I agree with Amanda, bit of a looney bin on air. Very right wing in their bias. I myself lean this way, but they are the Ottawa version bias wise of Fox News. Do not listen to this station if you value a fair look at both sides of any issue. Great station back in their heyday with General Grant, Ernie Calcutt, now a sad remmant

By far, Ottawa's most right wing and sometimes looney tunes talk radio station. The looney tunes mainly comes from the misguided, ignorant and/or angry callers who are occasionally allowed to comment on certain issues. The hosts are much more intelligent than that and they exploit their own outlandish comments for shock value, entertainment and/or passionate (overblown) commentary. Lowell Green is notoriously the worst for this.
Clearly, I don't like this station and only listened to it for so long because I had to at a previous job as a news monitor. The best way to muster through this is to just laugh at the comments and drama flying around. Of course, sometimes valid comments are made, but it's often made questionable by other commentary that surrounds it.
However, this is one of the most popular radio stations in Ottawa and that's saying something. There's also definitely a need for right wing talk radio that CFRA fulfills. I'm not a fan, mainly due to my own political and moral beliefs, but this station is obviously suitable for a certain portion of the city's residents.
