Review from Jesse T.
It's a little pricey, but the service was great at the 20 King. The only reason I know it's called 20 King is from the receipt. I swear it was called something different on the outside.
We drove 7 hours to Kitchener, and then walked down the way from the Delta Hotel. This was suggested by the desk staff there. My wife had a mushroom pot pie, and I had the wild boar schnitzel. If you're looking for big American portions, don't come here. I got plenty of schnitzel, and some interesting root veggies scattered around my plate. They had Steamwhistle as well as two Mill Street brews on tap. I totally liked both of these brews. I thought the Steamwhistle was going to be another cold American lager, but it was actually a nice take on a Pilsner. I could taste no corn in it. Very nice. The Mill Street Tank Farm ale was sort of like a hoppy amber. I enjoyed this very much and even had another one later in the week in Toronto.
Atmosphere is nice - quiet, with subdued lighting. I would say it's casual leaning towards upscale.
I totally recommend this place. -

I know a lot of people in KW feel some sort of nostalgia for this place, but I can't see why. The food I've had there has ranged from lacklustre to downright gross - how about the white bean and bacon soup, which consisted of a few beans in bland broth and one fatty string of sub-par pork? I was there for a networking event once and the washrooms had no running water. Ew.
