I love Hong Kong tea with set meals so I always will go given a chance. I love russian borch and baked cheesy style rice dishes and pasta so I have come here several times with my family who loves and and thinks 15 bucks for a set meal is a steal.

Formerly known as Seventh Heaven Cafe.  The predecesor had some ups and downs, but they had a decent salad if you could stomach all that mayonaise that the Chinese seem to love to put on their fruits and raw veggies.
I've read various reviews about this new ownership, most of them not very good, but then that was when they first opened a month or so before the end of 2011.

I'm sure staff had to learn the ropes and even managment had to figure out some things.

A few months later, I decided to make an entrance and try it out.

Half forgetting that this is a new place with the same old decor.
The menu wasn't the same, but there were a few items that were left on.  Pricing seemed a bit higher, but I wanted to have a clear mind and opinion of this place, so I tried not to think about those other reviews.

We ordered a Poached egg's with ham, Italian sausage (DOH! it's a wiener!) and toast.  Why the hell do all these friggin places call wieners Italian or German or even French sausages!!!!  This really peeves me really.  Are they not knowing what this really is and do they think that their customers are so stupid that they would think it was really an Italian or some kind of European sausage?  Sheesh..... Egads!

Very simple, came with no ketchup or mustard, which we asked for.  The ahem,,, sausage was cooked on a frying pan or skillet of sorts, along with the ham.  Eggs were poached nicely and the toast was white bread, two slices.

Actually it wasn't bad, but probably not for Yelpers who should know better.....hmmmmm...:???

Second dish was the Pasta combo selection of which you could pick your choice of sauce, pasta and ingredients.
Of the choices, I chose the Pesto sauce, Penne, sliced ham.  It also came with a bit of julienned peppers and mushrooms.
Not much flavour, a bit bland, but thankfully not salty.  I find that some places try to give food flavour with MSG or salt, both of which aren't good for you.

Overall the dishes ordered were pretty safe.

Would I come again?  Probably if I had kids in tow, with their kids in tow and we wanted something simple, easy and they don't mind strollers.
It would be a place that I would recommend to people like Vincci L or Hilda.  They're too sophisticated for that, which means when it comes to HK Cafe's, they've got a bit of adjustments to make first.

Good luck to them, there is potential and there may be a specialty / signature dish that we don't know of yet.  Yet for HK Cafe's, there isn't really any specialties.
