Review from Jenni B.
This place c ame as a top recommendation from a former Montrealer; I read about it and was a little wary of going to a "retro lounge" but took the plunge and headed there one night.
The decor is actually really neat; it does retro without being corny, and I found myself aweing over their hand chairs, in love with the light fixtures, and captivated over several different items from the bar to the booths to the art.
Drink service was fast, the DJ was playing all the best songs, and the patrons were very social and friendly. I could have gone here everynight I was in Montreal and been happier than a pig in mud.Listed in: My Guide to Montreal

Fun place, until it fills up. Then you seriously consider peeing your pants just to avoid having to walk through a thousand people on your way to the bathroom.

We came here for drinks with friends who live in Montreal. My friend recommended this place. There wasn't a big crowd...then again we came here on a Thursday night. The music was pretty cool... a mix between hip hop, trance, and techno. The crowd was friendly.
Their menus are on a vinyl record. The seats are funky with big hands to sit on. Definitely a cool and swanky area to grab drinks with friends. We weren't looking for a quiet place to grab drinks and wanted it to have a positive and upbeat vibe. This place definitely did the trick after dinner! -

I had drinks here one night a few years ago. The scene was straight out of A Clockwork Orange; I was almost expecting to be served a tall glass of milk by a man wearing thermal underwear.

Groovy.
That is what this little club would like to be called. And hey, it is!
A decent place to drop in while you are making your club/bar-hopping rounds on St Laurent St.
It is kind of small and the color red is everywhere. There are some swirly lights, and some red booths in the back.
I dropped in one summer night. It was SUPER packed. At the bar, the men were in the mood to pick up.
The dance floor is tiny and packed and kind of fun.
There is a bathroom inside, but the line up was SO long. I remember that line up. Waiting and waiting. And FINALLY I'm almost there, and then these girls come up and are like, 'we are going to throw up! can we go in first?' 'NO!!!!!!!' was my response. Because HEY, if you are talking to me THAT coherently, you aren't going to throw up at all and just want to skip the line. It was not like it was a little baby that couldn't hold her pee... haha -

had a very bad experience at the gogo lounge... i went to the bar to get me and my girlfriend a drink and while i was at the bar some guy said to be the owner (it seemed like he was) and his friend approached my girlfriend and invited her to take a shot with them knowing she was there with me because the place is small and there weren't many people there... it was disrespectful and creepy i thought... on top of that the bartender started fighting with me because apparently two dollars is not enough tip and she started yelling at me saying that i hadn't tipped her the previous two times she served me and i had!!!
besides they don't have a coat check and you don't want to just leave your stuff at the table
overall it was a bad experience and with so many good places to party in montreal i would avoid it if i were you -

cool ambiance, great music, just could've used more room on the dance floor - twas a little jam-packed for my taste. all in all a good time, and without a cover, certainly recommend checking out!
