I've had a bit of a love-hate relationship with this A&P. One the one hand, it's open twenty-four hours, so I could hardly complain about finding a convenient time to buy groceries. It was also a good way to load up on Air Miles. On the other hand, the prices are generally high, despite the occasional fantastic loss-leader.
The selection is so-so, and the cashiers weren't always up on what the store carried. For instance, I bought radicchio here, and on more than one occasion, the check-out girl had no idea what it was.
She'd ask, "Uh, what is this?" I'd say, "Radicchio."
"Radi-what?"
I roll my eyes. "It's like red lettuce." So what did she do? Punch it in as "Red lettuce"!
