Greatly located hostel with great prices esp for this pricy area.
the staff is super welcoming and amazingly fun and upbeat!
the rooms are clean, towels are provided and washrooms are clean too! nice place to stay overall.
we biked here all the way from toronto and since we didn't know what time we'd be arriving we kep calling back and updating them on our progress so that our booking stays. and they patiently waited for us until 11pm. Moreover, even though half of us didn't even make it to the hostel, we weren't charged the full amount for the room for the absent members of the group, even though of course it was too late for all the cancelations.
the breakfast is included into the nightly stay and it was light and nice too: fruits, yogurt, muffins, coffee and tea.
oh and they have a parking for the bicycles!
Highly suggested for those who're traveling on a budget! -

DON'T GO THERE!!!!!
This is the worst hostel I can imagine! No, there weren't any bedbugs (at least not in my room), only some tiny ants and the dorm room I stayed in was ok. BUT: The owner is one of the most unfriendly, arrogant and disrespectful persons I've ever met in my life. Not only that he is convinced that his hostel is the only decent one in the whole wide world and makes you feel like an idiot because in his opinion you are only a stupid tourist who thinks niagara falls is only about the falls- no: when I decided to stay in another hostel and to leave the ACBB after one week, he was so offended, that he tried to talk the other hostel down and when I told him, that my decision is made he said: "OK, THEN GET YOUR ASS OUT OF HERE!!!!". I have never been rude to him, I was a paying customer who just decided to go to another hostel. Period. And I have no idea what is going on with him. But that is not a professional behaviour and he should never ever treat a guest like that! Yes, most of the guests are young people and the ACBB is not a 5*hotel BUT he should show some respect-even if the guest decides to stay somewhere else! Other negative aspects: Building looks pretty run down from the outside, inside also needs renovations. Breakfast: Even though I always got up quite early (8:30-9:30), most of the time there was nothing left but a few apples, bananas and some yoghurt. So please do yourself a favour, and go to another hostel!!! -

GHETTO!!
Have stayed in Hotels in: New York, Boston, Montreal, London, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam and more and this one has got to be the worst!
What they do WRONG:
- Wacko home made bunk beds (all of them!!) that sway and move crazily any time either the top OR bottom person moves. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper so ultimately not a huge problem, but I definitely felt afraid being in the bottom bunk. Beds should NOT move that much.
- The roof and windows leaked in the room that my friends stayed in (top floor)
- No fans offered even in 30+ temperatures, although they installed ceiling fans in the washroom areas (totally unnecessary!) The bedrooms are where they are needed.
- No screens on windows which you MUST have open due to the heat, so bugs obviously.
- Moldy fruit offered as part of the continental breakfast. (3 yoghurts, 4 muffins and old fruit, in the peak of berry/fruit season in Niagara region offered to 6pple)
- Place seems to be under renovations or in need of renovations...
All this for $30/person. Spend a bit more and get a cheap motel/hotel and you won't regret it!! -

Easily the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. No air conditioning - which I could live with if they had provided a fan. There were ants and apparently, bed bugs that I have taken home with me. Also, there were none of the supposedly delicious muffins everyone keeps talking about.
I am really surprised that there are so many good reviews on Hostel World, as I have stayed in many hostels that are much cleaner for a much lower price.
