heavy and the combination of textures is weird to me.  Totally weird.

The second pizza as ricotta with mozzarella.  It had too much cheese flavors, and needs something salty to break it up.

The service was good at refilling my water.

As far as the food goes, yes I've had better.  Way better.

So I'm actually from Chicago and was visiting friends in NYC when they took me to Adrienne's.  I HAD to try some authentic New York pizza as the battle wages on between the midwest and east coast.  I was warned that we might have to wait about 40 minutes for a table but to my surprise and delight we were seated immediately at 8:30 on a Friday night.

The romana pizza was to DIE for.  It was so fresh, light, yet flavorful.  Something I'm not used to in Chicago with our very hearty pizzas.  Arugula and prosciutto is not something I typically think of with pizza, but it was a killer combo.  We had a huge pie and I wasn't shocked at all when we devoured it.  Our waiter was kinda and just the right amount of attentive.

Overall, I'd love to go back here the next time I'm in NYC and try some of the other pizzas!

Awesome pizza and service. They come and ask you multiple times if the food is to your liking. Try the ravioli also.

    This place rocks!

Their gnocci is some of the best I have ever had.  My gf got the baked salmon which was also delicious.  One of my new favorite places in NY.

    Oh yeah, they deliver!

We stopped here after a long day, and it was a smart stop. The street is full of cute restaurants, and Adrianne's is among the best. It's small (without outdoor seating) and service wasn't great. The food was worth it. Bruschetta was delicious, salads were good, and the pizza was really AMAZING. It took awhile, but it was huge, warm, and scrumptious. Can't wait to get back!

What a great place to review for my 200th.  Working downtown this is one of the 50 pizza places within walking distance and it has great reviews for a reason!
Being my first time here i decided to just get the basic old fashioned pie.

Let me start off by saying this is the type of pizza you shouldn't be afraid to eat with a knife and fork.  It is very thin and light.  Not greasy at all.  and oh so very delicious.  You can taste the the freshness.  The taste of the cheese just explodes on impact and the sauce is very good.  some might call it "soggy"  but that little bit of moisture from the cheese is supposed to be there on this type of pie.  And it was just the right amount too because I was still able to pick it up and eat it with my hands being as thin as it was. I very quickly realized that knife and fork was much better approach.

-If you are Hungry order a pie for your self.
-If your not that hungry split a pie with somebody and you might just end up ordering a second one.
-they have beers on tap (sam adams, a light italian beer, a couple others)

A couple things to keep in mind.
-This place is very loud around lunch time.  conversation can be difficult at times.
-It is pricey for pizza. But Its goooood.
    -the service was good.

I will defiantly be coming back here it looks like the other reviews rave about other dishes then the pizza.
