That stuff beer companies give liquor stores is cheap crap. But at 4th Street Liquor, they treat it like a special treasure. The girl working in there wouldn't give us a bottle opener or a t-shirt or a hat or a key chain or anything, despite us spending a fair amount on alcohol.
I bet her house is full of the crap. If it means that much to her, she can have it but that's not what it's intended for. I've never bought beer for the gimcracks, but they're giving it away for a reason and it should be for the people. Then again, I don't suppose she's making a lot, so maybe she's on the corner after closing trying to hawk the stuff for anything she can get. If that's the case, somebody should be investigating.......
