Quite an underrated Asian supermarket, esp. if you're in this area. A great pit stop for the neighbours who don't have to make the trek to Richmond, Burnaby or Chinatown, everything is here, with their very own parking lot too.
Lots of selection, good pricing, and since it's by itself in the area--compared to the busier part of Victoria/41st where there's lots more businesses & people, but means more difficulty to find parking, does lack a bit of excitement. -

I love these little stores that have cheap, authentic ingredients from South-East Asia & India. Come on Safeway, I'm not going to pay muchos dineros for the same thing I can get at this place. I love how cheap the spices and rice noodles were!

A solid 3 stars. This market has almost everything you could want. A butcher, live seafood, produce and a wide variety of packaged good. What i like most about this 88 super market is the small section of mexican spices, chillies, sauces and tortillas. If you live close to the area save yourself the time of driving out to Burnaby, Richmond or Dtown Van for a T&T, this small market has it all... Except for the decor, it's a bit cluttered.

It's rare that you can find a local grocery where you can find an extensive butcher shop along with a seafood shop with live fish.
In the case of 88, there's a good selection of prepared meats along with a staff that's perfectly helpful in giving you the cuts you need. The fact that they have a numerous Vietnamese and South Asian clientele means that their selection is quite wide.
The fish department is well-stocked, clean, and includes a massive selection of frozen stuff as well as well-kept tanks of live fish, crabs, and mollusks.Listed in: FTRs, Healthier Choices, There and Back Again, Victoria Drive

I'm a fan of this place. It is actually one of my two favorite local grocery stores.
