From what I've heard, this is the news channel for Ottawa's younger generation of viewers. Perhaps this is because they have Bill Welychka, once famous MuchMusic VJ, as the weather anchor. Or maybe it's because Sandra Blaikie pulls less punches in her interviews, which can often be more interesting than what I've seen on CBC and CTV's six o'clock news shows. Also, the anchors, reporters and some news portions seem to take a lighter approach to reporting the news.
However, being part of that generation, there isn't much that attracts me to this news broadcast. Nothing stuck out about it that made me ever want to watch it as part of my regular news schedule, when I wasn't paid to watch it at work. There's nothing overtly bad about it though, so check it out. It may be up your alley. -

Better for local news than OH, but nothing to write home about. They laid off a lot of the good sports staff they have, and the remainder barely manage to read their cue cards. Better than anything in the market, save Max Keeping and his community efforts
