loved it....went here on my own to start and then dragged my girlfriend in. All you can order sushi, and made a la carte - super yummy
they also do chinese and cantonese.....so something for everybody. -

Worst service EVER!!! Staff never said a word to us about how ordering worked, the ONLY TIME we were EVER talked to was when they said we have no coffers here when I asked for one. Staff were literally THROWING our places on the table and walking away... Not kidding... Throwing our plates and walking away!!! Another thing... Get to cash to pay $51.87... NO DEBIT!!!

This is a new sushi restaurant in the Nepean area. The decor is modern, clean and trendy, with large areas for seating and a relaxed atmosphere. It's not quiet or small, so perfect for families and kids. The sushi is quite good, with excellent selection and all-you-can eat dinners or $23.95. I found the combinations interesting, although the sashimi was a little chewier (and less fresh) than I have had in the past.
What really brought down this restaurant's rating was the service. When we visited, they hadn't yet received their liquor license, which wasn't a big deal. More importantly, our waitress barely spoke any English. She couldn't understand things like 'napkins' or 'tea', and many questions we had elicited blank stares. The food was brought out quickly, but we felt like we were making blind decisions about the sushi. At the end of our meal, a cleaning-solvent smell started to permeate the restaurant, which prompted us to finish up quickly.
The food and atmosphere was sufficient for us to try this restaurant again, but they really need to work on their service! -

I have not tried many sushi places in Ottawa but coming from the GTA I've had my share of sushi from AYCE to menu ordered.
I think 168 sushi hits a sweet spot between affordability and quality. Anyone going for AYCE sushi should not expect the highest quality, that's outrageous considering the cost of seafood. Traditionally Japanese culture would consider AYCE sushi to be blasphemy.
Now that we have that aside, when you go to 168 sushi you can expect good quality, tasty sushi. Decent amount of fish in the rolls. Sashimi was fresh, tuna was better then salmon. Decent selection of non-sushi items. Unlimited drink and dessert is also a nice touch.
The service itself is a bit of a hit and miss, on one occasion it took them a long time to bring out the order and we also had to order twice. On the second occasion we were served very quickly and the waiting staff was charming and made us laugh.
Definitely worth a try if you're a sushi fan. -

Came here for dinner with a friend. Good variety of food on the menu with some korean and chinese dishes mixed in. Feasted on salmon sashimi, nigiri, some rolls, some dim sum dishes, and the kal bi. Can only have limited one piece pink tuna sashimi. Unlimited tuna sashimi is the white tuna. Service was good.

I have to say that there is quite a large selection of choice not just for sushi lovers but for people who aren't fans of it as well. I went for the Saturday night dinner buffet. I mainly ordered off the kitchen menu and I had a lot to choose from. The service was prompt and friendly. The decor was trendy and had a really clean style to it. Overall I enjoyed it and would go back again.
