Review from Scott M.
Ambiance: Small and very quiet. There is enough room for about 30 diners in the restaurant so it might be loud if it were full, but during our visit, this place was very, very subdued. Quiet conversation was not a problem at all. Dim lighting, but with a great deal of ambient light spilling in through the front window should it still be bright outside.
Food: The dishes we had were delicious and generally creative although I didn't care for the presentation (I'm not a food snob, but it just struck me as overly pretentious). The chef seems to have a good handle on meat dishes, but lacked for originality on seafood. It was nice that the chef took a moment to come out to ask us what we thought of the meal. All in all, no complaints. Wine list was a little spartan but there were a few gems on the list.
Service: Polite and not overbearing. English only speakers might have a little trouble here as the menu was only in French and the staff spoke some English, but not very well.
Price: Pricey: $30+ per person especially if you have wine with the meal. The 2 for 1 special mentioned in a previous review does not seem to be available any longer.
Hassle factor: None. This restaurant is in an out of the way area of town and did not seem busy at all. They do take reservations, however. Restaurant serves both lunch and dinner while being closed in the afternoon before they open at 5pm.
Overall: 3.5 stars. Good, high-end restaurant. Recommended for romantic dinners or small, formal business dinners.
