I discovered this place last week and I love it. The food is delicious, inexpensive and they have a variety of comfort foods. Ada and her husband told me they've been in business for over 20 years. I love the place so much I took my husband and friend there for breakfast last weekend, only 4 days after I discovered it.

Ada herself served us! This is a very "Mom & Pop" restaurant. Ada would never forget a name! Even her husband came over to say hello to us.
This is a very basic diner that serves the local breakfast and lunch trade. They close at two pm. Their trade is from the local businesses; they offer a straightforward menu and basic prices. This us where you go when you want table service like at Mom's house. If it's spicy, Ada will tell you! The Baffalo chicken wrap was spicy enough to make my nose run. The omelette was tasty and filling enough.
Not stellar, but not bad for what it is. -

Ada has been in in this location for 19 years. She is the front of house, the management and the staff. Moves through a full house of breakfast eaters like the prima ballerina at the Bolshoi.
Food is excellent and fast. Three cooks in the back run at full speed to keep up with Ada. This is the place to go if you want to be a regular and have the same table reserved for every Saturday at 10 without asking for it.
Today I had the smoked meat, onion and swiss omelette with brown toast washed down with two cups of strong, hot, coffee. Not a scrap remained.
Simple decor, honest food. Rumours that O-town's movers and shakers are regular breakfastees here.Listed in: Guilty Pleasures - Ottawa

Waffles made with real butter. Oh. Wow. Running to the bus depot heading back to Montreal I remembered this little place that we had walked past earlier. We wanted a quick breakfast before leaving OT. QUELLE SURPRISE! The place is delightful, Ada is an absolute darling and the food was diner great. Definitely worth a return visit when we're back in Ottawa.

This place has some of the best customer service in all of Ottawa.
The couple who run the place are extremely welcoming and love to interact with their customers. Sometimes when you go to a place that sort of thing comes across as fake or over the top but the staff here seem to be very genuine.
The breakfast was great and well priced too. It doesn't look like much from outside and it's in an awkward spot on Bank Street (near the 417 and surrounded by few other similar stores) but it's worth checking out if you want a good breaky and if you're a stickler for good service.
The washrooms do need some updating but so too does the entire restaurant so your expectations aren't broken. -

Came here for lunch a couple days ago. Had their steak wrap with fries, lunch special comes with a bowl of soup. Soup is very homemade. Steak wrap was hot and made with fresh ingredients. Could use a bit more seasoning though.
What attracts me the most was their service, and homey feel. The place is family run, by Mom and daughter team. Very friendly and efficient. As a person who supports family and local business, I give this place a thumbs up.
