Do you love wearing tacky brand names, putting on way too much cologne, hitting up Caprice, rocking out to TI and hitting on younger versions of Victoria Gotti? Somewhat younger versions? If so, you sicken me, please stop reading my reviews.
If you enjoy partying with crowds who can dress themselves, listen to good beats, go out to have non-violent fun, then read on my friend, read on. I've been to countless shindigs throughout this city, but have always returned time and time again to the madness of 1/2Alive ragers. These promoters are local and you can be assured your feet will dance at their parties. Oh yes, they will. The venues tend to mix up, but a recurring Friday night bash goes down at Pub 340. If your calendar is free and a party you crave, then this is always a safe bet. 1/2Alive also grabs some of the best indie acts around. Nothing beats a killer band in an intimate spot. Those are the only kind of concerts they throw, tickets go fast.
You and I both know you have and love Facebook, so go search for their group. The weekly updates ensure you will be in attendance at some of the only worthwhile bashes in Vancity.
