Review from Steffanie Z.
I'm a shopper that likes a good deal and especially, in today's economy, I couldn't fathom spending over $1000 on a wedding dress - let alone the prices I see women pay on Say Yes to the Dress.
I went into Action Liquidators on whim and at the recommendation of a coworker but she warned me that the decor was a little eighties. I checked out the website before I went and thought the Princess Di type dress was a totally over the top but thought, what could I loose by checking this place out?
Once I entered the store, I was greeted by two fabulous woman, one, who seemed to be the owner and another who actually helped me pick out the dresses. She asked me what styles I liked and didn't like then assured me we would find something great. I was still a little leery at this point until I started to look through the racks. I think I pulled at least a dozen or so that I loved and ultimately found two that fit me almost perfectly and cost less than $500 each.
The gem I landed is an old hollywood style mermaid gown - lace with crystals all over and beautiful. The woman that helped me even cried when I announced I would get the dress because it was her favorite dress in the shop - how sweet is that???
I highly recommend checking out this place if you are a bride on a budget or looking for a more laid back shopping experience. -

Really great service here. Just went to look at the wedding gowns - got personal service, never felt pressured, and the girl really worked hard to find something I might like. If you can get over the "oldness" of the venue, it's a good place to find a heavily discounted gown.

Had the worst experience!!!!!! I'm getting married next year and was passing by this place so I thought, why not have a look?
I was bombarded by the most annoying sales girl ever! I have a pretty good idea of what I am and not looking for and I just wanted to have a quick look and maybe try on 1-2 dresses. I told her I'm just looking (hint). Hint not taken - she kept bringing the most UGLY dresses that were the complete opposite of what I wanted and acted all offended when I didn't want to try them on (why would I waste my time with something that if obviously hideous and not at all my style!). She even argued with me that there is no way I could know if I didn't like it until I tried it (this may be true at times, but these dresses were UGLY shiny fabrics, big puffy pick-ups, bows, etc. when I want a simple, natural, flowy destination gown!).
I finally tried on a dress that she suggested but it ended up looking really terrible on - waaay too tight in the hips, etc. made me feel fat, and I just wanted to take it off. She kept asking me to show her anyways (why? if I already know I don't want it!). She even called me a "party pooper" because I was honest about the dresses that weren't my style.
Finally, she seemed to get the hint but was acting all pissed off and cold. When I said "well, someone else will look good in that!" she snapped: "well, I wouldn't know what it looks like on you because you wouldnt show me!" (since when is my wedding dress experience about her?)
I left the store feeling really crappy, and I do not think this is what any girl's wedding dress shopping experience should be like!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
