I actually didn't stay here, but I've always wanted to - so when my friends from Calgary said we could come hang out in their room for the night, I jumped on the chance to check out this kitschy Vancouver landmark..
It's cute! Our friends ended up getting two different rooms because of a noise issue, but the hotel accommodated and in the end, everyone was happy. The room was adorable, there was a clean kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and faux plug in fireplace that really just made the room in my opinion. I think each set of rooms is a duplex, the whole thing is adorable and reminded me more of a cottage then a motel.. it's a strange feeling, particularly when you realize Kingsway is RIGHT THERE.
I'd stay here if I was coming into town. It's close to the city (jump on the #19! It's even a night bus!), it's adorable, different, fairly inexpensive and kinda fun. You can't lose.
