This is a lovely abbey on the shores of the lake.  It was one of the many stops we made on our trip home to Boston from Quebec.  We spent all day stopping in at fromageries, cideries and other gastronomical venues.

It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip.  Most of the grounds are off limits to visitors but you can visit the little shop in the basement that sells religious artifacts and bazillions of homemade edibles made by the monks at the abbey including cider, multiple cheeses, peanut butter, jelly, jam, ice cream and probably other stuff that I am forgetting too.

They also have single sex accommodation - one in the nunnery for women and another in the abbey for men.  I don't know much about that - we were very food focused!  I have a few pics and will post them shortly.

Just a small note, the sparkling cider, has a very short self life. We picked up several bottles last summer, and all of them have turned/ spoiled.

A bit disappointing, but lesson learned.
