Perfect for getting your Honger on. This mall is a bit of Hong Kong in Vancouver, what with shops selling tchotchkes and distinctly asian style items... but even if you're not into getting a shirt dress that says "berutiful cool brand style" in large sparkly letters down the front, it's worth a visit.

    Great:
    ++the food court, esp:
-Wo Fung deep fried chicken wings ($4.35/ 3 pcs -- the best in Vancouver: they rival Phnom Penh) & "dong ling cha" (iced lemon tea... huge for $2!)
-Saboten -- really famous from Japan - anything w pork is yummy
the food court also has free wifi
    ++daiso
    ++H mart

    Not so great:
-parking... though it's free, the terrible drivers in their CLKs and N's on Cayennes will make you sad. Opt for the Canadaline!

also: Chinese ppl like cash. Just saying!

    This is a huge mall.

They have free wifi in its third floor food court - that is ALWAYS a plus.

They have lots of stores that sell over-priced items. They also have a (music) water fountain in the middle of the mall.

    Parking is 3 hours maximum.

The asian of asian malls. A lil piece of home for some and whole new experience for others. This asian mall has become a tourist attraction of greater vancouver.

Filled with many independently owned shops, as well as some mainstream brands only found in asia, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Ppl who come here usually visit at least one of the following: Daiso (Japanese-based $2 store), Food court, H-Mart.

Parking lot can be pretty crazy on the weekends. Especially when there are events going on in the mall.

3 floors of mall action.  Definitely an Asian mall with little boutiques and shops.  Ive never heard of most of the shops.  I didnt see anything I needed, I liked the Daiso store which is basically a $2 store for household items.

I went here mainly for the food court.....wow!  I had soy sauce chicken and rice with some veggies. I like it simple and it was quite tasty.  All kinds of good eats, so I had to cruise around the court before I made my decision.  A lot of fruit smoothie places, bubble tea, good snack foods, congee combo meals, chicken n rice dishes, noodle dishes.  Most of the places were cash only.....so be sure to bring cash.

Parking can be a bit of a nightmare....so take that into consideration.

    Happy mall'n!!!

Aberdeen brings a glimpse of home for me - it totally reminds me of Pacific Mall in the t-dot, except it's much nicer and more spacious. It's definitely not as lively as PMall (as we lovingly call it in Toronto), but that's because I picture it more of the big brother of the two - classier and more family friendly, not just full of fake DVDs and shady clothing stores. Aberdeen has style. It has the only Giordano this side of the water. The first Beard Papa in the Vancouver-area opened up here. The amazing Daiso store picked Aberdeen to be it's first Canadian home. All these put together, and how can you not be amazed at the achievements this mall has made?

They also know how to celebrate here - CNY is always bustling, and the decorations they set up are pretty fab. The fountain shows are great entertainment for kids and adults alike.

Bathrooms are always clean, and their food court variety is solid (random White Spot booth always cracks me up). Overall, a good way to spend a few hours if you're in the area! Perfect for picking up gifts or food, or just eating out. Plenty of parking, and a short walk from the Aberdeen skytrain station.

A tourist can't miss out: FOOD COURT!

The aberdeen food court is by far the BEST asian food court I've been to. There's a large variety to choose from: Japanese, Shanghai-nese, Hong Kong Style. Oh, I recently spotted a "White Spot" there too, not sure when they open.

But most (if not all) the food are similar to places that you'd be eating at nice, fancy chinese restaurants/cafes.

I've been to many asian restaurants in Vancouver & Richmond. This is where you want to make your FIRST STOP (if you are a tourist). They have delicious food for an economical price.

There's plenty of seating available in the food court as well. With a big wall of windows with bright daylight, you'd feel like sitting outside a patio enjoying good food.

This review is pretty much on the food. Prices of a majority of stores are shown at the price you'd see in HK, but in Canadian dollars.

I think it's establish now, only go to Asian malls for the food and if it has Daiso (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) or something equivalent.

This is one of the newer and nicer Asian malls around here, but that still doesn't really make it that much more interesting that all the other ones.  Wait, I lied, they do have a few fancy water show throughout the day!  So come on down, grab some food, and enjoy the water show!

They have a great food court showcasing many types of Asian food.  I love getting the laksa, wings, and lemon iced tea.  They also have the famous Chef Hung Beef Noodle (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...), not my personal fave, but some people seem to love it.

The plus side to this mall is that there's plenty of shops here that have a lot of interested crap, and I do mean crap, that you just want to walk around and look at, but not buy anything.  Great way to take a nice walk and digest the food.  They have a fake food store, the cube store, a video game memorabilia store, and of course Daiso!!!

Parking.... yeah.... about that......... well, it is what it is.

Yay! I'm a fan of the food court! Highly recommend the Teppanyaki stall in the food court next to Vera's burger. Awesome food BUT you can skip the milk tea/lemon tea. I have to say they have the most tasteless tea ever. I gave a few chances and sadly to say all were failures, but the food is great.

Aberdeen Mall overall is a failure from the shops to the design of the mall. You have to walk a BIG circle the get the each escalator and the elevator is at the very end of the mall. Its very inconvienient! I bitch about it everytime. The only shops I walk into is Candyland (moved from Yaohan), Daiso and the Cube shop. The rest of the stores are like a repeat of one another ie. typical honger mall. Also, till this day, the mall still have empty units! Such a waste!

Still not enough seating.  I'm getting old. I need to sit every 200 metres and after finding a parking spot I'm exhausted.  The parking is much better than Crystal Mall which is basically nutso, so in comparison, this isn't all that bad.

The mall after all these years since it's secondary inception has been a success in the works.

I have a love hate relationship for this mall.  Love for the merchants and all their services.  Hate for whatever else that I shouldn't mention.

    Where's the seats?
Oh!! they're all in the food court!

Bypass the stores...and head straight to the food court!!! This is not your typical American mall food court with an assortment of fast food chain eateries.  There is an assortment of tantalizing Asian snacks/food/desserts that tempt you as you walk by.....I fell victim to the following even after eating a large brunch:

Leung Kee: FRIED CHICKEN WINGS.....crispy goodness on the outside with juicy white meat on the inside.  The flavor is spot on! Three wings may not seem like a lot per order, but these wings are on steroids!

Frappe Bliss: YUM! So there's the American snow cone which is not spectacular by any means, and then Hawaiian shave ice (Matsumoto's/Waiola's) which is good....and then there is the Frappe Bliss which is BOMB DIGGITY!!!  The ice is flavored (milk, yogurt, strawberry, mango...) and shaved so fine that it looks like coconut flakes....literally every bite is like air.  My preferred combo is the milk frappe ice with lychee, mango, rice balls!  I went here twice in one weekend, that's how much I enjoyed this place!

Beard Papas: cream puff heaven....supposedly low calorie....I question this fact, but none the less very good.  This is a chain, but for some reason BC version seems better than the US counterparts.  Can you say milk tea and mango flavored cream?!

8 Juice: Order the #1 drink, mango with pomelo juice, extremely refreshing and addicting...

Shanghai Shanghai: Thick Shanghai noodles were tasty but nothing spectacular

Oh, and a side note...I didn't get a chance to visit Fisherman's Terrace this time around, but it's an upscale dim sum restaurant on the same floor as the food court.  The line is usually ridiculously long even if you do make a reservation.  The seating is really tight, but the food is really good.  A tad more expensive than most of the other dim sum restaurants, but they have quite a few dim sum dishes you don't normally see at other places (I.e. bitter melon balls with sesame paste....actually quite good surprisingly).  Only disadvantage, no carts coming around so you have to know what you are ordering.

This mall is easy to get to by way of the sky train and it does seem to be nice and clean but to be honest, there are only a handful of shops that I even find interesting. The food court is always overcrowded when we go and most of the vendors in the food court only take cash.

There is a really great restaurant here but they are VERY expensive. This is not my favorite mall in the Richmond area.I really like Richmond but I can NEVER find clothes above medium in these malls so obviously I am not the demographic these places cater to. Don't waste your time going to this mall if you are looking for clothes bigger than medium. However, if you like Japanese goods there are a couple of really nice shops with dishes and snacks.

On Saturdays, especially when it rains, it takes me 30-45 minutes to get a parking spot.

Then, another 20-30 minutes to get out.

There is not much in this mall that you can't find in any other Richmond mall.

Aberdeen Center is such a fun Asian mall!  The layout is huge and the fountain in the center is gorgeous.  I love browsing the many fashionable and different shops here, though I tend to not buy anything.  I also always stop by the food court to the yummy drink stand, because their drinks are so unique in combination and interesting in flavor.  I also always stop by the Daiso here, because it's HUGE (2 floors of super sales!) and I can always find cute and useful items here for cheap!

For me, this is the Daiso mall. Or the Chinese Phone Store mall. Or the Tropika or Guu or Taiwanese Noodle mall. I usually come for a specific purpose, and rarely have the chance to just hang out and peek at all the different stores.
It's funny, since the architecture is like it's trying to be like a department store in a metropolis, fountain/light shows and all.

The best thing about the food court is the seating: lots, and open-feeling. What I hate is that it's usually a question of "how much cash do I have left?" first, then "what looks interesting?". I had "curry fish balls" from Wu Jung dessert for $3 plus tax. it's pretty good if you like junky-feeling snacks :) which I do.
I noticed that the Triple O's isn't there any more. Vera's Burgers is giving this location a try.

There are many cosmetic stores that carry things imported from Japan. Do your own research beforehand to make sure you get what you meant to. I don't remember the name of the store, but I went to one and asked if they had a shampoo the same brand/line as a conditioner they had on display. They said the one next to it was, but that one was labeled deep conditioning. She insisted that was the shampoo even though I told her a few times that it's not. Come on... I can read the original Japanese labeling.

The original Aberdeen was one of the 1st (if not THE 1st) Chinese mall in the Vancouver area, opened in 1989.  It was torn down and rebuilt in 2005 as the mall you see today.

    The good:

The mall itself has a beautiful layout.  Their anchor tenant, Daiso, is a great place to pick up inexpensive + durable items.

Upstairs, the food court is pretty good. You can get anything from Japanese to Malay, and most of it is quite decent.  Also, you have decent restaurants like Tropika, Guu, and Northern Delight.

    The bad:

Parking here is a war zone, especially on weekends.  One thing they should've done was make the lanes 1 way.  I always like to go 1 or 2 levels up.

Other than restaurants, there honestly isn't *too* much worth seeing here, other than a couple of figurine shops.  Everyone I know pretty much only comes here to eat, or hit up Daiso.

Fairchild Group definitely had the right intentions, but they really do need to improve the quality of the tenants to change the image.

So my friend asked me if I've been to Aberdeen Centre in Richmond area which supposedly is the epitome of Asian shopping malls.  After reading all the positive reviews on this, I had to see for myself!

So when I first enter I'm confused, this mall is hugeeeeeeeee.    It's clean, and very modern looking.  The fountain looks pretty nice.   I decide to randomly go in to a Japanese-style clothing store when two ladies working there stare at me and follow me around and around like I am going to steal something!   Then she starts showing me a cute dress and tells me that it's new.  I say "oh that looks cute!" to not look stupid then the ladies wouldn't stop following around so I get out of there.

I go in to another small clothing store, which I won't name.

I see a  cute dress on the mannequin I'm interested in.

    ..................................

Her: This one is very nice.  Very Sexy.  New arrival.

Me: Looks nice.  Can I try it?

Her: *looks happy* yes!  and this one also very sexy.  Very special.  Try!

Me: Ok, i want to try.

    *After trying the clothes*

    Her: Do you want it?

Her: WHy you don't come out with the dress????? I want to see!!!!!!!

    Me: I'm shy
    ....

Me: I take this one.  This one how much?

Her:  hmm..let me check.  *pretends to look at a price tag, when there isn't a price..comes up with a random number*  This one now, is 188 dollars.   BUT, I GIVE YOU SPECIAL PRICE NOW IS ONLY *punches in a number on a calculator*  143 DOLLARS!!!!

Me: It's too expensive...can I have it for maybe 90 dollars

Her: BUT....BUT.......*looks puppy faced*  Ok.  Do you have cash?

    Me: Sorry, only credit card.

Then, another girl comes out and she tells me our credit card machine is not available, so she tells me there is a bank downstairs.

Her:  I'll go down to the Bank with you, ok?

Me: um, I can go myself.......

After insisiting she accompanies me to the ATM, I decide to go by myself.

Then I run for the exit then get on the skytrain.

Overall, I give at least two stars because they do have very cute clothing on sale, but they give you a super rip-off price.  In Hong Kong I could've purchased that dress for maybe $35.

Other stores seem good but avoid the clothing stores.    Food court is GOOD!

PS:  Later on, I ended buying a dress which was 60% off in GUESS in another mall !

ALSO i am NOT trying to patronize the people working at the stores -  they are just doing their jobs.

I would call Aberdeen Center one of the largest Asian hubs in Richmond.  Its like everyone wants come here which makes parking a freakin nightmare!! Aside from that, this mall is pretty nice! a lot of stores ive never seen or heard of before catered to asian fashion,  but i don't go here for that.  I only come here for NCIX computer store (i know.. im a geek SO WHAT!) and their food court. a great selection from japanese to Cantonese cuisine, dim sum, crepes, ramen, baked rice dishes to White Spot.... what... what?? how did that get there???!

oh well, this mall is bursting with color and beautiful ambiance.  Also check out their water jet show in the middle of the mall.  I would highly recommend coming here but leave your car at home and take the very convenient Canada Line to avoid the parking hell you might come across!.. that is all ;)

As a sight to behold, this Asian mall is beautiful, compared to the former shell of itself that used to sit on this plot of land. I am thinking in regards to size, how big this mall is, compared to the old, 3 if not more times in size. What is gone is the boxy look of the old rectangle, and what has taken its place is a mall that goes all the way to the edge of the curb in size, with some curves to add to it, and some nice colour for appeal.

It has become, in this stretch of the neighbourhood, the Asian mall to be at and go to, which creates traffic at peak times. The parking lot is located within the complex, and even though it may be big, it is very hard to maneuver in, due to the zig-zag nature of going up, and exiting. Patience is truly a virtue if you somehow are stuck waiting in here.

The food court is one of the gems of this place, with multiple variations of Asian cuisines to fill you at anytime of the day. The seating arrangement is huge, and expands right to the windows. And if your not craving Asian, there is a White Spot food vendor there for your burger crave.

There is a huge open area with a 'Hong Kong' style fountain, that occasionally shoots water right up to the third level, and is coordinated with the music to provide a nice show during a lunch, or just to sit around. Ads a touch to a place to show some elegance in a shopping plaza. You could sit around watching this, having your bubble tea, and surf the internet, as this mall is fully wi-fi'd out.

Some people could spend hours in the two level 'Daiso' just shopping it out for cheap items, or you could spend it shopping at the many dried Tawainese food stores, many big Asian jewellery stores, two big computer electronic stores harbouring pretty close together on the bottom level. It is a different sense of what westerners would consider to be a mall, but it is a different take when you need a good walk to see different things.

There are some big restaurants that take up the opposite end of the food court, like Guu, Tropika, Chef Hung's, to name a few, when you are not in the mood to sit in a food court setting. Many variations of food, from Taiwanese, hot pot, HK cafe, dim sum, Malaysian.

Just be warned, prime time here, is a nightmare when you want to park your vehicle. Just expect to wait, going in, and wait trying to leave this place, unless your taking the Skytrain!

A parking nightmare! If I was the one driving in this parking lot, I likely would have nicked a car. The lot at Aberdeen Centre is pretty ridiculous on weekends, but even more so when I visited on Christmas. Getting in and finding a parking spot took a good half hour. Thank goodness my sis was driving as we had to turn around from a dead end in the lot not once but twice. There is a gated section that is only for paying parkers and one in which there is a wall at the end of it. Take the fact that this is an Asian mall and that exacerbates the stress of driving in this lot.

The actual mall itself is fine. The restaurants, food court and Daiso are the most appealing places. The shop selection here though is fairly diversified. Mostly made up of clothing boutiques, housewares and things like it. There is also a food market on the bottom level which might be worth checking out.

The mall itself is okay, but the parking lot is worth avoiding if you can.

Just take your typical indoor shopping mall and... Asian-fy it.

This place is pretty big with most of the stores owned by either Japanese, Korean, or Chinese.  Many of the stores even are similar to those you can find in Asia, such as those "cube" shops where you rent a cube monthly and shell your own things.  It's always fun to go into those and see what new fangled things are coming from Asia.  Plenty of girls were buying cute little stationery and even tights?  I heard they have these that "sculp" and "tones" your legs... crazy Asians.

There's also a Candyland for Asian candy fanatics, and clothing boutiques if that's your style.

The foodcourt is mostly Chinese, actually Cantonese, but there is a good selection.  There are vendors focusing on porridge, rice plates, or even desserts.  They also have a Strawberry Cones, a Japanese specialty pizza place that came up with "mochi teriyaki chicken pizza."  We did get a slice to try but the mall counterpart falls a little short compared to an actual Strawberry Cone pizzeria.

Parking is absolutely horrible.  Too many Asians all driving as if they are still in Asia.  I saw one trying to back into a spot over 10+ times before she finally got it... way to validate stereotypes, sigh.

Overall, I like this place.  It's always nice to have somewhere warm to walk around when it's a rainy day outside and the mall just feels spacious, thanks to the fountain area.

I am a fan. Always something here to relieve boredom. You can  explore the jungle of $2 trinkets at Daiso or a stroll through the isles of cute dresses, teddy bears and Hello Kitty collectibles that make up this asian avenue. Also, no asian place is complete without traditional herbal tea/ dried fruit stores. Aberdeen surprisingly has these stores inside their mall.

Aberdeen also have one of the best food court foods! They serve a variety of asian foods including authentic takoyaki ( actually made by Japanese people), HK style cafe food, Shanghinese dumplings, Korean lunch boxes to Vietnamese sandwiches! Theres also bubble tea and the famous Beard Papa.

Don't feel like food court? No problem! Theres restaurants too! Try Northern Dynasty for hand made dumplings and hand made shanghainese noodles. Tropika is on the bottom floor if you are craving Malaysian food. Lasty, theres Saint Germain's Bakery.

As for parking, try not to drive something bigger than a small sedan. The corners in their parking lot are narrow and too many cars have been scratched.

Without its food court, this center wouldn't be on the map.

It's one of the cleanest and brightest Hong Kong malls I've seen in the western hemisphere.  Their top floor food court offers a wide variety of east Asian eats, including the much venerated Hong Kong egg balls/waffle, singaporean noodle bowls, BBQs, and Japanese lunch sets.

The retail situation, however, is an incoherent mix of fashion outlets, sundries/general stores, appliance dealers and, of course, a Lamborgini showroom.

No self-respecting establishment can call itself a shopping center without a Lamborgini store - everyone knows that!

One of the benefits of having a vibrant and well established Asian community in greater Vancouver is that you can truly immerse yourself in some of the more interesting aspects of a culture quite different from your own.

Things we learned in our family field trip to Aberdeen Centre:

    1. Allow yourself an extra 15 minutes and bring your zen to get into the parking garage... OMG.
    2. Children can be entertained for free for long periods of time by parking them at the performing water fountain... it is so cool!
    3. If your butt is bigger than a melon - don' t bother clothes shopping here.
    4. Daiso is an experience more than a shopping trip.
    5. Even if you don't have a clue what you have ordered in the food court... you can trust that it is tasty.
    6. Bring cash.
    7. Prices in the stores are set assuming you will barter.... ick.
    8. If you want to eat dim sum at Hot Pot 1, you need a reservation dummy. Who the heck just shows up and expects to get food - silly suburban girl.
    9. The aesthetic is geared toward a distinct society and a trip to Aberdeen was a feast for the eyes.

Summed up by my nine year old: "It is like we went to another country without getting on a plane!"

I LOVE ABERDEEN. Since the first time I stepped into this mall when I moved to Vancouver, I was in love. The clean, open and modern feel to it definitely makes me nostalgic of HK malls. I love colorful and modern outside appearance that makes the mall stand out and just different than all the other indoor malls in Canada.

My favorite things about Aberdeen are:
    - Convenient location with Canada Line station
    - DAISO ($2 loooooooooooove)
    - Not your average mall and shops - I adore the little Asian inspired and interesting boutiques like Cube Inc and the Hello Kitty store
    - FOOD COURT. OMG. How many times have you caved into eating at some restaurant with your friend(s) that you didn't really want to go in the first place?! Go to Aberdeen food court and EVERYBODY WINS!

Aberdeen food court is one of the best places in Richmond to eat. It's a great place to go with friends who may have a different taste than you or if you just can't decide where to eat. The food court offers tons of different styles, HK cafe style food, Cantonese food, Taiwanese food, Vietnamese food, Korean food, snacks and drinks GALORE and even a Triple O! I just love that you and your friend can get food from different spots and enjoy each other's company and try different foods. There is TONS of seating and sitting by the large windows on a sunny day = extra bonus!

I wish the mall hours were longer, parking on the weekend wasn't so crazy (and frightening... beware of those scary Asian drivers) and the boutiques weren't so freaking overpriced. Other than that, I LOVE YOU ABERDEEN!

Ps. This may be an obvious but... bring your CA$H!

Must check out Wu Fung Dessert at the food court, the friend chicken wings are worth the travel and wait. The skin is super crispy and the chicken is a blast of flavor while still being juicy.

Located conveniently near Aberdeen Skytrain station and other shopping centres. Nice 3-story mall. Most unique is the water fountain on the first floor. Every hour (I presume) the water fountain puts on a show in accordance with music. It's pretty entertaining and pretty good for a free attraction. The mall itself is okay. The best store in my opinion is Daiso which is 2-stories.The food court is on the 3rd floor and has free WiFi. The view from the food court is pretty nice on a clear day. Otherwise, the mall is a great place to walk around but not so much to shop.

Definitely a mall in "little Hong Kong" that mimics those in HK. You are in China. Food court falls short of the crazy ones they have in Asia; it leaves variety to be desired and the advertised free wifi there is... not (at least for me).

However, there is a store that I think makes the mall. You can find there anything you need everyday, for cheap. Just find the Lamborghini showroom. Walk a little bit further and you'll find it: Daiso!

Aberdeen Centre had me feeling like I was in Asia again.  All it was missing is a huge supermarket!  There's a two level Daiso, lots of restaurants and a food court, lots of cute stores for clothes and costmetics, cell phone accessories stores, a car showroom?,  a big fountain in the middle that shoots water almost as tall as Bellagio's in Vegas lol, and lots more!  It was fun to walk around, the architecture and design is nice.

Aberdeen Centre is a huge Asian mall that consists of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Thai stores, hair salons, cell phone stores, gadgets, grocery stores and markets, restaurants, clothing, candy to anything you can think of that relates to Asian - they sell it!

They had a wonderful water fountain in the middle which you can see from each of the three levels. The place is pretty modern looking and it was quite busy everywhere you look!

The bathrooms are located on the third floor by the food court (which includes Beard Papas and Shaved ice). Daiso is a common place that people went to visit as well. It's pretty much a $2 Japanese marketplace. Kinda reminds me of Marukai back at home in SoCal.

They have a garage parking lot and I must say they do check how long you've been parked there. My friends and I were parked for more than the 3 hour allotted parking time and the guy was pretty nice to take our tickets away since he noticed we had out of state plates. (THANK YOU! and I must add he was an eye-candy).

I would go back and it makes you feel like you've visited Asia while you're at the mall. My friends said it reminded them of the Hong Kong malls.

Overall, if you're looking for an Asian mall, you can literally spend the whole day here!

I love the Aberdeen center because it has so many cool stores that you would normally not find at even a concentrated Asian area in the U.S. such as any Japantown or Chinatown areas.

Most of the stores in here sell different kinds of fashion trends but one of my favorite stores here is the David & Goliath store because I got the coolest shirt from there. They have free parking which is a huge plus and it's very clean and inviting looking once you walk inside (and it doesn't smell funny anywhere!)

A weird store in here is the Ferrari and Masarati store since I'm not sure how many people would actually visit there to buy something but it's still a cool place to look at. They always have nice little treats in the center where the fountains are such as huge sand castles / structures or Halloween haunts.

    Impressive.

The Aberdeen Centre is an anomaly in North America.   As a stupid American, to me this center feels like being in Asia.  There are no discernable American branded stores here. It seemed like the center's customers and proprietors were 100% Asian. The center is incredibly clean and everything seems shiny and new. It actually feels like you're in a movie at this centre because everything seems so perfect.

I'd definitlely come back again to check out the food-court and eat again at the OUTSTANDING Northern Delicacy (see: http://www.yelp.com/bi... ).

BC's Richmond has impressive Chinese food throughout the city. It also has many uniquely Asian Shopping Centres such as Yaohan and Aberdeen that do not exist in the USA (except for Yaohan in NJ and Los Angeles).

I'm yearning to go back to check out more!

The Aberdeen Centre is a must visit for Chinese/Asians. The food court is all-Asian, and they even carry Asian brands. For a moment you'll feel like you're actually in Asia.

This is the Asian shopping experience! The only stuff I've bought here has only been from the gigantic $2 Daiso store, but its two thumbs up a fun place to walk around. For the guys, theres a good selection of restaurants and a nice water feature to entertain yourself while your girl knocks herself off!

Don't worry about bumping the BMW in the parking structure, there's lots of them when the parking becomes a nightmare.

The Daiso alone makes this centre awesome!  I didn't have a chance to thoroughly shop in all the stores but it is definitely different from Asian plazas in California!  I like how things are organized here and the centre is clean.  The Singaporean jerky shop is great...my aunt and uncle from Texas loved their pork jerky!

This is a modern Asian mall with a heavy Chinese focus.  The food court has a nice variety of Asian cuisines (with a heavy Chinese focus).  There are several sit-down dining establishments, a produce store, mobile phone shops selling imported models, bookstores, furniture, and discount stores like Daiso.  You frequently see children enjoying the automated water fountain light show.

Little known tip:  Free wifi access in the food court area on the 3rd floor.  Not a bad place to set up shop if you want to work outside of the office or home while eating some quick and tasty food.

My three favourites in the food court area are Leung Kee that provides typical Canto food (my favourite is the flat beef noodles), Wo Fung Dessert (my favourite is the fried chicken wings), and Tim's Dessert House (my favourite are the HK style bubble waffles and phoenix rolls).

The local izakaya chain, Guu, also has a restaurant on the 2nd floor that specializes in sushi flown in from Japan.

On the ground floor Mei Jan Hong Beef Jerky offers Singaporean style beef jerky - very addictive!
