I was desperately in need of a new dentist in Vancouver and I do not regret choosing Aarm Dental at Yaletown. I am the most selective when it comes to choosing a dentist as I am very particular about maintaining my teeth and oral hygeine.
My dentist is Dr. Michaan. Because this place has received numerous awards I was concerned that my Dr. would be arrogant and lecturing me and trying to do the whole sales pitch thing. Also I wasn't initially comfortable with choosing a chain...fearing it would be like a hasty come in and get out factory. In fact it is the complete opposite; Dr. Michaan is very humble, gentle and sincere with great bedside manners. She tries to help me save my spending and never pressures me in to anything. The costs are very reasonable, yet Dr. Michaan really takes the time to explain what is going on. When I ask her questions she takes her time to answer each of them thoroughly.
I would highly recommend Dr. Michaan to anyone as I can almost guarantee an enjoyable and relaxing experience at the dentist.
I am definitely looking forward to my next appointment with her. -

By far the best dentist I've ever had. Dr. Lee is a real pro - she takes a soft approach, takes time to explain things and truly cares about the outcome of your experience. Friendly and capable staff surround her at Aarm Dental. I highly recommend this place.

Best dentist I've been to. Dr. Lee is so nice and very gentle when working on your teeth. A real class act. And unlike other dentists I've been to, I wasn't lectured on my dental hygiene. Dr. Lee knows how to deliver the news and give you information without making you feel like your doing a bad job.
The office is basic - no frills. If you want mood lighting and water fountains with a nature sounds/whale calls CD playing in the background then go somewhere else. Personally, I don't need that. The atmosphere the employees create make you feel right at home. I can't wait to see them again. -

I just went here for the first time to get my teeth cleaned, and it was about as "pleasant" as a visit to the dentist can be. Dr. Lee is adorable and her giggly demeanor put me at ease right away. She and the hygienist were exceptionally gentle, taking extra care to make sure that I was comfortable throughout the visit.
As others have mentioned, the ceiling-mounted TV is a nice touch, and the photos that they took of my teeth (in addition to x-rays) really helped me to understand what's going on in there. Another bonus: apparently this clinic is dog-friendly, as another patient had brought his golden retriever along for the visit. -

This dental group was recommended by a friend who uses the Coal Harbour location- I was very pleasantly surprised. They were very friendly and thorough, and if you have dental benefits through your work, they take care of all the billing for you, which is a nice plus as you don't have to pay up front nor deal with the hassle of all that billing paperwork.
While I've only had a cleaning thus far, and the real test will be whether I still like them after they've gotten out the needle and the drill, I have to say, it was a very pleasant cleaning. I quite liked Dr. Lee- give her a try.
Okay, several months later, and they are now totally a five.
I had to get a crown done, and my dental phobia came roaring back, and Dr. Lee was super cool. Incredibly kind and patient and very willing to work with me to insure that I would be comfortable. And, then she drugged me into next Sunday and got the work beautifully done.
Her staff was terrific and kept after my insurance, so I'll be getting reimbursed more than I thought I would be, too. -

Does anyone really like to go to the dentist? Definitely not me. There's something about laying down in that chair that makes me feel like bolting for the door.
The friendly folks at Aarm Dental quickly put you at ease. As other people have noted, Dr. Lee is great. I've been going to her for about 3 years with no problems at all.
They have TVs for you to watch, complete with headphones (eliminate the awkwardness of "Do I talk to my hygienist or not?"), and give you a goody bag of toothpaste, floss and toothbrush and set you on your way. -

This is a bit of a dental factory, with many dentists coming in and out. I've heard the facilities / equipment are good, but if you want a more personal experience, I would recommend finding a different practice, and not a 'Aarm' branch.

I've been to Aarm twice now and have very great experiences both times. My doctor is very gentle and friendly and they have the best equipment to show you what's going on inside your mouth. The coolest thing is this machine that takes photos of your teeth and then highlights the work that needs to be done. I thought the dental hygenists were really great, I scored free floss, toothpaste and toothbrushes. It was spiffy.

Dr. Lee has been my dentist for about 3 years. She is the best Dentist I have ever had. She is knowledgable, skilled, pleasant and professional. She is careful when doing her procedures and is considerate of my comfort while she is working. I have never been kept waiting. Her staff are a pleasure to deal with. I recommend her without reservation.
