100% is a bit of a strange name.  To be honest, I'm not sure just exactly how healthy their dishes are.  What I CAN say though, is that this place is simple, cheap, and tasty.

Parking is available in the strip mall lot.  It didn't seem too bad at all at night.

The inside looks a bit tacky, but you're not here for the ambience.

I had their red bean glutinous dessert ball.  There were a bit small, but done well.  Nice and soft, but not mushy.

I also had a chance to try their tofu dessert with ginger sauce.  This sauce gives the otherwise plain tofu a really spicy kick.

The place is pretty decent if you want Chinese-style desserts.

I came here with Edward L. and Vincent N. after a nearby UYE. They wanted to introduce me to Chinese desserts and new flavors. We had been searching for shaved ice with condensed milk and red beans which I LOVE, but sadly didn't find that on their menu here. What a great assortment of options, though! See the photos for some menu snapshots.

Cheap. Tasty. Simple little place. I'm not sure that the name "100% Healthy Desserts" is appropriate, although they do have some healthier options and some items that are fruit only. Still.

I had the tofu flakes with ginger syrup dessert which is barely sweet at all, but light and tasty and only $4. I also tried the red bean sesame soup dessert which was fantastic also, and I believe $4 as well.

Cash only joint, apparently like most of Richmond.

My friends and I were craving some traditional HK desserts, but we figured "Hey this is Hongcouver, no problem." We were so wrong, locating a strictly "Tong Sui" dessert place was actually pretty difficult, but a few texts to several of our most trusted honger friends turned up this place.

The place is actually called 100% Healthy Desserts - I can vouch for the desserts, but the 100% Healthy part on the other hand is strongly debatable. Most of the desserts were priced between $4-6, and the portions are individual sizes (aka a small bowl or single cupcake sized tin).

We ordered a sampling of filling and non-filling dumplings, baked tapioca's, mango gigi's, stewed lotus seed w/ harsmar, and coconut tapioca soups (xi mi lu). The tapioca soups were terrible and the stewed lotus seed w/ harsmar was interesting.  We all really enjoyed the baked black sesame tapioca, the peanut filled dumplings, and the mango gigi's.

If you need to console yourself during your gluttony, drink a few glases of their water - they have a 5k filtration system that produces "healthy" ph balanced water.

Came here for a quick tea, but it is'nt bubble tea.  It's more Asian desserts and although it says healthy, I really have my doubts.  Sugar? Processed everything?
The only thing that I found really healthy was the tea, plain no sugar.

Everything else consists of white processed sugars, refined wheats and stuff.

However, this is a dessert place and it is quite popular, but just not my kind of thing.

Maybe it's because I can't digest the stuff they serve and that means my selection is limited.

Someday, there will be a place that will have the perfect combination of healthy desserts for people who are Gluten senstive and sugar intollerant.

If you want to gain weight. Come here!

It's just not my thing. I'd want to put tabasco sauce on my ice cream.,,,   Now there's a thought!

This place cracks me up - their menu is worth the trip alone.  I believe the real name of this place is "100% Healthy Dessert" - no joke.  It's great fun watching first-timers wade through the menu.  Page after page of bizarrely named and bizarrely pictured desserts (and some food items).

Very HK-style desserts here, but some more mainstream as well (ice cream.. waffles.. I would avoid them)

Stick to anything "mango" or "gi-gi" and you should be OK.  I've tried just about every item I would want to try here.  My current favourite is the Macau pudding - I have no idea what it is, but it seems to consist of layers of finely powdered animal crackers and custardy whipped cream.  Not so healthy afterall!  The cold coconut noodles are surprisingly refreshing and very unexpectedly good.  I sort of like their Yakult fruit drinks (similar to yogurt Calpico, sweet yet sour) but their Malteser shake will probably be a gentler introduction to their drinks.

They've got tons of more subtle, recognizable Chinese desserts - sesame pudding, baked tapioca custard with red bean (it's good here), glutinous dumplings..  and more seriously Chinese desserts with fungi, dates, and various other stewed things..

As for food - I would stay away, except for their toasties.  It's just a stuffed grilled cheese sandwich with ham or sausage or tuna... a guilty comfort food.  Try not to succumb to the bacon-wrapped sausages.  It's not worth it.  But take a walk on the wild side and find out for yourself :)

The desserts here are definitely overpriced.  There is a wide variety of desserts to choose from but nothing special.  I ordered a grass jelly with shaved ice and it was close to 5 or 6 dollars.  We also ordered a tapioca dessert and the portions weren't that big.  The good thing about this place is that they do have many healthy dessert options (fruits, herbal desserts, etc.). It's also a nice place to meet up with friends. It's conveniently located next to many restaurants and shops too.
