How have I never reviewed Abantu?! I do not know how this is even possible! I just dropped $200 on hair. Yes. HAIR. Long, luscious locks of lust. I LOVE Abantu, this place has shot a bobby pin through my heart and I have fallen madly in love with it. If you have ever wanted a wig, extensions, a weave, a diva attitude, this is where you're gonna find it. (I only say diva attitude because after I get some fake hair up in my shit I start snapping my fingers in the air like a black lady on Jerry Springer... mmmHHMmmmm)
There are a lot of places that sell fake hair now, (I like to think I started that trend, but come on this is an age-old secret us ladies have been keeping since we learned how to stuff our bras.) But the hair you can get at Abantu ain't that plasticy shit you get at the dollar-store when you are buying a $5 Halloween wig. They carry REAL hair, and futura fiber wigs which can be used with curling irons at up to 360 degrees (not sure how you would measure the heat of your curling iron before using it on your fake hair, but if you smell burning plastic, you've probably got it on too hot.)
Abantu you make me big, bold and beautiful and if I ever wanted to work in customer service again (which I do NOT) you would be my first choice... imagine the staff discounts....*insert drool* -

I have been here a few times now and find the staff to be quite knowledgable and helpful.They also carry a good selection of quality human hair extensions, accessories , hair tools etc.
I just wish they had a store on the south side of the Fraser river cuz I live in Surrey! -

So....they're not perfect as far as customer service goes, but I have had decent treatment here and they have a great selection of hair. Their worst crime is a bit of an indifferent attitude... they're not always warm and inviting. Definitely I would choose this place over Mohair where I had a horrible experience...but that's another story. Abantu is a better choice and they're prices are reasonable for most of the stuff. A great place to go for hair supplies.

So if you ever need a good hair piece or want to try extensions, maybe you just got the worst haircut of your life, this place has it all in terms of real hair extensions, wigs and pieces. My friend and I bought our hair extension that clip in for fun this summer and it's a perfect match. The sales girls are helpful and will let you try different colours and styles on. They also help you put them in. The variety and quality of hair products is why I would only trust them for this type of hair. It's not cheap ($170) but really great if you're into this sort of thing.

I live outside Vancouver but went to Abantu for see about a clip-in hair piece. When I arrived I found the help/customer service to be non-existent. They did not have what i wanted in stock, but said they would put in an order which would be delivered in two weeks. Two weeks later I called the store and again found the service lacking. I was told they forgot to make the order but would do so the next day. When I called the next day to confirm they had placed the order, they could not find it! It just went on and on with excuses. I was very disappointed with the lack of service and professionalism. I ended up ordering what I wanted from an online supplier.
