My husband and I were a bit "burger and fries" out so decided to look for some Asian places to eat.  We passed by it early with our tour so decided to venture here for dinner.

Since we came to visit Niagara Falls for our honeymoon and it's off season, the place was completely empty.  We were the only ones there.  After we ordered, there were maybe 2 more couples came to dine here.

I wanted something soupy so I ordered tofu hotpot with dumplings and my husband ordered the King Kalbi.  It was interesting that they have LA Kalbi and King Kalbi so my husband asked the wait staff what's the difference.  Apparently LA Kalbi is more chewy while the King Kalbi is more tender considering it's one of the most expensive items on the menu.

When the King Kalbi came, the aroma was amazing!  I had a piece and it was really tender and tasty.  It definitely live up the name as King Kalbi.  After sampling the King Kalbi, my tofu hotpot was definitely very bland.  The dumplings weren't great but again we didn't have high expectation.

Overall, it was still very nice dinner.  Service was quick so we were out in less than 45 minutes and were able to catch our shuttle back to the Fallsview hotel.

This was the first time Yelp reviews has let me down :(

After driving down from Toronto to the Falls and really craving some Korean food I decided to Yelp App a decent place to eat in the area.  Low and behold  "Young Garden" pop up with 4 stars.

There were so many red flags leading to this disappointment but we decided to think with our stomachs rather than our brains.

    Here's the red flags chronologically:

    1) This place is pretty far off the strip (Escpecially if you were walking like we were) 20 - 30 mins away.

2.) Finally get there and now the restaurant is up 3 or 4 flights of stairs up (to add insult to injury!)

3.) The PRICES are INFLATED! We ordered the Dolsot BimBim bop ($16.99!) and Kimchi Soon Tofu (16.99!) and a Crispy California roll ($10.99). (like WTF?) The rest of the menu takes on the same theme. (Guess Im spoiled by Toronto & Markham prices)

4.) The only thing that tasted ok was the roll. The Kimchi Soon tofu was bland and the Dolsot BimbimBop was horrible (I wanted to Bim bim barf!)

5.) I got to witness the wait staff perform a "Cirque show" of cleaning the garbage from different areas of the establishment and then dumping it into a big blue garbage bin in the dining area  (smell and all) *imagine the lingering smell of rotten kimchi and vinegar with a touch of sweaty feet while you are eating*  Gag.

The only reason why I am giving this place .01 star is because it was amusing watching other people walk into the restaurant and seeing their eyes pop out of there heads after seeing the prices on the menu. (& I mean everybody!) haha

If you can put off your Korean food craving till you get back into the city then I advise you to do so.

Otherwise, heed my review and thank me later! :)

    Delicious Korean food.
But a bit pricey, 2 times more expensive, if you compare to the Toronto places.

A Young Garden was yummy and had great service. It was a nice change pace from the usual touristy fare right around Niagara Falls. It was a short walk from the Hilton, and most of the other big hotels here. And it had a bit of spectacle - cooking meat on a grill in the middle of the table. We had Bulgogi (I think that is how you spell it). The kids really loved it!

A very nice Korean BBQ restaurant.  Very roomy  with a few party rooms on the sides with a homey ambiance.  The open kitchen was interesting.  We only ordered 2 BBQ dishes (kalbi and bulgogi) and decided to have them cooked in the kitchen instead of at the table.  We also ordered jap chae and bibimbap.  All were excellent, though the bibimbap was kind of small.  My only downside is that the banchan side dishes were minimal (4), where I'm used to getting 8-10 dishes to sample.

A unique and unusual feature of the place was a call button on the wall at each table.  It seems cheesy, but when I think about it, I can appreciate this.  The waiters stayed away from your table for the most part, but when you pressed the button, they popped up immediately, so service was very attentive without being overbearing.  I always hate it when a waiter comes to ask how your meal is and your mouth is full of food.

My family vacationed in Niagara Falls and of course what do my Korean parents want to eat? Korean food!!  So we just drive past this place and stop and it turns out to be a really nice and decent Korean restaurant!

The prices are decent and the place is very nice. They have individual rooms and we even saw huge rows of food prepared for a tour bus that was going to come in.  They have pretty much all Korean foods - BBQ, soups, etc.  They also have sushi and I got the udon because my stomach was upset, but it was really delicious!

A whole Korean family from LA approves of this place, so that's gotta mean something!  The service was great too!

This restaurant is an awesome find among the crowd of chain-restaurants in this area. The food is a bit expensive (bibimbop $19), stews ($21), but the quality of the food seems wothy of the price. The menu is quite extensive and has plenty of options for vegetarians.

The wait staff are chatty and helpful - our waiter spoke in length about Korean cuisine, lard, and barley / corn tea. The ambience is nice and interesting - each table has a push button switch to call for the waiter.

Two thumbs up for this restaurant.

Went with family for some Korean BBQ - they gave us a private room for us to cook our own meats - got pork belly and kalbi.  Also ordered another soup and a bim bim bap.  Meats were very well-marinated and it comes with a nice tofu soup.  Side dishes are minimal for a Korean restaurant.  Prices are on the high side, but I guess it's expected for this very touristy area.  Not bad - 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4.

The highlight of my Niagara Falls dining experience! Beef and seafood bugolgi was superb and cost less than eating at the local IHOP.  WTH?

We've been twice now and had a great time both times.  The food is very fresh, wide variety -- the scallion/seafood pancake is one of the best I've had.  Pleasant environment, helpful staff, and they let us bring our own wine that we'd picked up touring Niagara countryside.  Not only are they doing a great job, it feels like a relief somehow from the other restaurant options in the area.
