I have been in a love affair with this store for some time now, although so far the love is stagnant and unfulfilled. I have yet to purchase anything as the price usually surpasses what I have in my pocket at any given time, however I am saving up and dreaming of some most coveted items for my new home. Armstrong is a very funky and eclectic furniture and home accent store on 104st just off Jasper Ave. They have some very modern and unique pieces and seem to have a focus on earthy slightly Gothic and literal pieces judging by their showroom. You can find things here like clean cut beds made of slabs of wood, modern sofas with clean square lines, and the essential skull candle or deer head (lacquered, not real). This is also wall paper heaven! They have books and books and books of wallpaper for those interested in bringing back an old home favorite look. I am quite enchanted with their Graffiti Bench as well as numerous stationary sets and picture frames. This is a great place to find something home related that you will not find ANYWHERE else. Not in Edmonton anyway.

29 Armstrong is a beautiful furniture store located in a beautiful part of our city - just off Jasper Avenue. I walked in not knowing what to expect, and was greeted by the owner himself. This guy is great! He took the time to tell me about his store, showed me the catalogs, notified me about the ongoing sales and explained about individual pieces of furniture I took interest in. He provided truly great customer service! Just for that I will come back and purchase something as soon as have some savings.
29 Armstrong is not really packed with furniture - there are only several floor models just to give shoppers a general idea of what is in catalogs. On display, there are couches, armchairs, nightstands, shelving units and carpets. Everything is modern, trendy, and of best quality. Most of the furniture sold by 29 Armstong is made in Canada, constructed of solid wood and looks really sturdy. The prices for the furniture are rather high (expect to pay up to $5,000 for a sofa) but since it is made of solid wood, it will last a life time.
Armstrong's owner has a very good taste and takes pride in his store, and it definitely shows. -

This place has the most personality of any of the furniture/lighting retailers I've visited in Edmonton. Good mix of sleek, functional, modern furnishings and lighting accented with some of the most design-forward home accessories (or "Objects of Wonder" as their sign reads). Because of the small size of the showroom it takes some digging to figure out exactly what they have available to order, but the employees are obviously very knowledgeable and eager to help find the exact right products for you. Of any of the shops I've reviewed I would want this team's input on designing a space the most.
