Review from tommy g.
Whistler boys vacation and this place was recommended by a local friend. It did not disappoint. Group of 7 chilled upstairs at the lounge for apps and dinner.
Bread and butter ... fried cheese balls ... all the apps were excellent
Great wine menu and fairly priced
Everyone loved their dinner item. NY Steak was amazing. Chicken was huge and buddy cleaned his plate. The ravioli disappeared quick.
The fine dining room is nice, but heading upstairs to the bar/lounge is the spot. A little tough to eat dinner on a chill lounge seat bending over, but worth it for hanging out a few hours and enjoying wine and good conversation with friends.
A+ dinner spot -
Review from Riley S.
Good restaurant in the village. 5 star staff and drinks! I had the dalwhinnie scotch - very tasty and a nice soft alternative to my typical Lagavulin or laphroaig. I tasted the winter ale special and I loved it! It had hints of vanilla, and various spices so even my girlfriend liked it (she hates beer).
To start, I had some chili prawns - very flavorful and tasty (4 stars)! As my entree, I had the ribs, which also came with fries (1 star). I have to say, they were among the worst ribs I've had. Very very fatty, and not flavorful beyond just the thin coating. The fries, which didn't seem to fit with the atmosphere, were something I could go get at any burger joint. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their main dish, so if you steer clear of the ribs, you'll probably be alright.
Apart from my main dish, 21 steps was great, just steer clear of the ribs! -

My boyfriend and I were trying to decide on a place for dinner on NYE and saw 21 Steps/The Attic listed in a restaurant guide book. He was pretty much sold after reading "bacon-wrapped filet" so off we went.
We shared the aforementioned filet bites, the stuffed mushrooms, lamb sausage, seared scallops, garlic bread, and creme brulee. Overall the food was pretty good, if a touch on the pricey side (but hey, it's Whistler, and we were prepared for that reality). I loved the scallops, but like previous reviewers I wished they were just a tad bigger! -

This place was hyped to the max and I had higher expectations for the restaurant. It was a sort of let-down.
We did the 3 courses for $35...before coming to the restaurants, I had read reviews about this restaurant and what I should be ordering. I started off with a Sex on the Beach drink for the first time and it was pretty good.
We got the seared scallops (mango chutney) and when they came, it was 6 tiny ones. I actually had expected massive and juicy scallops but they were the complete opposite. The mango flavor, however, was quite good, but other then that, it was drizzled to the side and was good on its own. The scallops were not even piping hot...cold food when they're supposed to be hot is disappointing for me.
The next plate was the seared tuna with horseradish. The taste was average and bland...it didn't make my tastebuds dance. In my head, I thought, "Next...please."
The bf ordered the baby back ribs and replaced fries with a salad. However, what we didn't know was that the seared tuna had a salad on its side so we didn't need to make a replacement. The only thing that waitress informed us was that there were no vegetables; hence, we replaced the fries with the salad. -2 points for that.
The other dish was the BC Salmon Fillet with rice. The presentation was nice but the food was too salty. Not my cup of tea.
I was eyeing the table behind me to see what desserts looked good and I ended up choosing the chocolate expresso mud pie and the chocolate brownie. The mud pie was good but didn't like the crumbs on the bottom. The bf, obviously, chose the better of the dessert and the brownie served with the ice cream was just delicious compared to the mud pie. I kind of lost count of this competition I have with the bf when it comes to selecting restaurants and foods but I know he's several points ahead of me.
Anyway, 21 Steps didn't really satisfy my tastebuds. And if I return to Whistler, I don't think 21 Steps would be one of my top choices. -

3 1/2 Stars
It is a good location for a large group dinner. When I went in early December, they had a 3 course meal deal for $35. The food was good but nothing amazing. The small plates were surprisingly very large such as mussels & pork ribs. The salads were relatively small with not much ingredients. Fans of mussel at our table enjoyed the mussel dish a lot. Although, I was told that they were definitely previously frozen. I had the BC Bowl (smoked salmon, dill, cream pasta) as my main course and it was excellent. The desserts were okay. -

Had a great dinner days before Christmas, crowded, make reservations.
The 21salad was very good, not too big, candied pecans, orange slices, tomatoes, red onions, goat cheese, lettuce, and an excellent basalmic vinegar dressing.
Rack of lamb was reasonably priced, came with great homemade mashed potatoes and slightly undercooked green beans.Basalmic based sauce was great on the lamb and potatoes.
Companions pork chop was HUGE, although the sauce was too much barbq, pushed it to the side. There were no leftovers.
Nice ambience and a wonderful view of the village stroll and Christmas lights.
Will definitely be returning. -

Came here after a long drive into the village. The place seems very classy but very welcoming. We ordered a bunch of beer and fruity drinks and decided to order some apps and share. We were hungry but not hungry enough to have a whole meal. We had the Three Layered Dip, Crispy Chicken Wings, and Star Anise and Orange Pork Ribs. All were pretty tasty but nothing to crazy that I have to come here to eat again. It was worth the walk in from our condo but didn't want to come back to have dinner here. I must also note that their local beer they sold here is very good. Grandville Island beer is a must try. I was very surprised and impressed with the chocolate stout.

The mussels in the Thai curry broth are worth the flight of 21 steps alone. I have never had such fresh tasting mussels in my life. Ahi tuna was okay and the scallops were tasty but tiny. But ohhhhhh, those mussels! I will dream of them in the future for sure...

While in Whistler, we wanted to try out places we haven't gone to before and found 21 steps. There really are 21 steps...I counted!! Anyways, the food was really good, can't remember what we had, but there were four of us and we all ordered something different and they were all yummy. Casual North American eats done well. Very crowded at dinner time, best to make reservations ahead of time.

Came here twice on my last two trips to Whistler. Great place for dinner! More spendy than getting a burger, but also worth it.
When we were there they had a deal of $35 per person gets you an appetizer, dinner, and drink. Pretty good deal considering the quality of the food and that it's Whistler.
Here are the dishes that stood out:
Appetizers: Scallops and Ahi Tuna
Main Course: Lamb, ling cod, and salmon
Will be back here again in the winter when I get tired of the burgers and want to splurge a bit. -
Review from Sophia C.
Please remember Whistler is a ski resort town...so food here is probably not a priority. Could explain why our hotel came with a complete kitchen: you are better off cooking something simple in your room instead of dining in the restaurants here in Whistler Village.
However...if you want a somewhat decent meal...this "maybe" the place. Please keep in mind that the average meal here is crap and is ~$15-$25/pp, so this place is priced above that, and comes off tastier for the most part. Most reviews here seem to be based on small plates (again, food prices in Whistler are high), but we had the main entrees and just ordered a side of bread to start.
I had the pork tenderloin that came with mushroom ravioli. Man, this portion is honestly good for 2 people to share! The sauce was a tad on the thicker side, but was seasoned well, and the raviolis were big, not tiny! The pork was cooked just right, not hard or raw.
My husband had the BC Bowl with smoked salmon and linguine. The linguine was not cooked all the way through---think al dente x2-not good. The smoked salmon wasn't "smoked" per se...which resulted in the husband having a tummy ache about an hour after we left our dinner. That's not a good sign.
People around us mainly stuck to smaller plate selection due to prices. But again, looking around, no one was really looking wowed by any of the dishes here, taste wise or quantity wise.
Ehhh...I gave it a C+/B- grade at best...mainly because if you genuinely want good food, that's unfortunately located 2 hours south back in Vancouver and you have to settle for mediocre food here in Whistler. This place at least tries to please with the price. -

I plan to eat here again next time I am lucky enough to go to Whistler. Everything we ordered was so delicious that neither of us had "order envy" this time. -
Review from Salsaboy S.
This was our first meal in Whistler. It came highly recommended, but I found it ordinary. It was "good", but nothing special. I loved the service -- Steve was our server -- but the food didn't wow me.
There were a handful of vegetarian items on the menu. Steve was extremely knowledgeable about non-vegetarian ingredients in the food, which I appreciated very much (the vegetable thai curry has chicken stock, the ceasar salad dressing has anchovy, etc.).
I had the fried goat cheese appetizer. It was okay. I wasn't crazy about the maple glaze on it, though the chef correctly identified that the dish needed something sweet to cut the tang of the goat cheese. My entree -- about which Steve was very decivise upon asking which vegetarian entree was best -- was the penne putanesca. It was, again, okay, but nothing special. My father order the ceaser salad and liked it, but thought that the prawns and scallops dish was not great. The prawns weren't prawns, but rather shrimp, and the scallops were quite small.
Prepared to be underwhelmed. Perhaps after more experience in Whistler, I will grade this on a curve. Relative to other restaurants, perhaps this is outstanding. I sure hope not. -

My husband and I were recently vacationing in Whistler, British Columbia for a 5-day snowboard trip. On our last night we elected for a nice dinner out of the condo. We chose to eat at 21. It was a US holiday weekend and we made the mistake of not making a reservation. Apparently, on non-holiday weekends you can dine easily here without a reservation. To avoid a long wait we opted to eat in the upstairs lounge called The Attic. The lounge has comfy leather couches, a full bar, plasma TVs playing ski videos and a few 2-person dining tables. Normally, the Attic is noisy , but thankfully that night it was a quite environment, so we could talk and people watch from a table overlooking the main dining room. Our server was very courteous and explained the menu. Our favorite item on the menu was by far the garlic chili prawns. (4 stars!) Amazing appetizer! If they offered this as a meal I would have ordered it. Instead, I ordered the very popular ribs, which came with fries and green beans. (0 stars!) I have no idea why they are popular as they are fatty and the sauce was not flavorful. I wish I had read Riley S.' earlier review as I would not have ordered this dish. I maybe ate 1/4 of the ribs before having them taken from the table. I hate wasting food, but it was that bad. Are Canadian pallets that void of the taste of real BBQ? My husband ordered the pork chops and enjoyed the dish. Our waiter called a cab for us to get back to our condo, so the customer service at this venue is good.

They name doesn't lie. There really are 21 steps! We had to count a few times, but yes, 21. It was sort of an unmemorable food experience. The view is nice, the service is good, and the atmosphere is sophisticated, even romantic, but the food was just OK and a bit pricey.

Review from Joy C.
I decided to have dinner here before heading back to Vancouver. It was an amazing meal. I even wrote a note to the chef thanking him--something that I rarely do unless I'm extremely happy with the quality.
I wanted to try something different. After looking at the menu, I decided to go for small plates instead of the traditional entrees. (I can get those entrees pretty much anywhere.) The small plates were more creative.
I went for the fried goat cheese with lavender honey. Oh my goodness it was incredible. I even held off one cheese ball to the very last just so I could enjoy it to the last bite.
Next was the orange braised pork ribs with mustard sauce. This plate had a good portion. The ribs fell off the bones and the flavor was very rich. I even sucked on the bones, it was THAT good.
Last but not the least was the seared scallops with mango chutney and cilantro sauce. Holy smokes the flavors just bursted in your mouth. I even dipped some bread in the sauce after I devoured the scallops.
I checked out the dessert menu and immediately saw one thing-- mud pie. Mud pie is my favorite dessert so I decided to go all out and got their chocolate espresso mud pie. It did not disappoint and I finished the whole thing by myself! The waitress told me she was impressed that I finished all the dishes.
Bottom-line, if you are in Whistler Village, you definitely should splurge and come to this place. You will be very happy. -

I'm up in Whistler for the weekend by myself, and I strolled into town, looking for a place where I could grab a beer and some good food at a bar.
The Westin concierge recommended 21 Steps, and they were right on the money. I had two small plates for myself. I had both the bacon wrapped filets and the fried goat cheese. YUM! It hit the spot. That was the perfect amount of food for me, and I left completely satisfied.
While I didn't eat any of the "large plates", it seems like an assortment of small plates is really the way to go here, according to both the other yelp reviews as well as the bartender. Enjoy! -
Review from Deb J.
Omigosh - thoroughly delicious! To start we had 4 small plates and he ordered 1 large plate.
The small plates were all excellent
- Spicy seared tuna with greens (this came out first - it is excellent - great portions, the salad was delightfully dressed, the tuna came with the garlic chili prawns with scallions, peanuts and crispy wontons
- the scallops with mango chutney & cilantro oil were yummy but the scallops were quite tiny.
- the garlic shrimp appetizer was delicious and the shrimp were large enough.
- the star of the show - the star anise and orange-glazed braized pork ribs were phenomenal. There was a light drizzle of Chinese hot mustard on top. At the end of our meal, we decided in lieu of dessert to order another and ended up ordering two extra because neither of us wanted to share. They were that finger-licking good!
His large plate - the top sirloin steak was beautifully executed.
I'm rewriting this review because my original review didn't get completely saved due to bad internet connections at our hotel. So am going on memory and the details are somewhat lost - and memory says - PORK RIBS = YUMMY! Go back to Whistler and get them again!
And the entire restaurant experience was quite nice. We were seated at a window (open) that looked out on the promenade, our waitress was friendly and professional and we enjoyed her very much. -

My friend and I dined here whilst we were in Whistler for the weekend.
They had a promotion - 3 courses for $35CAD.
I had the steamed mussels to start which were good.
For my main course I had the Wild Tiger Prawns & Scallops which came with rice. The Scallops were a bit dry and didn't have much flavour so I was a bit disapointed.
Instead of desert I had an Irish Coffee which was really good.
Overall I enjoyed our dinner, I would recomend it as there is quite a bit of choice on the menu for people with different tastes.
The service was really good, our waiter was helpful and made some suggestions and the food came out quickly even when the restaurant was packed!!! -
Review from Wendy F.
I was in Whistler for 2 days and ate at 21 Steps both days. Normally, I would rate this a $$$, but with the general cost of food in Whistler, I suppose it's a $$ compared to other restaurants.
I had paid $15 for awful ribs earlier in the day, so i was pleasantly surprised to find the special 21 Steps was offering for the evening ($25 for 3 small plates). My friend and I ordered:
seared albacore tuna (which comes with a salad with sesame dressing) **5 stars**
seared scallops with mango chutney and cilantro oil (the oil was so good we ended up dipping all of our bread in it) **4 stars**
bacon wrapped filets (a bit overcooked and not outstanding like the other two dishes) **2.5 stars**
blueberry and apple crumble served with ice cream (perfect ending to an afternoon snack, the bottom was hot and juicy, the top was crunchy and sweet) **4 stars**
On our second night, they were not running the special, so we ordered entrees. They were equally impressive.
local pork chips with bacon chutney served with mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables (this would be a 5* if the veggies weren't cold) **4 stars**
seafood pasta with linguine (the sauce was SO good. it was not runny at all and there was a good amount of seafood in the dish) **5 stars**
The waitstaff were very attentive and professional. They get packed early, so make reservations or go as soon as they open. -
Review from Beryl L.
Went here with a party of 6. Some people got the 3 course. My order and what I sampled deserve 5's. I tried a scallop from an appetizer that was requested that was very moist with a well executed sauce. The salmon was super tasteful and tactful. Apparently the white fish that I think was trout may not have been a match for the noble salmon.
I had a spoonful or several of the berry pie a la mode dessert, too. -

Our recent second trip back to Whistler, we went up to 21 Steps / The Attic again. Husband and I had really great experience the last time we were there and wanted my sister and our friend to try it out as well. The Attic did not disappoint. The restaurant (21 Steps) is on the second floor and the bar (The Attic) on the third floor. We went straight up to the Attic and picked a booth to sit in.
It was our first night in Whistler and after a long travel, it was really nice to have a sit down and throw back a few glasses of beer. The atmosphere was cozy and laid back. The tapas were pretty good too, especially the mussels. -

21 Steps is a local gem in Whistler village. In a town that often puts style and flash above substance, 21 steps delivers great service, big portions and a wonderful small-town vibe. They have a decent beer and wine list and their menu has something for everyone. I would like to see them pare their menu down into something a bit more focused (maybe showcasing more local meat and produce), but what are you supposed to ask for for $15-25 entrees?
the portions here are HUGE. after a long day on the slopes or on the trail this place will energize you (while leaving you in a food coma) for your next day out.
a great spot for a nice laid-back date.Listed in: whistlered

1 word. Mussels. They have the most succulent mussels in various sauces and they're great for sharing. The price is fair as well.
Great selection of Canadian and local brew on tap. Do not order the Bellini unless you feel like a glass of champagne with some mashed up peach fragments floating in it. -
Review from Adam J.
Decided to check this place out while on a snowboarding trip in Whistler. There are tons of places to eat in the Whistler village, so it was a tough pick amongst all the different types of food. Decided on here because of the tapas theme, so we could try a bunch of different things...plus it doesnt hurt that the Yelp reviews were good =)
Started with some of their signature cocktails, including the "X on the beach" and the "Washington Apple martini"...both pretty sweet and fruity, so if you like cocktails like that then go for it.
Our waitress was very friendly and had good service...a little too good if you ask me. We felt like she was really trying to get us to order, and when we asked her for some more time to decide, she came back in like 90 seconds. We really wanted to kill a bunch of time there, relax with a few drink rounds, then order one tapas meal at a time. We didn't have anywhere to be, the views from the restaurant were great, it was snowing perfectly flaky powder...where else did we need to go? But we got the impression that she was hoping to turn the table over a bit faster than we were intending it to be turned over. If you go here, be sure to make it very clear to them that you're going to be there for 2 hours if that's your thing...just be sure to order drinks and food to make up for occupying the table so long (and tip well, of course).
There were 3 of us and we got Fried Goat Cheese, Cold Smoked Sockeye Salmon, a few other "small plates" and all were good. You can definitely get full without ordering any of their "big" plates. We saved room to try the Belgian Chocolate Brownie which came with ice cream...very good and I would definitely recommend.
Overall a nice place to come for an evening dinner after a long day on the mountain. -

Had dinner here last night. In general I was happy. Two of us did small plates. They were mostly good, some hits, some misses, but in all I thought it was pretty good value.
Service was nice. I liked our waitress, though she wasn't perfect. She forgot to fire/order one of our plates. She forgot I ordered a second drink. She never asked if we wanted refills either. We had to flag her down to ask, twice. She didn't bring fresh cracked pepper around like the other servers did. She was sloooow at times too and miscalculated on firing of the small plates. 3 were brought at once and we barely had room to do anything on our two-top. Then long pauses went for the next couple, then she forgot the last one...
That being said, it didn't bother me all that much. I didn't like the chicken wings, way over sauced and the sauce was not tasty. We couldn't finish them. The Star Anise and Orange Braised Pork Ribs were good and worthy of the price of $9. The baked mushroom caps were good too, but small - 4 only for $9 and two of the mushrooms were teeny. The presentation was not good on this dish, unbalanced. The garlic chili prawns were nice and spicy. The bacon wrapped filet bites were edible, though a little chewy and the dish was small - 5 little bites for $11. The bacon was delicious though and perfectly crispy. Bread $2 with really good garlic butter and a Caesar salad left us stuffed with no room for dessert.
For Whistler, I found it a good choice. You could do a lot worse! The room is comfortable and relaxing, upstairs in the St. Andrew House. I saw a lot of people sitting & waiting to get in when we were leaving. I might make a reservation if you want to go. -

Awesome place. We stumbled on this great place while hungry in whistler. We looked up and saw some people eating in the window and thought we'd check it out. We were looking for something reasonbly priced with good food. Althought the prices didn't look to be reasonable at first we were pleasently surprised! Between the two of us we shared 2 appies a pasta and a desert with a drink each.. The bill was under $60!!
Service was great, we never felt rushed and were taken care of, always had a full glass of water at my side. We tried the fried goat cheese appitizer and WOW it was amazing!!
After dinner we went upstairs to "the Attic" for some drinks. What a cool vibe this place had!! A cresent bar with tv's conviently placed playing snowboarding, biking dvd's, gotta love that! Comfty couches to lounge out on.. They also offer the same menu as 21 steps. There was only one bartender up there to serve the entire lounge and I was still impressed on the level of service.
We will be back for sure:) -

Go Canada! This 'mountain food' beats most of the eats in big cities. Great international menu, with big variety of shareable dishes for big groups. Good-sized cocktails after a long day of shredding the gnar, and a good vibe from the staff and clientele.

Walking into this place - i was not immediately impressed. The servers were responsive the food was average. I was repelled by the $3 appetizer "warm bread".
The saving grace for this place was it's food - I ordered the prime rib and I was blown out of the water. It was amazing.
So, if you're looking for a quality meal, decent location, this place is all right. -
Review from Adam G.
Good food and great prices. We did a variety of small plates: Scallops, Fried Goat Cheese, Bacon Wrapped Filets, Salmon, and two others I can't remeber. I believe small plates are the way to go. 4 to 6 is perfect for two.

I ate here with some friends from out of town - usually that's the only time I go to nicer restaurants in Whistler. I got a recommendation from a friend (a local).
We had some edamame as an appetizer - it was cold, but very tasty. I had the spicy thai stir fry. It was definitely spicy and very good. I like it when they add some heat to the food. I also had a great blueberry martini! The staff was very helpful in helping us decide what to order.
We weren't rushed and it was great to sit in and enjoy a leisurely dinner here. A great alternative to the madness that Whistler is on weekends. -

Chose this place after reading the positive reviews, but, unfortunately, this was not a good Yelp find. No issues with the service, and dishes came out at a nice pace. The food, however, was less desirable. Split pea soup with ham: good amount and texture but over salty. Tiny bacon wrapped steak filets: overcooked (see pic). Garlic chili prawns: less would have been more in the sauce and oil department. Star anise and orange pork ribs: nice tenderness but too much in the way of salt again. Baked mushrooms caps: the worst dish as far as value and taste--4 caps stuffed with some ground sausage meat that tasted like it came off a frozen pizza, and each cap was topped with a poof of artificial looking and tasting cheese whiz-like substance. As my companion put it, this place was like a higher priced Chili's--pre-made, frozen food, which is reheated. No chef required.

Review from Brendan M.
Ate at the bar. Had "the classic" meat sauce pasta. Was fine but nothing remarkable. Given the portions, felt a bit pricey at $15 CAD for just that dish. Then again, that's probably as good of a dinner deal as any you'll ever get in Whistler Village. Others in my party seemed to enjoy the salmon, so would recommend that over what I ordered. Waitstaff was very nice. Overall, not a disappointment but decidedly average.

I read some good reviews about this restaurant and I had high expectations however it is an okay restaurant for a tourist area.
The service was awesome and the food was okay, they offered to us a very good deal for a top sirloin because the plate was huge and tasted very nice.
We started ordering a steamed mussels and crispy chicken wings. The mussels were perfect because these were medium size and with a very nice sauce that allowed us to enjoy the strong mussels taste and the light flavour of the sauce.
The decor was normal and the attic is the main attraction however it was close when i was there but looks nice.
If you go there try the Apple Crumble, my wife ordered it and she said it was awesome (she is a pastry chef). -

This review is only for the Attic lounge. We stopped by for a few drinks after dinner and were pleasantly surprised to find a relaxing lounge on the third floor with couches and chairs in a very modern atmosphere. The low ceiling, burlap wallpaper, soft lighting and large horseshoe bar were very cozy and inviting. The cocktails we ordered were definitely above average, and priced lower than most of the Whistler lounges/bars. The caesar was fantastic and the martinis, both the standard gin/vodka and the foo-foo mixtures were great.
I definitely recommend this place for great drinks without the loud bar scene. -
Review from Sasha S.
I ate here when I was in Whistler recently. It's pricey, but it is good. The service really made the place stand out, as the waitresses were very friendly and helpful; also, they didn't rush us, which is always nice.
The actual food is good as well. I had a steak, and it was good. Overall, I'd recommend to try this place at least once if staying in Whistler. -
Review from Martyn L.
21 Steps is located in the central area of lower Whistler village, easy access from the local hotels and ski areas.
The menu is a mixture of Steakhouse and comfort food, with a creative, rather than conservative slant. The environs were contemporary and casual without the cliched 'steakhouse' look.
We arrived 20 minutes early, but were seated quickly, and prompt, polite service continued for the whole visit.
My appetizer (Mushroom caps) was too heavy in cream cheese for my taste, but delicious with it removed; my wife's grilled prawns were excellent and tasty. For main course I had an asian glazed Sirlon that was cooked to perfection and tasted superb. My wife had the a pepercorn filet which was a bit spicy for her taste but still good.
We spent about $50/head including a little wine, which seemed reasonable and we would definitely consider revisiting if we were back in Whistler. -
Review from Dennis M.
I'm with Salasby below. Went with another couple on the 16th of August two days ago. Sorted by economical foods because everything is steep here, including the slopes! We followed the advice to go small plates ($7-11 apiece) instead of the $30 big plates. I went with a 21-salad which was delightful with a nice vinagrette and pecans, my wife went with a tomato plate with a mozarella-like cheese. So far, so good. Three tapas--lamb sausages (only two? like breakfast links)--okay, but not really distinct: thin sliced salmon (lots of capers and brisciuta bread) that was quite tasty; sausage stuffed mushroom caps (also good, and the highlight because they were full of cheese). Dessert--wife had a mediocre creme brule, and I had a blueberry crumb cake with ice cream. the cake was a flat "pancake" that featured granola and slivered almonds, but the berrys had no texture. So, okay, better than average food. A deal? Not so much. I had to zip the lip as the friends bought a shrimp appetizer that I could have got at any chinese buffet--cold, unpeeled shrimp on ice with a good sauce, but really! Good service, and walked out with $92+ budget buster. Grocery store is sky high. Best to bring a cooler from home and cook in the units.

Everything was pretty good. Ambiance very nice by the window, and the selection of small plates was great.
