This streetcar always seems to be at the station when I arrive but it's painfully slow. When I wait for it on the way back to the station however it's miraculously never there.

All and all, it's southbound service deserves a 3 star while the northbound service a 1 star.

Worst transit line in the entire city (and in Toronto, that's not saying much!)

Sure, it's decent when it shows up. But when it's -15 outside and you've been waiting for 25 goddamn minutes, it sure makes you rethink why on earth you decided to venture anywhere so far off the subway line to begin with.

Let's get this shit under control, TTC.

By far the worst streetcar in the city.

Worse than the eternally detouring 504.
Far worse than the arduous 120 minute trip from Humber to Neville Park 501.
Worse, even, than the 505 that suddenly stops running at midnight (an insider tip).
And much, much worse than the crowded, reeking 510 on Spadina that always short turns at Front.

You see, at least those streetcars show up.

If you've never been stood up, here's your chance to know what it feels like. I urge you to come keep me company with the rest of the chumps waiting for the "frequent service" 511 at the lively corner of Queen & Bathurst or next to a puddle of puke at the corner of College & Bathurst. You'd do well to get some exercise and walk from either of these intersections back up to the station. I guarantee even then, you won't see a streetcar pass you along the way.

I usually don't review transit because I think it doesn't make sense, but I had so many problems with 511 Bathurst I think it deserves a review.

511 is probably the worse line in the city. I'm glad I don't rely on it for my daily routine, because, geez, it STINKS. There's no waiting time pattern between one car and another, so sometimes it's just a matter of 5 minutes, sometimes half ah hour. YOU NEVER KNOW.

I don't know why it's so bad, there must be something mystical or an alien forcefield preventing 511 from working correctly.

Is it a coincidence that the sketchiest street in Toronto has the worst streetcar line?

The wait between cars can be a brutal 30-40 minutes so if you've just missed one, you're better off walking over to Spadina for the 510.

Sometimes, if I don't see the 511 coming I'll start walking along Bathurst only to reach my destination before I ever see the streetcar. It's a great way to get some exercise and see the halfway house residents funnel Listerine then puke on the sidewalk.

This is the streetcar that got me to purchase a bike and never use the ttc anymore. Infrequent, unreliable, many times too packed to get on, never on time, drivers always leaving even if you are running to the stop.

The ttc has now lost my business completely. They went from making $1200+ on me per year to $0. I have now even moved walking distance to my work to avoid the streetcar like the plague in the winter.

I suggest buying a bike. Before moving to Dovercourt and Dundas I use to bike to work from Coxwell and Mortimer to Dundas and Bathurst and it took me less travel time to bike than to take the unreliable ttc.

    Kiss my brown eye Giambrone!

After watching a nearly empty streetcar chase a half empty one out of Bathurst station. I waited 10 minutes for another which left full.  So the empty one down the line picks up no passengers since everyone gets on the first one and the full one that I am on is too full to pickup people on route.  Way to go TTC.

Also, this route is short and so infrequent that if you are anywhere but the beginning or the end of the route you may as well just walk.

This is a pretty slowwww street car..
Sometimes I can be waiting a good 20minutes!
Especially at night time is when you wait the longest.
    Walking is sometimes fastest!

Gets out-of-hand far too much for such a short line.  I mean, I hate 506 too but you can kind of understand how things can get backed up.  There's no excuse on this line.  Put a few more streetcars on, manage it better and/or go back to buses.  Thankfully I don't have to deal with this line (or 506 for that matter) anymore.

Probably the slowest streetcar I've had wait for, yes even slower and less frequent than the college streetcar.
