A few of us ladies purchased the travelzoo deal ($25 mani/pedi & unlimited wine)
to celebrate a girlfriends birthday. Due to scheduling conflicts we had to wait a few weeks before redeeming our vouchers-maybe this helped us avoid the busy rush of customers??

We hiked up the hill on a sunny sunday afternoon and were instantly greeted with smiling faces ready to pamper us. While we were picking out colors
I noticed there was another large group of girls on their way out.
This probably is why A Froma was out of white wine :(
which would have been perfect on this warm sunny day.
No worries though, the full bodied red which was actually tasty.
I was expecting  them  to serve $2Buck Chuck. Tea, juice, or sparkling water are
also options for those not wanting to indulge.
I upgraded to the gel mani for an additional $15.
I'm happy to say that the color is still holding up and has
retained it's glossy exterior a week and a half out.
Soooo worth the extra $-DO IT!
The ladies that provided the services were all super-friendly.
A Froma is such a cute salon with lots of natural light
and cute little art pieces hung throughout. My only gripe is the limited color
selection for the gel manicures. Other than that, 'll definitely return. . .

I bought the travel zoo deal about 5 weeks ago and got around to using it today. Apparently they sold over 2,000 of those things so i understand the complaints below. However, when you purchase a deal for a salon, you should know to wait a few weeks to use it so you can get an appointment after the initial rush.

I called before they opened on a Friday and didn't leave a message on their answering machine. They called me back an hour later anyway I'm guessing from callerID. So nice! I booked and appointment for 10:30 am the next morning (Saturday). Arrived on time for my appointment, upgraded to a gel mani for $15 and was comfortably seated in my chair.

The technicians were very sweet and we had a few laughs. They offered me tea, wine or bottled water. The services were superb, foot massage was solid. Really nothing bad to say about this place and I've had a great deal of mani/pedis in my day. The interior is adorable too.

Minus one star because the foot baths weren't the best and because they didnt have all of the gel polishes.

I will definitely be a returning customer :)

Been here a couple of times and got friendly, attentive service. I also like the clean decor and comfortable chairs. My most recent mani/pedi wasn't the greatest though-- and I had to ask her to clean some polish off of a few fingertips. Then after I got home I noticed some toe tips needed to be cleaned up too.

They don't seem to ever answer their phone, and I wonder how often they check their voice mail. Last week, I had a really important question for them regarding my mani/pedi appt., but even though I called almost 48 hours beforehand (they ask for 24 hour notice when canceling/rescheduling appointments), they did not return my call and had obviously still not listened to my message by the time I arrived the next day. When I brought it up with them, their attitude suggested the phone wasn't particularly important to them. This is obviously busy a busy place, they should have someone who can answer the phone, or at least check messages and return calls. You know, communicate with the customers.

I was gifted a Travelzoo offer (mani/pedi w/glass) from my sister-in-law. I was hesitant to cash in on it since I saw all the mediocre reviews here! Damn...

The location is tucked in the snug spots of Nob Hill so I can see how it would be difficult to find parking. I went on a Thursday at noon and the parking gods were forgiving on me. Place is clean and due to the odd-ball day & time it was nice and quiet so I got their undivided attention. Two customers left before I was started and I was there all by myself through the end with 2 nail techs.

They offered me tea or water instead of the wine. I didn't complain since I wasn't in the mood for 2 bucks chuck at noon. However, it would have been nice if they asked. Its been a day short of the week since my visit and all my nails HAVE NOT CHIPPED yet. I prefer short nails and tried to be super careful when I got home too. Polishes were OPI. I wouldn't say it was extensive. I always bring my own...since I harbor a crazy love connection to my personal OPI/Sephora, Butter London collection.

Only complaint is that once I was done the techs got up and disappeared to lunch downstairs. They didn't even offer or help me over to the drying station! Neither did the receptionist...and she was right in front of me!

I would certainly come back and recommend you all to go there during quiet hours!

Use their online appointment system. They are created for a reason and are godsends. I was there and they didn't pick up the phones.

Sad that this place has been bombed with so many bad reviews. I was hesitate to go in after reading so many negative ones but I had already bought a Bloom Spot deal so I was going to redeem it in the end no matter what. My friend made us reservations for 1pm on a Friday during the holidays.

I was offered tea, wine or water as soon as I arrived. They also have a bowl of candy waiting for you. I picked out some colors and the young receptionist/nail tech started to set up my station for me. Though they didn't have the massage chairs, I was given a nice bath salt scrub and a generous massage for both my hands and feet. It was a very pleasant experience overall. Best of all, my friend was 30 minutes late yet they still accommodated her which was really nice.

It's been 8 days since my mani/pedi and my nails are still looking solid (though I'm pretty careful after I get my nails done). I will be back if the opportunity comes up again!

I bought a groupon deal for this nail salon, a mani-pedi, and had a great time. The staff offered hot tea and water and I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes for my session to begin. The massage chairs are really comfy and the lavendar salt srub felt amazing on my feet!

Service was fine and the girls were nice, which makes it rough to give them such a poor rating. Though I've had only a few manicures in my life, I know his was a really bad one. Cuticle trimming led to a good deal of meat on multiple fingers getting cut off, which I didn't realize until she repeatedly sprayed & wiped my fingers (and open sores) with acetone/alcohol stung insanely. it jurt.
I had to cover some fingers with bandaids before bed, they were so sensitive. In following days, fingertips became cracked, dry, and peeled from over-chemicalization..list of cons is too long. just a bad experience.

I used a Pinchit deal here and had a great experience.  Even though we were running late the staff still took our appointment and did not rush us.  They did a great job on our mani/pedi/hot stone massage.  The staff is very attentive and offered us a beverage before and during the mani/pedi.  The Opi nail polish selection is very good.  The best part was that the ladies are so friendly and that was something that I don't usually experience at other nail salons.

Great work.  Friendly Staff.  Good nail products. Will be back.

No doubt, it was very difficult to make an appointment for this place.  A friend of mine purchased the mani/pedi as a gift, and I, of course, decided to book an appointment for the day the deal expired.  After trying to book online literally 10 different times, I somehow managed to snag a Saturday appointment.

They don't answer their phones very well, and the website is hit and miss and miss again.  BUT my experience once I got there was perfect.

Jenny was very sweet, asked if I wanted something to drink within 5 mins of my arrival.  My appointment started on time.  I never felt rushed, and I changed my nail color about 4 times.  Jenny tried every single color on me so I could choose the right one.  Convo was great, and the other two women there also seemed very sweet.

I already got a couple compliments on my nails!  Yes, parking was difficult, but we're not in Omaha here, people.

It's not a big secret anymore - you're not going to get an appointment right away with businesses that offer deals.  Know what to expect and you'll be happy!

I never write reviews but this place really pissed me off. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get an appointment. You can't book anything without going three weeks out. After booking three weeks out, I arrived at my appt on time and was told I didn't have an appt. WTF!

If the salon cannot accommodate so many appointments, they should not be selling so many different online coupons.

An adorably cute, clean, and polished (pun intended) nail salon in Nob Hill. After multiple attempts, I finally managed to secure an appointment here to use a $20 TravelZoo voucher that I had purchased. Word of advice: Schedule your appointment weeks in advance! The calendar is booked a several weeks out, primarily because of the number of people coming in to use the numerous deal vouchers that this place has participated in. Great stream of business for them, but terribly high turnover in customer base, so the actual experience you get isn't quite ideal nor personal.

My voucher included the basic mani/pedi plus a glass of wine. I wasn't even offered the glass of wine while there. Even though I probably wouldn't have taken it given the morning appointment time, it would've been nice for them to recognize that it was included in my package.

The place is squeaky clean, and furnished with CB2-like decor. It's a pretty nice experience overall, just lacking the customer service that is generally important for a business such as nail salons.

I can't really say I'd be back, especially since it took so long to secure an appointment and because you have to book so far in advance. It's nice to call a place the week of/week before and be able to get your nails done for any given event. Sorry guys, but I'd focus on establishing a regular customer base rather than participating in multiple coupon-ing sites.

It's sad. I love A Froma Nail & Spa but their decision to flood the daily deals market with half off coupons severely brings the quality of their customer service down.

I loved A Froma the first time I went using a daily deal coupon. So much so that I returned paying full price as a return customer. I also live on the other side of the city, so it says a lot for a customer to trek over to Russian Hill, in an area with difficult parking, just for a mani / pedi.

The problem is, they never stopped selling coupons! Now they are booked out more than 4 weeks in advance and cannot even take walk-ins. It's impossible to reach someone over the phone and how can they uphold the quality of their service with such an influx of customers? Also, what a poor way to treat their return customers. Ironically, because of their greed in trying to pull in as many people as possible, they are losing customers now.

They are obviously in over their heads. I'm not sure why they don't just stop offering half off coupons and lower their prices to match instead?

A Froma, it was good knowing you while it lasted. Good luck with your business model, seems to be working out well for you.

I can see the possibilities for the 1 and 2 star reviews, but my experience here today was pretty solid.  Yes, it is true that if you already bought your deal through TravelZoo, etc., that if you cancel and don't reschedule -- you'll also get charged for the additional service.  So, definitely be sure to stick to your appointment.

I was really pleased with the overall service, and the location is a great part of Nob Hill, and was very clean.  If there was another deal, I'd come back.

    8/15/2011 Purchased a Yelp Deal

I purchased a Yelp deal for 50% off the spa mani & pedi (regularly $75) that was supposed to inlcude a "hot stone massage" and a paraffin dip for my tired joints.  I also bought a gift certifcate for my mom so we could enjoy a pampering treat.

Well, it was a joke folks.  The massage was a warmed stone that was rubbed over my shins and feet.  Yes, it felt nice but was NOT a hot stone massage.  The paraffin dip was a baggy of warm paraffin tied over my heels.

In a city that has amazing nail salons and spas, this place is not what it pretends to be.  Our services were complete in 30 minutes and my fingernails were shaped horribly.

I would suggest you avoid this place.

The comment from Joan B is both inaccurate and highly inappropriate.  There were 2 technicians working on me and 2 on my mom which is typical of many spa type nail salons.

Additionally, we never said anything as inappropriate as they are suggesting nor did we yell.

It was my first time at this salon from a Bloomspot coupon for a 50% discount on Spa Manicure/Pedicure (regular $75). The salon is very modern and nice. The staff is very nice. However, I am very disappointed with the actual service.

For a regularly priced $75 spa mani/pedi - there's not much of a difference from the cheaper nail salons offering. What a total rip off for a little extra scrub and some cheap paraffin in a plastic bag. Totally low budget. For $75, I can go to Bliss Spa or Tru Spa for mani/pedi.

Secondly, the nail technician cut so much hang nail on a finger in a sloppy rushed fashion that she cut a little piece of flesh off me. It didn't bleed at the time of the service and it didn't start hurting until I got home. It's been hurting for 1 week still and I have a nail infection on that finger. I have gotten mani pedi for 15 years in SF and NYC and not gotten an infection after a salon. I cannot be 100% it is from the salon tools and the owner has messaged me several times to claim they sanitize their tools, so it could be just my bad luck and a coincidence.

However, this salon has signed up for many discounts with different offers, I have to wonder about the volume and my technician was rushing from customer to customer so she was a little sloppy with me.

With so many nail salon options in the city - I would never go back there even with a discount coupon or recommend to any friends.

I'm bumping my review up a star, only cuz when I finally went, they did have my reservation. Although, it would've been nice if I received a confirmation phone call beforehand, especially since I had to book my appointment over a month in advance!

They portray themselves out to be a "high-end" mani/pedi spa, but honestly, the actual mani/pedi is just like everywhere else, but way more expensive (good thing I bought a coupon deal). It's nothing special. Yeah, they use fancier lotion for the hand massage, but the actual massage is not amazing.

They do offer you water, tea, or wine, but it's nothing great. It comes in a small plastic cup & the wine is probably a "2 buck chuck."

It was nice to go once (again, with a coupon deal), but probably never again.

I had a coupon from Bloomspot for a spa mani/pedi.  I made an appointment two weeks ahead.  I got there and they were at least an hour behind.  The owner and the young lady at the front desk aren't exactly service oriented, if I wasn't so cranky I would have been embarrassed for them.  I had to reschedule, two weeks out....I arrive two weeks later, scheduled appointment and I STILL waited almost 45 minutes for someone to be available.  Again, the help up front has ZERO clue how to run a service business, it's shocking.

The woman that did my mani/pedi was FABULOUS!  Her name was Sandra and she was incredible.  The nail polish selection here is great and they use OPI so I'm not sure what the other folks mean by chipping easily, etc. I'm pretty hard on my manicures and mine is holding up fine.

Sad to say, I won't go here again just because of the poorly run operation but I was pleased with my service once I finally received it.

Came here on a LivingSocial deal, and was thrilled with the experience. I had a mani-pedi for $20 (regularly $40), while my friend had a high-end mani-pedi for $35 (regularly $70). There wasn't a huge difference between what each of us got, but she had a few extras (leg mask, hot stone massage) on the pedicure. She said she will opt for the cheaper version next time.

The color selection is pretty extensive, mostly OPI brand. The woman who did my mani suggested I break from my usual rounded shape and do a rounded square. It may not sound much different, but WOW she was right. Seven days later, the polish on both hands and feet is intact! And although it was 10 am when we arrived, we opted for a glass of complimentary white wine. It was nice, although we probably could have done without the judgment of the guy who checked us in when he pointedly looked at the clock when we chose wine from his offerings. Let's just assume he was joking?

Total 5 star experience. I'm going back in a few weeks, and hope I'm this happy again!

Been twice - once about a year ago and the second time yesterday.  Both times they have refused to help me so I really can't comment on the quality of service.

The first time I asked about gel nails and the woman at reception coldly said "we don't do that".  She did not try to offer a competing service to retain my business and just let me walk out the door.

Yesterday I walked in about 4 pm - there were 3 techs with 3 clients, and one was just finishing.  I asked about getting mani / pedi and one of the techs called out to the manager who was in back to come help me.  I sat down and waited a full five minutes before the manager came out.  She looked at me with distain and I mustered up the courage to ask if I could get a mani / pedi.  She once again quite coldly stated that they did not have any more appointments for the day.  Even though it was dead quiet, one tech had just finished a client and they were open for two more hours.  As somewhat of an afterthought she said - do you want to book something for Tuesday?  Well Tuesday is valentine's day and I really wanted to get this done Sunday.  I was irritated that she let me sit there for so long before telling me they could not help me.  So I simply said no and walked out.

For $25 down the street I was able to get a walk-in mani / pedi with the massage chair at a place that is open until 7 pm on Sundays.  On the way back I resisted every urge to walk back into Froma and tell the manager that they are hardly the only game in town.  I didn't know what their prices were and after reading all the Yelp reviews I am glad they could not accommodate me.  There are probably a dozen nail salons within a 10 minute walk which are all happy to take walk-ins and cost less than half the price.

I really hope they improve their customer service but I don't see them lasting too much longer, especially given all the competition in the neighborhood.

I really didn't like this place. I took my mom with me. they didn't even give us seats next to each other! and at first they told us to wait to give us two seats next to each other and then they took her to the other side! it was ridicules. it was my way of treating my mom for mother's day! what a disappointment.

The owner wasn't nice to the employees. It was really a third world experience. I'd never go back there no matter the discount.

The location is bad... and my nails chipped immediately after I left the place.

Not friendly or relaxing at all!

Also- the nail polishes are from wallgreens! don't expect quality in this place and get yourself a good Manicure anywhere else in the city.

I went in with one of those coupons for a spa mani pedi and let me tell you, I don't think it was worth it.

First of all - they say the regular price for this service is $70? I've been to a lot of nail salons in the city and know of places that do better service for around $35, and it includes the works - scrub, parafin, massage. First of all, the place isn't equipped with spa-style chairs with a soaking tub for your feet. They are all done in these bowls, and when I went in one day the folks here barely let me soak for five minutes before going to work on my feet.

The service, while friendly and calm, is on the slow side, and when it does happen feels rushed. The space is modern, decor is cute, and the atmosphere is pretty fresh, and the complimentary tea and wine are nice; however my nails have seen better days.

I walked out with a decent cleanup job on my toes and fingers although the guy who did my mani missed some dead skin; also the polish lasted maybe 24 hours before it began to chip; I had an inkling that he was sloppy about removing cuticle oil from my actual nails prior to polishing.

I would go back... for $20. But not for $35. I instead will continue to patronize Sapphire on Hayes (at Cole) which offers an excellent spa/mani pedi complete with a real soaking tub + a long foot massage, scrub, parafin wax treatment, and great, thorough paint jobs - for $33, $28 without the paraffin treatment.

    Positives:
    - The wealth of 50% groupon-like vouchers that you can buy. Your mani pedi costs $20 + tip. That's cheap!
    - Lots and lots of OPIs.
    - Manicurists are friendly.
    - They have diet coke/wine.
    - My mani pedi still looks good after 1 week.

    Negatives:
    - Their phone system is always so noisy. Hard to hear when making appointment
    - They wrongly crossed out my friend's voucher. The guy told us that one of the vouchers is already used and just kinda blankly stared at us. After 5 minutes of discussion, he still looked confused, finally gave up and went back to his table. Um.. yeah, not very professional
    - They only have 2 drying stations, my nails were air dried until they gave me the rapid dry.

found a deal on living social or something for $35 for a mani/pedi (usually $70).  I thought the place was super cute... modern and clean looking.  I was there with a total of 6 girls and we were split into two groups, i kinda wish we were seated together.  I showed up 10 minutes late since parking was a nightmare - seriously a tough situation.  He kinda rushed through my treatment.  I loved the exfoliating soap they used... and the parafin heel dip was awesome.  But i noticed i was done before my friends were (with the foot massage and soaking) and they were there before me.  I was tryin' to figure out how that happened, lol.

My major complaint is that my mani and pedi has faded and it's not even been a damn week!!!!  Seriously lost mega points there because lately, my pedis last at least 3 weeks.  Not sure if it was because I got french paint.... or what.  :(

I really wanted to love this place after purchasing the travelzoo deal. Everything about it screamed love: clean & modern space, snacks, wine. A mani/pedi/wine combo for $20. One thing I found odd was that it was really difficult to make an appointment for 3 people at a decent time after work since they close at 7pm.

The staff was sweet and did a great job, although I find it so odd in SF that they give manicures on top of pillows.

Except, I just couldn't get over the fact that where I was sitting, there were a swarm of tiny fruit flies that kept flying all around my friend and I - and it got VERY annoying. The owners really need to do something about that problem, as it really affected the whole experience for me.  I can't understand where these little flies would come from since I have never seen that problem in any salon I've ever been to.

Weird. But it won't really change much - more of a one time thing since I live on the other side of the city.

Love this place!!  Not only was it one of the most relaxing mani~pedi's I've had, but the manicurists were super friendly and warm.  I was given a glass of wine, and inside on the spa level it was quiet enough to close your eyes and relax.  The ladies asked me how I was doing and made small talk, without over doing it.  Definitely worth the treat!

DO NOT BUY A TRUBATES, LIFEBOOKER, OR ANYTHING OTHER DEAL TO THIS SALON.

Sorry for the all caps, but you should be forewarned.  If you are hoping to be able to call on Monday for an appointment on Friday or the following Friday or the Friday after that you will be disappointed.  I bought a Trubates deal for a mani-pedi in March and haven't been able to get an appointment for anything less than a month out.  They are booked out online 4 weeks out.  THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY WALK-IN APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE.

Unless you have you wedding planning for a year from now and know exactly when you need to get your nails done don't buy anything; it's a waste of money.

I've come here twice now, both with crowdsourced deals for a mani-pedi coupon and both times I've been very satisfied with my service.

The spa itself is very clean and comfortable.  I like the modern, minimal decor.  It's very relaxing and the staff is very sweet and accommodating.

My manicure and pedicures were both great.  In fact, my pedicure is still going strong from this place and it's been about 6 weeks!  They also do a paraffin treatment on your heels with a pedicure, a nice perk most salons charge extra for.  Neither times did I have to wait (I did make an appointment, but it was still not very busy).  I do think they could use a few more color selections however.

Parking can be tough in this neighborhood, so be prepared to get here early to drive around until you find a spot or take PT.

I don't usually write a lot of reviews but I've seen numerous deals on sites like Groupon and TownHog so I felt that people should know what they're getting into.

As with other reviewers, I completely agree: I would give them 5 stars for their customer service.  The manicurists are really friendly and try their best.

What was a huge disappointment was that the mani only lasted a day or two.  I tried this place twice thinking the first time I was just too klutzy but I've gotten manicures at other places and even with my klutziness it usually lasts about 5 days.

Overall, if I see Froma offered on another deal site, I would not purchase it.  Not because of their service, which is amazing, but because I don't want to pay for nails that chip in a couple days.  I'd rather pay full price at my regular place (which is still cheaper than their $70 "spa" mani/pedi).

A Froma is the place to go for a well attended nail job.  They have deals on Truebates, and had specials on Bloomspot as well.  $35 for Spa Mani/pedi combo was such a great deal that for sure I'll be back.

The package includes the regular soaking and trimming, as well as scrubbing, paraffin for the heels only, massage, and the oil capsule that they squeeze onto arms and legs for added moisture.

My pedicure is still chip free well over a week even though I've been walking around in flip flops and jamming them in heels.

I love this place, because I had the most relaxing experience. Its so great, I went there today for the fist time and I'm already yelping about it!

It has a modern and posh look with a hint of Asian decor. The spa is all white with paintings from Andy Warhol. Its is also clean and its smells nice.

It has excellent costumer service. The receptionist was really nice, she offered me complementary wine, water, and tea, while I waited. The also have complementary cookies and chocolates.

Free wine and chocolates a huge bonus :)

I had the spa mani/pedi for $20 dollars from Living Social.  I picked a dark eggplant shade from OPI, my fav brand, from their wide selection of nail polish. Both of my manicurist were very gentle and nice. I forgot my sandals, but they had disposable ones for me. Also, they have massage chairs and they were cool with me hanging out on them for an hour, while my mani/pedi dried!

    Definitely recommended!

PS: my nails look amazing in a fierce purple shade

    10/19/2011 Purchased a Yelp Deal

Brought to A Froma Nail & Spa via the Yelp deal for 50% mani pedi with the "hot stone massage" and paraffin dip.

I guess I was a little deceived by the hot stone massage, since the stones were pulled out of a crock-pot, and rubbed on my feet. It was alright I guess, a little weird since it wasn't too much of a massage, and more of a grazing of a heated rock on my legs. (-1 star)

Kudos for being a very clean and modern-esque place. The staff were very friendly and overall did a clean job for my mani pedi. It was my first time having the paraffin dip, so I wasn't too sure what to expect, but it ended up being a baggy of heated paraffin tied to my heels.

Didn't have too much of an issue booking an appointment, though my roommate Jess & I really wanted to have a girly spa day, and had to come an hour apart. When I came there, it wasn't busy at all, so I was sad we couldn't have had our appointments together. (-1 star)

This place is miserable. Trying to make an appointment is like smacking  your head against a wall. I've spend the 45 minutes trying to call and book something online. Good thing there's avaliblility in 4 weeks..... Forget about it!

I have been here once and it was so so. Not worth the trouble to get an appointment. I'd rather Teashi. They have openings and answer the phone!!!!

After all the negative reviews, I was apprehensive about using my groupon for a spa mani-pedi.  I went in yesterday (the day it expired) and they valiantly tried to fit me in but we both decided that today would be better and they honored the groupon.  It was a very nice pedicure, lots of heel scrubbing and hot stone massage...I was totally relaxed with my herb tea, the comfy chair, and the sunlit and uncluttered space.  My nails and toes look fabulous and everyone was very cordial and friendly and down to earth.  They are a couple of blocks walk away from me, so I will be back!

I came here twice. First time I came there, there was a white guys sitting on the receptuion area (which I figured from the employee that he is the OWNER),he didn't greet me not even a smile. The employee who was doing somebody's nail say hi and smile to me from far away. I stood in front of him and I asked if I could get meni pedi. I didn't have any appointment but he said they could take care of me. Place is clean and nice. The Korean guy is really funny and friendly. Much friendlier than the owner for sure. He gave me massage while I was waiting to get my nail dry. But I really dissapointed that my finger nails chipped on the next day. I mean even other nail salon that is much cheaper could stay at least 5-7 days. Oh,forgot to mention that I got coupon from crowdsavings.

Few weeks after that there is another coupon from Travelzoo. I was thinking why not gave them another shot. This time I made appointment =). When I got there the owner wasn't there. The lady is so nice to me. But then again my toe nails and my finger nails chipped on the next day. I am sorry but I think twice is enough. I am very dissapointed.

Note for the owner: You might want to learn customer service from your employees. At least smile and say Hi (especially when you sit in the front). People come in and they see you first,if you are not friendly at all, you can not expect people to come and do their nails. I am sorry, I am not trying to be rude but that is just common sense. =)

I'm a fan of the modern decor. Clean lines and spacious. I also love the massage chair you can relax in while you wait.

I'm not a fan of the receptionist that was sitting at the table- a young African American girl who looks she's bored out of her mind, would respond with 1 word to your questions and just simply not pleasant.

The employees are nice but still, just like your normal strip mall nail places, they cant refrain from chatting amongst themselves in their own native language.

Overall, it just looks nicer but it's still the same-old nail place that you could find anywhere. Nothing extra ordinary in customer service or the actual service itself.

This is my neighborhood go to, especially with all the deals you can get online. I buy them and stock them up. Be prepared making an appt a couple weeks out is the way to go, they are busy!

The have great OPI nail colors and usually have one or two special lines that they make which is fun. Also, they will help you pick a color if you narrow it down, and like me, have a hard time knowing which looks better on.

The guy that does the nails (sorry I can't remember his name) is the best. He is so thorough and never leaves any polish outside the lines. They do the paraffin dip on your heels and it leaves them soft and ready for sandals. Try not to book or walk in too late (6:30pm or so) they leave around 7 and you will feel like you should rush.

Are you all nuts? I bought a groupon too but I can get a mani-pedi for $20 without a groupon at another place.

Except at this other place, my nails will actually be fully cleaned. I'm a guy, I can see the dirt sans nail polish. At these other places, which I won't name, I'll sit in a motorized shiatsu massage chair and will be spared the mumbled, unintelligible and none too kind greeting vibe at the reception desk. (Is this the owner A?) I much prefer the likely jabs about me in Vietnamese which I don't understand than the cold fish greeting we got on a Friday afternoon.

Note: Owner Bob has written me personally and privately, accusing me of writing a false review, completely ignoring the issues about which I complained: dirty finger nails and an unfriendly reception. Still being right and not "getting" customer service concept. This isn't a four star experience, or it wasn't when we were there. Still isn't.
